I give this trail a 1 only because it is now way over used and populated by flatlanders , I'm guessing mostly due to this app making places like gods bath far too easy to find. I used to love this place, but no longer is it a peaceful clean swimming hole for the locals during the summer. It is instead exploited and littered upon by smartphone toting millennial tourists, looking for that off the beaten path experience. My point is that if more and people want to visit these remote places and enjoy them, then it would be in everyone's best interests to do so respectfully and PICK UP YOUR TRASH! And DO NOT pack anything made of GLASS! Thank you!

Super short but with some good ups.. especially in the snow. It seems fairly popular on the weekends but not obnoxious. The lake is frozen - people were walking all the way out to the island with no issue today.

Completed on 1/11/18. This hike was definetly a low-effort, high-reward kind of trek. There were a ton of incredible views, from Lake Tahoe to mountain peaks to frozen Eagle Lake. A little sketchy in a couple of spots, but definitely doable with some snowshoes and poles. Highly suggested! Didn't see anyone on the way up and only a few hikers on the way down.

Hiked the day after a big rain so the trails were suuuuper muddy and slippery. Water was also a little too high so tough to get into the cave. Would recommend it for a dry day though! Very quiet tail on January Thursday.

Easy hike overall with rock scramble right when you get to the top. Beautiful views from the top. Lightly trafficked throughout.

I love God's Bath. it has a very steep drop to climb down where a rope is attached to use, but with caution, as I'm sure it's pretty old. once you've reached the bottom, get ready for a rocky climb. you have boulders to cross and a very large Boulder to balance across with marginal footing. Again, there is a rope to hold on to but it's very narrow. my husband told me if I start to fall, push out so that you hit the water, not the boulders below. Once you've reached the waterfalls and pools, you can enjoy a peaceful swim all to yourselves. We were alone in a few pools of water.
Be safe and happy climbing!

It is challenging, but stunning. You get beautiful woodland as well as gorgeous hill top views. Wear good footwear, bring lunch and plenty of water and stop to enjoy the amazing beauty.

Very clean and comfortable place to hike and get in the water to play!

Beautiful views of the South Fork of the Tuolumne River.

I just hiked this one today (12/29/18) and really enjoyed it. Beautiful views. The lake was frozen over so plenty of hikers walked out onto it. Very cool. Some parts of the trail were really icy and can be tough to hike on. I saw plenty of people slip and a few younger kids and older adults had difficulty with icy steps.

Great scenery!

Best hike. I have been doing this hike since I was a kid and now get to explore it with my boyfriend and dog. Tiny section with rock climbing but amazing areas where you can jump into the river

did this trail over the summer, everything was dried up. So summer time is not the time to go! would bet spring time would be best!

An easy hike with amazing view.

Amazing view of the frozen lake!! Our first Christmas Eve hike

Very serene park in Auburn with multiple trail options. The scenery is beautiful and you can hear the sound of water flowing for most of the hikes. The hidden falls outlook is a great spot to enjoy the waterfall but walking past it and going down the steps to be by the water is the best part. The blue and red hues of the rocks makes you really appreciate the geological aspect of this park. The trail is generally moderately trafficked and you’ll see a few bikers as well as horses. Be sure to make an online parking reservation if you go on the weekend.

Very nice, but Barbara Springs trail is difficult going downhill.

Awesome!!!! Nobody was there. (on a Sunday afternoon). Keep in mind it's a dirt path off the main road and there's a lot of ditches. When you park, you walk for about a quarter off a mile, then you start going down hill.

December on this trail is awesome. No one around, but still able to make out the path. Waterfall is iced over but scrambling up it wasn’t too bad. Really enjoyed the peace and different falls you hit as you climb.

For weekend visits, you will need reservations ON LINE. Staff there were courteous, they turned me away and asked me to make a reservation outside. A mile away where I could park my car, but couldn’t get any cell phone signal to make online reservation. This is a stupid policy, I decided to go somewhere else. I saved myself $8.

Love it!

it was a great snowy winterland. it was a wonderful trek and not to long. it is also pretty well marked except after the waterfall. then it got tricky so I decided not to continue and headed back down.

love this trail

love this hike. plan for the kids to get dirty, lots of trees on the trail to climb over. perfect hike for kids, but steep for the last 10 minutes. Great for swimming.

This trail will kick your butt about 80% of the time. Take breaks as needed, bring lots of water and a joy the beauty.

Rough for a beginner. Def need to have some semblance of fitness before doing this trail. Awesome photo ops. Did this trail 2 weeks ago before the snow came. Currently has a ‘Closed for Season’ sign up. Will go back when I’m in Chuck. Norris shape and it re-opens.

Trail was easy to follow. The waterfall was running nice due to the recent snow/rain fall. Had a couple decent photo ops. Overall, if you’re a beginner, you won’t find this trail too difficult.

Amazing hike!
