My fav is the orange trail. Lots of geocaches to find throughout the whole area. Beautiful trails. The only downfall is people don't have their dogs on leashes and they leave dog poop behind :(

Good outing ....esp fun in the winter time.

Walk, jog or take the dog. Easy, rewarding and enjoyable.

Long Sault is my go-to for hiking and walking the dogs. There are a few trails to choose from and it’s quiet, but you can hear traffic from nearby main roads.

nice spot to walk the dog

Nice variety of trails; all well marked. Very picturesque. I recommend the red trail. It follows the creek and is very peaceful.

Amazing trail and one my favourite hikes!! Scenic lookouts and fun terrain to climb around the entire route! Takes you to a beautiful waterfall with a lot of view points from above and below.

In terms of hiking experience, 5 stars. Recommend going in the fall: great colours and temp. Advise making use of this app’s map - trail has a few forks and options which lead in different directions. Crossing, I mean balancing over the stream, with a small dog and camera in hand, will be personally memorable. Enjoy!

One of my favourite trails. Well marked. The salmon spawning in the fall is amazing to watch.

Nice paths, but a bit boring. You can hear the traffic noise from the road nearby. I wish I brought my horse, but even a bicycle would have made the trails more exiting.

lots of paths to follow.
pick a different route each time you go.

pretty nice hike ! the trail is not really marked but easy to find. the view at the end is so beautiful.
moderate hike that can be done in 2-2h30 !

Well marked trails, salmon were swimming upstream which was cool to watch. Lots of spots for the pup to hydrate. Very wet and sandy.

I would rate this trail more as moderate than easy, but it was still enjoyable. There are lots of great views along the trail. Make sure to wear proper footwear as the rocks are slippery and there are several muddy spots along the way. The creek crossing was challenging, look for the crossing slightly off the path, it's much easier.

You can get lost for hours and it is the best thing ever!! This is a great trail for ATV !! 5 stars !!

Great hike through cedar and oak forest. Falls are a cool spot. Only drawback is the amount of litter and garbage. What is wrong with people? Next time I will bring a garbage bag.

Great loop to hike or run. The hills can be tough so make sure to pace yourself and enjoy. Lots of smaller loops if you are short on time and there is another 7.2 ish km of trails on the east side for more exploring.

Great for Jeeps. First time taking our Rubicon JL, definitely will be back!!

Great hike, I’ve done it three times and it’s always a good time. It’s a moderate difficulty with the exception of crossing the river which is difficult with small children or more senior hikers. The waterfall is definitely a highlight and swimming is possible at the fall. The only downside are potential campers that can be noisy and litter.

Nice hike with some decent elevation changes. My 10 year old daughter’s new favourite trail.

Nice and easy

Great forest trails, well marked, lots of options.

Ganaraska is great, but I'm curious if anyone knows what 'lake' this refers to?? I've never come across a lake in the area that's identified in this listing...

This is a fun and fairly easy hike. The only challenging part is the river crossing. There are some great views and swimming opportunities and the waterfall at the end is pretty cool. It's a great place to bring your dog on a hike or do some free camping.

There are 3 trails in total that all meet at certain points along the way to form a loop. We took the Marsh Trail and it was well marked with blue markers, not yellow as indicated on the signs. A few big trees were down and lots of poision ivy be aware. As well with July the deer flies were very bad. Nice boardwalks and you cross a nice creek with a shady spot. Of course we went and viewed the Petroglyphs such an amazing piece of history. Gates are locked at 5:30pm

A great place to horse back ride.
Lots and lots of beautiful trails... but we try to avoid weekends because the forest is loaded with noisy motorbikes and quads in the summer holidays

Nice trail to introduce children to hiking.

Very nice wooded trail. Easily can be done is less than 1 hour, a few hills but nothing too tough. Well marked except one spot when you come to a road, go right.
