my 6 year old son and I did this. we did not follow this exact path as we took youngsdale road which had a very steep path to the top of the mountain then hiked the top until we hit the boulder field. my son complained a little about how long it was taking to get there but once we we're there he was so excited. said it was one of the coolest things he has ever seen.

Suggest boots with good tread. Slick in some places. Well maintained with nice waterfalls to view. Save your energy for the climb back up. There were lots of benches to rest on if needed.

Nice short trail with one lookout over the Canyon.

Easy Hike with some nice Views!

Highly recommend bug spray! We forgot and it put a damper on our experience. That being said- not crowded, only saw one duo on the way to the falls and then two duo hikers on the way out. It’s been raining a lot so there’s a lot of mud, footing got a little slippery at times.

The falls were beautiful! I wish I would’ve brought water shoes to sit and soak a while but the bugs chased us out.

There is an industrial road that runs tandem to the trail. It’s ugly but we took advantage of it to help get us out of the woods quicker. We’d do this hike again— it’s a nice afternoon hike!

We backpacked the first third of the trail as an out and back with an overnight. A very pleasant forest hike with spectacular views at about the three mile mark. Some ascents and descents with quite a bit of flat in between. Most of the grades are gradual, so not a difficult hike.

Not worth it. All gravel. Not too interesting

We got to the Canyon at 7:30 am only to find it fogged in. We came back at 9:00, all clear. We hiked the Turkey Path Trail to the bottom of the Canyon. It was a very hot day but easily managed. The waterfalls were nice. We have seen the "big" Grand Canyon, so it was a little disappointing. The hype about it is bigger than the actual canyon. I bet it is beautiful though in the fall. I am glad we went, but wouldn't recommend going to any of our friends. The hike was steep but easy with all the built in wooden steps. The waterfalls? Probably better in the spring. The trail is closed in with trees so it kept the sun off of us.

Start of trail was amazing and views were incredible. Waterfalls were a little weak maybe due to not a lot of rain. Trail was slippery and we saw several people fall, most who were wearing flip flops. Took our dogs and they were able to make the climb back up, us on the other hand had to stop a few times. Good thing there are benches everywhere to sit on the way back!

Awesome trail! My dad and I went on a rainy Wednesday morning. There was no traffic. They're definitely not joking when they say the path is narrow and steep, but it was well worth the trek. There were 2 or 3 trees down that hadn't been cleared yet, but they were easy to move around. Only suggestion would be to add some more markers about halfway through. There is a spot that forks and it's unclear which way is correct. Even though we chose the correct path, there were no markers to indicate that for a long stretch of the path. I would definitely recommend if you're in the area!!

Looking forward to using this app. More later.

Four stars only because this trail should definitely be rated as hard: there’s at least 0.5mi of straight rock climbing and the remainder of the trail has miles of very steep inclines/declines to navigate. As another user mentioned, hiking experience is definitely needed for this trail and make sure to bring plenty of water with you, especially on these hot summer days.

We also saw a black bear run across the trail 30 yards ahead of us about 0.5mi after the rock climbing portion, so be alert!

My first hike in Pa...not bad. Like another person said, you will definitely need bug spray. The falls was not very grand since we haven’t had much rain but it was still beautiful. For someone not use to incline hikes, this would be a good one.

This path is certainly well-used! The waterfalls are beautiful. We walked from the Pine Creek Rail Trail to the top and back down. It was busy on a Saturday and we frequently stepped aside to allow others passage on the trail.

The trail itself is nice. However like others mentioned much of it runs parallel to a natural gas road that is not scenic. You also walk along the road for a bit of the hike. The falls are beautiful even when the water is low. Make sure to bring the bug spray for this one.

definitely a great trail. lots to see!! don't be like me and think that you can carry a toddler up and down the trail. definitely a workout!! totally recommend the trail itself to others!!

the falls were a little dried up, so be sure to go early spring or in the winter when they are frozen. watch for snakes! you do follow the logging path for a little, you didn't miss a turn... simple hike, definitely recommend it for beginners.

Amazing sights of the glacier cut out of Pine Creek below. This was my first time see this in person was taken back by the size of the whole area.

Easy and beautiful! Sucks there’s a pipe line road right next to the trail. Still worth the hike!!!

Look out is great, Turkey path is steep some waterfalls along the way.

Great hike! So very quiet. My dog and I started on Old Laurel Run Tr and linked up with the Fire Tower Rd, Midstate, Spruce Gap and Three Bridges Trails. Took us about an hour and a half, not including the time we spent wondering around the top of the ridge. Spruce Gap Trail is steeper and has loose rocks, but you can catch some glimpses of the mountain side. Weather was perfect, looked like rain but it was cloudy and breezy most of the hike. We began our hike around 5 p.m. Will do again. Accessible and fun.

Fun hike, I done it a few times. Spring much better than summer. Summer time falls lacks water.

This trail was a nice quick hike before work and the waterfall was really pretty. Halfway down the hike however, there's a frac road that cuts into the trail and runs the rest of the length of the trail. you can choose to walk the frac road or hop back on the trail for the rest of the hike.
