HikingNo shade

I did it clockwise. The 1st mile was steep. And afterwards, it went downhills for the remaining. On the peak, we look out to the ocean. The flag is gone. If you are looking for an intensive cardio training, this is too short for uphills. It’s like 30 minutes stairmaster

One of the most beautiful trails near Malibu, with sweeping views of the Channel Islands on a clear day. Beware of rattlesnakes on the trail and bring plenty of water as the incline is intense with no shade.

HikingGreat!

Love love love. Canopied trails and flowers to desert landscapes Hiked along a stream to the waterfall. Then we decided to find waterfalls 2 and 3. Bouldering and rock hopping along the stream to find a cave with another falls. Our 6 mile hike turned to almost 10 Arrived just before 9am on Saturday. The little lot was full but easy parking along the road.

Pls read what I think. imagine a level BTW 1-10. this trail is level 8 really hard for to do. you will walking 3h (5.5 miles) or more for see the waterfall. you'll walking going up the mountains (like 30°), a lot rocks, the trail is really hard, seriously. Pls, don't go with your DOG. Will be really hard with then. listen: Don't go with your dog. when you decide back to your car... omg remember of the mountain? you will suffer, your feets will hurt you, your back will hurt u.

Hiking

There were a lot of rocks. I was glad I had my polls. Pretty technical coming up and down in some spots but the views were beautiful and the different terrain was awesome to see. Our miles were a little longer because of the steep uphill’s and the rocks.

HikingGreat!

I actually hiked over 10 miles on my last visit all the way to the big waterfall and swimming hole. The hike starts off with a nice warm up, it was a gradual build up to the hill trail. The hill trail was fair steep in certain area, but overall pretty manageable. The hard part starts after coming down the other side of the hill. You need essential walk straight across from the end of the hill trail to a small clearing and go left on the dirt trail for a while. You’re going to be climbing boulders soon. This is the type hike you ask “am I almost there?” And no, you’re not. You at least have a few more miles to go. I think the hike went from moderate to difficult if you choose to go all the way to the big waterfall. So Much bouldering and climbing over boulders and rocks. It can get dangerous. I slipped a couple of times and was cut up badly. So careful when climbing near loose rock!

it's very beautiful, you'll spend about 50/50 in shade and in the sun. towards the end it does get into a heavy incline. bug repellent highly advised as well as sun screen. over all it's a beautiful trail.

Beautiful! Went on a Saturday no busy at all .The waterfall is probably 6 miles away from the parking! Not easy to find , no indication on where the waterfall is from the map . Also absolutely no cell reception!

The snakes are definitely out and about. If you’re on the one way path, watch your feet!

Nature tripsGreat!No shadeRocky

If there was a level below beginner hiker that would definitely be me! I was still able to complete the hike with a lot of rest in between the steep inclines..the view was definitely worth it. By the time I was halfway down it was getting dark which was kind of scary because there is a lot of loose gravel. Now I know to always pack a flashlight or headlamp just in case.
