Great Hike! I stayed to the right to hit the high points of the trail first and then enjoyed the view and the way back!

Great place to hike with my dog. Wide, well-maintained trail with enough uphill climbing to make it a pretty good workout. Only saw four other people on the trail.

This hike was beautiful, I recommend going here, Loved It

It was really nice!! Def good exercise and worth the view!!

great hike. easy access to trailhead. beautiful walk next to river. well maintained. hills and terrain offer enough of a workout to feel like a hike and not just a walk.

A very nice moderate hike. We hiked in the winter so no spiders.  it was the perfect hike to get some exercise but not so strenuous that you’re completely spent afterwards. The trails are wide and well maintained. There were some lose rocks on the trails but nothing too hazardous. Overall, a nice hike.

This trail offers one "or two" of the best views around. The trail itsself needs work.

Great trail, narrow at times, but very diverse in terrain. December visited.

We did part of the park, starting out on the Melton Lake Greenway, connecting with Saddle, to middle, then took Lake road back to the beginning again. That part took us about 1 1/2 hours, with our small dog, but he loved it! I must say, the trails were marked VERY well, with maps in places even. Very impressed. We will go back and do a different portion next time. :)

Great trail

east overlook has best views. lots of rock formations. parking can be challenging.

It’s a decent workout with good views of the lake. Nothing particularly spectacular, but a nice walk through the woods on a well-maintained trail.

This took me almost 3 hours total and I was carrying a baby. The blue trail up was no joke. East overlook is beautiful!!! West overlook is meh. The red trail/ridge walk is a nice relief after climbing the blue trail. The white trail is a lot of fun with all the rocks- I bet younger kids really enjoy this part! Most of the people we saw were on the white trail, but it is definitely busier here than I would’ve imagined it to be (they even have an overflow parking area).

I pulled 5 ticks off my dog total (4 at once at the end of the blue trail climb)- I didn’t use her spray because I thought it was cold enough- just be careful. The ones she had were red + black and all black.

I went with some friends that was fairly new at hiking. We got there about 10:30 in the morning and went on all the trials, some were very strenuous with climbing over boulder and rocks. My first time there and would do this again, the views were beautiful with the fall foliage in the area.

Be prepared for a bit of a climb but overall a really nice trail and the views at the top make it well worth it!

Sharp’s Ridge Loop Trail is a roughly 4 mile moderate loop hike located inside the 640 loop in North Knoxville. It is convenient for a short morning or afternoon hike when time is limited and provides a few nice vistas looking south toward downtown and the Smoky Mountains beyond. The canopy of trees can be thick in the non-winter months which can be a nice respite on hot summer days. The only drawback to the trail is that it intermingles with the mountain back trail that parallels it and due to poor marking, can be difficult to know which one your actually on and therefore dangerous. I recommend hiking it at non-peak times to minimize this danger. I’ve also been told it is a good hike in wet conditions because of how well it drains after heavy rains.

A nice trail, though steep and rocky. It’s definitely a good workout, with great views from the top.

Pretty good trail overall. Seen several deer while we were hiking too, which was pretty cool.

Easy morning hike. Took a little over 2 hours, including a couple stops to admire the views.

Absolutely beautiful. Harder than you might think. But if you make it to the end it is well worth it.

good maintained trail if biking direction is critical the best route is to stay left you will go down the steepest hills and up the longer but not as steep the steep ones are very steep to try and ride up trail is part old fire road and some trail most is shaded but the power line hill is in the wide open has lake access about half way

Great hike! Strenuous, but not long. No rock scrambles or anything either. Couple of spots with loose gravel, but watch your step and you'll be fine. Views from the East Overlook are fantastic! The West Overlook is okay too, but you'll have to climb up a couple rocks to get the best view through the pines.

The steep mountainside makes it feel like you’re high up in the trees. It’s very popular with bikers so if you hike it, listen and watch for them.

It really needs to be marked better, though. We ended up on the bike-only trail by accident and it could have been dangerous. No blazes made it guesswork the whole way.

It's a good trail for a nearby escape. However, I feel a little uncomfortable when by myself having known the area and its reputation. I always have my dog with me and she loves her mom so that helps.

The trails could be marked better — the directions on this website actually don’t match up with the signs posted. We got turned around and ended up walking back along the road.

Some parts of the trail went through very dark parts of the forest along a creek, which felt pretty magical. Take a stick for clearing out spider webs as you walk.

Great quick little hike with some really good views and lots of shade. Would definitely recommend to others.

fairly difficult trail but worth doing at least once a year.

I only hiked paved part of trail so scenery didn't change much in the 2.5 miles I did. This section is well suited as a bike trail.

Great trail. A few downed trees but easily managed to walk around them. great view at the top. worth it.
