Lot’s to choose from, but not well marked.

This trail is great for people who just want a quick short hike! Half the trail is rooty but the other half is not really rooty and is great for running! The part that is in the woods is well marked so it is pretty hard to get lost.

very nice for family walking, biking, etc.

There are so many great trails at this park. Also a working farm with a ice cream stand. This has become my favorite walking spot!

beautiful trails well marked and dog friendly but a little busy.

Very nice walking trail. Lots of different little trails to walk around. I saw a beautiful dragonfly that I got the most amazing picture of and I saw a cute little turtle trying to cross the path. Great path for young kids or for husbands that really don’t like hiking but enjoying playing Pokémon go. Lots of Pokémon gyms and Pokémon spins.

So buggy! Went last weekend on a beautiful sunny day , a little bit warmer than usual for the time of year and couldn’t believe how buggy it was. The trails that are in the power lines were not buggy because they were in direct sunlight but I had to walk super fast in all the shaded areas and could not stop because of how many mosquitoes there were. Would like to go back and follow entire trail next time but will certainly be bringing my bug spray!! The trails were clearly marked and it was nice and quiet no one was there!

Awesome trail will do it again

Was really surprised at the quality of these trails. Took the kids on Haselton Farm and a few side trails to hit a nice 3 mile loop around the park. There's some decent elevation to be had and once you get about a half mile in it feels like you're deep in the wilderness. Trails are very well marked once you get started, recommend starting at the bottom of the hill next to the dog park.

Great hike and the ice cream shop/petting zoo is a fun ending! Take a trail map as the trails overlap many times and some are poorly marked.

Not good at all if you go make sure you have mask too much mosquitos I didn’t finish cause can’t enjoy

Nice, easy trail for biking. Mostly flat and all paved. Starts out at Cross Point towers in lowell provides a pleasant, mostly shaded ride with a lake/beach along the way. Bring a lunch and relax at the picnic tables, or grab a slice of pizza at Zesty’s along the way in Chelmsford.

beautiful trail, I wish it was slightly better marked but fantastically kept. bugs are out and it was swampy but fun

Scenic loop with multiple trails off the main path.

Bruce Freeman rail trail is now expanded into Acton. The description should be updated to inform walkers and cyclists the features of the full rail trail. The new section called Phase 2 begins in Westford at Rt. 27. The new section includes Westford, Carlisle and Acton. The new section has mile markers and I believe better warning lights at the crossings. There is a bridge that crosses Rt. 2. Many beautiful upgrades to the new section which is all paved as is the first phase. Many benches. There is a winding section that is pretty fun to ride on that is parallel to some businesses. There is a beautiful engraved granite marker pointing you to which direction to continue with miles listed to the towns on the rail trail. At this marker, the rail trail turns toward Acton or you can ride into a park.

Great easy walk nice park for kids. Very nice 9/11 memorial there

A very easy walk. Great with little kids; mostly stroller friendly. I liked that there was a dog park (although we didn’t use it this time) and a playground. There was a lot of activity with families and party’s (birthday and baby shower) and a lot of dogs (on leash). It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking.

Loved the views. Well groomed path.

Beautiful views and just a nice chill ride

I love this place. Very easy hiking. Benson Park has a well groomed paved path around Swan Pond and gardens. But then they have actual trails. No great views not much elevation but for what it is it’s great. If you want a nice quiet walk in the woods then Benson Park is it.

This is a great trail for running, hiking, and provides the chance to see some wildlife. Some of the trails which branch off of the north side of the indicated loop are pretty unkempt, and often dead-end after becoming pretty rocky/less ideal for hiking and running.

Awesome place to run. Lots of twists and turns. I got lost and ran an extra mile, but totally worth it. Can't wait to go back!

Tried and True; we love taking the Nashua River Trail at Mine Falls Park. We did try and deviate from the normal routine by taking a riverside trail before the overpass of the highway. Turned out to lead no where and was very narrow and slightly overgrown towards the end. Best to avoid that segment in the future, but it did add an extra mile to our trip.

Great hike for the whole family. Easily traversed with little to no elevation across a fairly flat terrain. Great views of the pond and other wetland areas as you make your way through the reserve. Some trails that branch off the wider ones appear to be used heavily as mountain biking trails. Probably best to avoid those when walking in a group or with dogs. Otherwise fabulous spot that we will continue to go to again and again.
