First trail after knee surgery and a heart attack. I made it up to the Chimney Point.

Not as great as we were expecting. The trail is more of a short walk than a true hike. Very crowded and heavily trafficked.

Fantastic trail. lots of great views and good campsites. Pretty tough though, and the trail isn't always the most well kept. A challenge, but a welcome one.

A favorite! A natural slip and slide. Pack a lunch and extra clothes for splashing around in the summer and stay a while.

Beautiful views, but lots of tourists. Easy walk to each site.

Amazing view of the falls, but the trail is a bit strenuous for people that are new to hiking or out of shape. Make sure you're ready for it!

This trail is a must to get up close and personal with the falls! Trail is steep with roots and rocks but people (and dogs) of all ages were making the hikes. Starts to the left of the visitors center, off of the blue ridge parkway.

Short and sweet but very beautiful.

Not difficult, but still a great workout and spectacular views

Wonderful hike, would recommend! There is no bridge and it’s not a good place to cross!

Never made it to Wisemans View Rd. If you don't have four wheel drive I wouldn't try it. Got about halfway and hit a uphill spot with loose sand and gravel. My vehicle decided it was not going to make it up that hill. Had to back into a camping spot to turn around. Saw quite a few suvs and a jeep that had also turned around.

Awesome view of the gorge.

One of the most interesting trails in the gorge area. Fantastic views and not nearly as crowded as table rock and hawksbill

Don’t miss the climb up the Babel towel rock, about 1/3 of the way down. Spectacular views, especially in the fall.

Loved it!! Took about an hour round trip including a lot of time spent at the four different overlooks. Amazing views of Linville Falls, Linville Gorge, and the chimneys. The trail is very easy and clear, would definitely do again!!! It’s actually 0.9 miles one way, so almost 2 miles total.

Amazing views

It’s worth it remember to see both sides of the falls! Then head to the North Carolina rock museum place up st Kings overland !!!! Learn about the geology of Linville!

The hike gives you lots of amazing views! Will definitely do this hike again when the fall colors are at peak

Rated hard, but very easy and a great view!

Love this Trail. It’s not strenuous or long but requires your focus for footing as you will trek over many rocks.

Went early on a Sunday morning, enjoyed the peace and quiet of the fairly short hike to the upper falls where I watched the sunrise. Hell of a way to start the day!

Pretty tough trail, but definitely worth it! Lots of gorgeous overlooks on the way up if you need to stop and catch your breath.

One of the better views in the Carolinas!! Pretty steep incline for the first part of the hike. Very rewarding hike!

Short and sweet with several beautiful falls down gorge.

This place is awesome! Best view!!! You can hike all along the gorge and catch overlooks every 1/4 mile or so. No cost to get in and lightly trafficked. Road to get there is a little rough so don’t bring a little compact car like we did the first time.

Easy of hike as it gets!

I did this trail on Labor Day, which the Park itself was super busy. This particular trail wasn’t busy at all. The hike was challenging but enjoyable. The waterfall never disappoints. Some areas are more congested than others but the trail is wide enough to pass people. The roughest portions of the trail is at the beginning so keep pushing through and it’s all down hill after that.

Great trip! Lots of beautiful scenery without being overly strenuous. Excellent for taking pics and for getting so exercise. My friend and I both have some injuries but were able to complete this hike without any problems. It's only an hour from my house, so I will definitely be doing it again!!

If you do the full loop you must cross the river twice and you will get wet. Lots of tree roots but a nice hike with great views of falls. I have dogs that enjoy the water and there were a couple of places for them to get in.
