Easy hike with an amazing reward at the end!

Why the app says 7 mil ???????

on Denny Cove

It was a nice, short, difficult hike if that's what you're looking for. Personally I didn't think the hard work getting there was worth the view at the end, but to each their own.

Great trail. There are wild animals in there; on one hike we saw a cougar. Love to take the dogs there.

Must do!! One of my fav hikes in Chattanooga, beautiful sights and challenging routes. Also connects to waterfall and other trails for longer hike.

Nice easy hike!

Was a nice hike to the falls, recommend going in to the right at entrance so you end at the falls. Took climbers access 2 and ended with 2.5 miles total

Shaded trail, nice water views and overlooks. Tons of wildlife, deer, squirrel, snakes (good kind) and fish on the banks. I really enjoyed this hike. There was some recent storm damage with fallen trees on the trail but no show stopping events. New dry bridge being built through the wettest area. Very nice!

Good nice hike. Parts of trail are almost covered and some trees have fallen but still nice along the stream. Perfect for a early summer morning walk.

There is a great pool at the falls near the bridge.

Love this little trail! We only had a little time before heading to Nashville and this was the perfect hike. Very interesting with small waterfalls and pools of water (a lot of rain lately).

Amazing trails. There's something for every skill level and it's all very well-maintained. Christmas Top is a quad destroyer, if you enjoy torture.

AVOID “W ROAD!” There are WARNING signs with length of vehicle limitations, but it’s no joke and there’s stone barriers that you will very easily jack your car up on if it’s too long or doesn’t turn crazy easily.

Perfect short trail. Once you hit the water there are some “sliding rocks” that would be cool for little kids. Definitely wouldn’t let kids on the rocks by the edge though. I got about 2-3ft from the edge and that was good enough for me with the baby carrier. Would love to come back and adventure my way to the bottom without a baby. The parking is 3-4 cars only and in a nice area of homes. NO STREET PARKING. I was the only car at 5:30pm on a Sunday. Would like to come back again.

Perfect trail for kids! Only was 1mi to the falls AND BACK though. Two small swimming hole areas. TONS of poison ivy on sides of the trail.

Fun little hike and easy to do with smaller children. Hike to the base of the waterfall is short and the swimming hole is a lot of fun. We did the loop on the way out and was moderate in a couple of spots and was maybe 1.5 miles or so. We had 4 kids (13, 13, 10 & 10), and they did just fine. Fun little rock formations to play on.

One of my favorites! Generally flat with some roots/rocks but to where you can actually look up and enjoy the run. Great Lake views, shaded trail along water, lots and lots of deer, birds, squirrels. Few hills to get your heart rate up but still easy.

Hiked this trail 7/28/18 Signal Park has short walk down to awesome overlook. The trail from there to swinging bridge at Rainbow Lake had some trees down, but pretty easy to go under, over, or around. Rocky trail also. The trail from swinging bridge only had one small tree down. Overlooks are nice. First big overlook is not Edwards point, its maybe 50 yards past that one. Beautiful views.

Nice wide trail. Waterfall trickles into several small pools for the kids to play in

Love ESNP - today we did Hawks Ridge and Dogwood- when done together it's a 4 mile loop trail. Highly recommend ESNP to anyone, since there is a trail for everyone! Full trail review + pics coming to our blog soon at www.Wander-Full-Life.com

Nice trail, but water is a trickle this time of year.

Have been hiking here several times and really enjoyed it!

My husband and I took our kids (10 & 6) on this loop. We loved it! The only problem was that we missed the memo that we were supposed to turn on climber’s access #1 to make the turn back, and instead added an extra mile to our loop by turning onto climber’s access #2. Be ready for rocky, climby fun with some gorgeous sights!

I've hiked this Trail many times. It's beautiful and offers a bit of a challenge but not too strenuous. From the Ohio Avenue parking lot to the Edwards Point Lookout is 2 miles exactly on my GPS. Not sure why it says 8.4 miles on the alltrails app. But overall it's one of my favorite trails to hike.

Beautiful forest setting!

This map actually begins at the Rainbow Lake Wilderness Trail head on Ohio Avenue. Edwards Point is 2.1 miles from here and is located on the map at the point or where the trail turns sharply up. Not exactly sure where this trail map ends, but heads towards Mushroom Rock (5 miles from Rainbow trailhead) and Suck Creek Rd., Trail head (8.4 Miles from Rainbow trailhead). Starting at Signal Point would add a little over a mile to the hikes.

Went for a Sunday evening dog walk/hike. Quiet area, beautiful bird songs, only passed two other people on the trail. Several hours after a rain and the mud wasn’t bad. The puddly areas were raised on planks. Two places where trees were downed were tricky to get through but otherwise enjoyable. The pup got totally muddy but loved it. The pine straw covered much of the trail so it was navigable in just Chacos. It also looked recently cut back in large parts so brush was in check.
The mosquitoes were vicious though! Definitely wear long sleeves!

Great Cumberland escarpment views into the Chattanooga valleys below. Wish there were an easier way to view the bottom of the falls.

Nice, easy trail with nice views of the lake. Especially fun trail run after a good rain!

This hike will always be one of my favorites. It’s not strenuous and it’s easy to make it a short or longer hike. The rocks are perfect for relaxing in the shade or having a little picnic.
