We were a group of 4 and did this hike in 3 days 2 nights in the clockwise direction (opposite to the map), camping at Kedumba River and Chinamans Gully. A very challenging hike, particularly Day 2 (in this direction) heading up The Col (eastern side of Mt Solitary). Basically a whole day of vertical. However the effort paid off with a spectacular view at the top of The Col and a logbook to sign as well. we also found this direction made for a relatively easy predominantly downhill Day 1 and a very fun Day 3 coming down . should not be underestimated. Plenty of steep sections, with a gruelling Day 2 up The Col with incredible scenery, diverse terrain and varied ecosystems from dry scrub to rainforests. Absolutely stunning lookouts along the way, particularly from Mt Solitary plateau but it is also very challenging in parts, mainly the ascent and descent to Mount Solitary plateau.

Beautiful trail, well marked. A couple of places you had to scramble over rocks. Spectacular scenery

I found it pretty easy to navigate and traverse. Stunning walk. Magnificent waterfalls. Proper footwear recommended.

HikingGreat!

Gorgeous view from the top of Clover Fall. Easy walk from the entrance to the bottom of the fall. It starts becoming challenging if you aim to go the top of the waterfall. No marked track or direction available. It can be very slippery if it’s wet. Make sure you have good shoes with strong grips. Also a person knows the area will be very helpful.

HikingGreat!

Challenging but very rewarding with spectacular scenery. The descent at the start and the ascent at the end are both very steep and will take some effort, especially in hot weather. The boulder section can be hard to navigate as there are multiple possible routes. The whole loop took us about six hours to complete.

The views are stunning. You should get your swimsuit, in case you want to swim. The river is so clear as well. Loved it!

Fire trail pretty much all the way, the last four hundred meters are bush bashing. The view at the end is awesome

HikingGreat!

Hard track very steep but that’s what you’ve got to expect with this short walk with such big elevation, really well kept and the views at the top are awesome, keep an eye out for loads of birds, lizards and if you’re lucky some fur!

Did this track twice. It was raining the first time and although it was hard and slippery, we managed to trek to all the smaller waterfalls. the following week we were determined to return and complete the track to the last and biggest waterfall. The track between the previous falls to the big one is very sketchy as it can be steep and unclear so be careful. Not recommended for beginners and wet weather. Definitely one of my faves so far as it's a bit challenging and has many waterfalls with pools.

AMAZING views by Wentworth falls - one of the best walks we’ve ever done. Made a few wrong turns and ended up on Wentworth pass back to the conservation hut. Forgot to start recording until at empress falls - 4hrs all up with stops.

Wish there was more to discuss the Aboriginal life in the area. Lots and lots of people. The new suspended bridge is great and the track is well maintained. Highway traffic was heard for some of the walk.

creek flowing after the recent rain and pretty view at the bay. only did cowan to the bay and just doing this part is not hard - just some rock scrambling.

This is a hard but rewarding hike! We travelled anti-clockwise and found the decent easy, the path is obviously worn, although there are little markers and you may walk for several km without seeing the next one. Pack a PLB as there is no reception and download the map. A trowel wouldn't go astray as it is a long day out. You may need to do some river crossing so I would also recommend taking a small hand towel and a spare pair of socks. It is so much fun scrambling over the boulders, lots a of teamwork needed here and sometimes you may have to double back but there is no right through. Take as many breaks as needed and stay safe!
