This my place baby. You won't find a more beautiful forest!

Loved it!

Short and sweet little trail. Fall colors were out around the little pond. A $4 fee is charged per vehicle.

One of my favorite places for a fun quick easy outdoor walk. Beautiful views and the trails are always clean. Great options to up your hike by taking some other trails off the loop! Never kayaked in it but often see others enjoying the lake itself with fishing and dogs swimming!

Long beautiful trail. Really quiet but the sun still shines brightly thru the trees.
There's different trail difficulties.
Definitely a place for a long quiet walk or even birding.
Only found one point that really over looks the trees.

Many trails. We completed the loop around the lake. It’s beautiful.

Lots of dogs on Sunday.

one of my favorite hikes! sunken forrest is quite magical... went mid october and the weather was perfect!

The trail was very hard to navigate but the view was worth it once we found it. It was decently easy as far as endurance just a very steep walk to the oven and steep down from the view point.

Take a picture of the trail map before you head out. Around the group campgrounds, the orange blazes disappear for some reason.

Went with our family, age range from 6-35 and we had a great time. Took the orange trail, beautiful views well worth the hike!

Did the trail for the first time with my 3 year granddaughters, niece and husband. It was a little scary at times because of my granddaughters ages, but then I’m a city girl from the projects in NYC. Anyway, WE LOVED IT and we plan on making hiking our thing to do on Saturday’s.

Love it. The Tower is the best part.

Nice relaxing out and back.
Smooth trail. No roots to trip on

Attractive, well maintained trail of packed soil and crushed stone. Winding with mild to moderate grades in some areas.  Lightly trafficked on this early spring afternoon.  Occasionally intersects neighborhood streets or passes by homes. Overall, very nice for easy going trail run.

This trail is amazing. beautiful waterfall right at the beginning along with a few different hiking trails. devils oven is a cool cave to look at.

Some trails shut down :/. Maybe due to storms we’ll have to make a trip back;)

This is a great place for a small east hike. There is a trail that loops around the lake. You can go kayaking, fishing mountain biking and picnics there. There are also back trails for hiking. One will bring you to the top of West Rock, where you can see over New Haven. Another trail will bring you to baldwi drive which is a paved road that was closed years ago but it's still a hiking trail. Another trail will bring you to Paradise Preserve aka "The field of Dreams". please not the state cut down that big tree at the field of dreams two years ago. I hike Lake Wintergreen daily,so i know it by heart.

Very humid August day and rocks were a little slick. Short scrambles over low glacier ridges were a nice mix in, even having to lift the dog up onto some. Canopy covers well and there is minimal sun. If your into mushrooms....this is a good trail for you. The Orange circle trail on the way back cuts through some large boulders which kids would love.

Beautiful and interesting secluded walk through a shady haven forest of Fire Island

Easy hike but watch for copper heads in the summer. Also good for running if you want a challenge

Nice little trail with rolling hills for trail running. Some street crossings but no traffic.

Great trail, be ready for a workout, and don't skip the steep route up to the top. great view from Bluff Head. You can see the sound, and for miles looking north.

Hiked green rectangle off Dunk Rock, picked up Yellow, and looped back on Blue Rectangle. Beautiful New England forest, Yellow could have been marked better.

Pretty good views in the beginning. Very easy with the exception of the first half mile. not very secluded and you end up hiking between residential homes.
