Love this trail! Peaceful place to enjoy nature and the doggos love it too. Beautiful brook for them to take a dip. You could take another trail each time you come and never get bored. So glad I used the AllTrails app to track my hike or I surely would have become lost!

Nice short hike. A little buggy but with bug spray it was no problem. Steeper at times than you would think for a “Easy”. But worth it- pretty views of the mountains, Saranac Lake and the town.

Tougher than I was expecting as it is a steady incline nearly the entire way. The view is absolutely worth the climb and the fire tower is incredible from the top. 2hrs roundtrip.

Very pleasant year around loop trail. Variety of habitats, mostly mature forest and open fields replicating 1700’s conditions with a few wetlands and stream crossings. Trail well maintained and marked.

super convenient from where we are staying (beech hill). a nice, quick, relatively easy hike with some nice views from the top. the scramble up the steep side is difficult as advertised (there’s a rope to help you get up the steepest section) - but totally do-able for most.

Did this last year with my 4 year old son - definitely more moderate because of rock scrambling, although short - we needed more bug spray as the way down follows a stream!

completed with my 5 and 6 year old — lovely. We did the loop with the short scramble up and took the longer Echo Lake way down. Make sure to call out near the lake to experience the amazing echoes.

Last of the Saranac 6 complete! Saved it for last because we figured it would be easiest. After doing 3 others over the past day the hike was a little more than I expected. The trail on the right as you go up is pretty steep. Some nice views at the top - ran down the other trail on the way back down to see it was much more gradual.

nice little Trail not too bad bringing a baby stroller with you if you need to!

Not a fan. Most of this is trail is on pavement around a lake that has algae warnings. Mosquitos were terrible even with deet.

Nice hike but a bit crowded on a Saturday! Views were nice in 2 directions.

My husband and I did this hike after dinner in hopes of a good sunset view - we were not disappointed! The trail was well marked and we made it to the top in about twenty minutes, spent ten or so at the top gazing at the view, and fifteen to get down. The two hour estimate on the sign board is a little long for anyone in decent shape. The views from the top are absolutely gorgeous!

Nice, short hike that became steep at times but fun with beautiful views of Schroon Lake.

Moderate is a better description of this hike. Fine views but pretty grown in. Already starting to get crowded by 9. 1 of 6!

This hike is definitely not easy. It is moderate for sure.

This was a difficult hike mostly up steep terrain. Coming down is slippery -bring walking sticks. I would call this more than moderate difficulty.

I hiked this today and after all the rain we had this week it was MUDDY. I slipped on a few spots, mostly on the way down so you definitely have to watch your footing. View of the lake from the top is amazing and on the loop back down the other side there are views all along the way. Took me longer than I anticipated but mostly because of the mud and having to place my feet carefully. Overall a good hike, neat to see a wind turbine at the top!

BUG SPRAY IS A MUST. OVER 30 BITES BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE

For sure one of the more difficult hikes we have been on. It was a challenging hike but very rewarding and beautiful at the summit. Prepare to get your heart rate up. Great for older kids...not for younger ones....and our King Charles loved the hike....recommend for all but bear in mind...this is no cake walk!

We took the right fork and the trail was steep. The view at the top was nice for short hike. There were cool wild life like frogs, quails and unfortunately mosquitoes.

Amazing view at the top. The steep side is just that...steep. Our family hiked this with our dogs. Beautiful sights...lots of wildlife. Saw lots of frogs, amazing rock formations and some deer. If not up for a challenge, take the left trail up.

Great hike! Some areas were challenging but overall a fun heat pumping hike! The views from the summit were outstanding! Very dog friendly as well!

My first mountain, think I’m hooked. Great hike, no bugs today, incredibly views towards saranac/flower lakes. Easy bike ride from town to trailhead, had a great hike.

Beautiful views of Schroon Lake from the top.

The description of the trail is wrong. Just a minute or two after crossing the brook, turn left onto the "Memorial Trail," which has three viewpoints as it works its way clockwise. After the third vista, turn LEFT onto the Mica Mine Road connector, then just a short ways down the road bear right onto the Observation Hill Rd. You don't have to go to the end of that road, either, as 20min or so down there's a clearly marked Conservation Corps trail on the right that connects to the Falls Rd. through the woods...much more pleasant for hikers.

I haven't found this trail interesting. Too crowdy. There are no good views. The trail is covered.

Good hike, peaceful. Trail is very well beaten down and well marked. once you get to the first lookout to the right continue up to another outlook on the right. If you look hard enough above this 2nd lookout there are some deer path trails that lead you out to the other side of the summit with a small outlook. A lot of mosquitoes, so bring plenty of bug spray!

Spent over 50 summers on Loon Lake, but didn't climb on Kipp until this week. This is a short scamper up to the ledge above the cliffs that grace Kipp's southwestern face. A beautiful view of Loon Lake awaits those who hike up. Suitable for all ages, the hike is wooded and well-marked. Part of the Chester Challenge.

Hadley was a lot steeper than I was led to believe. The view at the top was worth it though! My Fitbit tracked it to be more than 4 miles, not the 3.4 listed above.

Awesome hike, Decent incline- Worth the views. check out the back side once at top, awesome views!
