Easy ‘walk in the park.’ About a third of the trail is paved, the rest is very well maintained dirt/sand pathway. Great Rocky Mountain and foothill views that stretch from Fort Collins to Golden. Compliments to the city of Longmont for creating this great local open space.

Easy trail. I went clockwise around. Only one other person on the trail. Wind was super crazy today, I had to brace myself a few times. I did get to hang out with some deer. I enjoyed myself.

It was great I. The morning, not busy. I’m a beginner and this was more than doable!

Nice and easy Sunday meander. We walked up to the first bench on the Wapiti, sat on the bench checking out the scenery and bikers zooming by.

Great for kids and mountain biking. Not difficult.

I enjoy taking my dogs here; 5 stars when it’s not super busy. Pretty views.

I’m a beginner and had no trouble. Excellent mountain views.

This is a great place for an easy winter hike. It offers nice views and is not very steep. It is a popular place on the weekends with several dog walkers and the like. Nice sunset too. Nice short evening hike with the dog. We saw a few deer so I very much recommend not letting your dog off leash.

Very nice and well maintained trail. BUT....the directions by Google Maps do NOT take you any where near the trailhead. I access off the park at Lakeview Circle and Lakeshore Drive

Ok short hike on the front range. However, I was forever having to drag my dogs away from piles that other owners have left- not pleasant!

Good for a short but scenic walk.

Beautiful views, easy walk.

The West lake loop is perfect for dog friendly dogs! My young boys love to run and play there but my senior boy also loves the easy walk.

Nice hike with just a little short uphill that’s a little rocky but easy. Lots of people and dogs. Parking lot has restroom, trash & recycling, & picnic tables. Be warned that parking lot is small and even though it may seem reasonable to park in the area signed for trailers as several people were doing, DO NOT do it! I got a $35 parking ticket :(

Pretty spot, but the loop trail is under construction. Now a short out and back. Check construction status before going.

Best trail in town.

Easy walk, mostly clear of snow, beautiful views

Every now and then we pick this trail as an alternative to Eagle Wind (on the other side of the road) though generally Eagle Wind is nicer imo. There's a daredevil pilot who hangs out here a lot so you might get to see some of his acrobatics, which is kinda fun.
As is true in this whole area, there are a lot of rattlers here so keep your ears open and your dog close.

This is a sweet little open space that feels like the midwest. If you go across the street to the trails on the west side, there are fewer people.

As city trails go, this is a really good one. Excellent views of Longs Peak, the Indian Peaks, etc. Great birds: blue heron, pelicans, coots, merganzers and a year-round nesting pair of bald eagles. It's a vibrant city park with lots of people having fun fishsing, supping, kayacking, slacklining, hammocking, biking. There's even a short spur up to an old farmstetad museum where you can hang out with goats, ponies, cows and chickens. If you live in the area, make a point of visiting this park .

This has long been my favorite close-to-home trail. You almost never completely lose sight of town/civilization but other than that, it feels fairly wild considering. This is a research area for rattlers because there are so many here so be careful with your pooch and keep your ears open at all times. Going clockwise keeps the cities more out of view. Great trail on foot or on bike.

We’ve done this trail several times on foot. First time on a bike today. Definitely some tougher spots for a beginner but overhaul great trail! Seen wildlife every time we do this one!

Sweet little area. Feels like the midwest.

I like this trail because it is a quick run, fairly varied terrain, and the views are nice.

Easy trail, narrow in some parts. Very dog friendly which was awesome. Good casual hike.
