Linda's Washington Completed Hikes Map

Peaceful walk and only steep for a short while, and a great view of Seattle.

on Skyline Trail

My wife and I drove from Olympic NP in the morning (after spending the week there) to do this hike before catching the red eye out of SEA and we are so glad we did. Amazing scenery with lots of wildlife (we counted 17 marmots) and wildflowers (past peak but there we still some stragglers). Since it was later in the afternoon it was actually pretty quiet and secluded once you got away from the crowds at the visitor center. One of our favorite hikes of the week.

Added on after hiking Mt Storm King and it was a pretty lackluster waterfall compared to others in the area. Trail was crowded due to being an easier hike.

Beautiful and easy family hike. Make sure you check the stomp house!

Beautiful area surrounded by snowy peaks. Great location for photos.

This was a beautiful trail. I went with a large group of CrossFit folks. The ones leading were pretty competitive, so the pace wasn’t great. I’ll set the pace next time and try it clockwise for something different. Also doing it in October, you miss the beautiful wildflowers.

Well maintained easy trail with some steep steps nearing the top of the waterfall, signs say no dogs allowed but the ranger seemed happy to look the other way when we walked by with our dog on leash.

the trails are nice And long you can hike here for hours and feel as if you are miles away from everyone

great easy hike.

Hiked the trail today and it was an absolutely beautiful day. Trail was in great condition and was a nice moderate level. Would highly recommend.

Hike with fantastic and unbeatable views - Rainer, to the south (Cascades, Adams), waterfalls. Didn’t the hike in 2.5 hours, with a bit of time spent on photos. Went through 0.5L of water. Plan on 1L at least. Very doable in a short period of time. Colors are past peak, but still quite nice. Only about 10 cars at Paradise when I arrived at 9am (Monday)

Easy trail to access. It’s also very well maintained!

definitely have a map! more than just a photo at the entrance, easy to get lost.

Amazing place!!!

amazing views and the falls are awesome!!!

Great for running

I was not in shape to do this hike, but I'm glad I did. Spectacular views of Mt. St. Helens!

great hike!!! loved it.
get there early there is very limited parking at the trail head.

This being the first leg of our 4 day journey, starting October 12th and ending on October 15th.
The trail was smooth travel on a well maintained path. There was a fork a few miles in, but someone was kind enough to place branches across the wrong path. we could not find a sign for 5 mile camp, but saw many possible campsites.

This was a beautiful hike but definitely difficult. If you’re not a frequent exerciser in great shape, I’d say try something else. The incline was pretty intense with not a lot of flat area breaks. Not sure I’d say the view at the top was worth it but it was nice to look at.

beautiful surprise great for weddings

As of 10/10/18 the road is open. Trail is in great shape. Wonderful fall hike.

Loved this hike! If you go clockwise, you’ll start with a pretty brutal climb that pays in beautiful Rainier views early on. Lots of stairs and rocky ground after the pavement is done so recommend good boots.

Lower Skyline across the snow field has a VERY steep decline. We made it across but wished we’d had ice cleats or something as we slid on the hill a bunch.

Last mile has fall colors to die for and waterfalls galore! If you’re not up for the full loop, recommend going counterclockwise to see the colors!

One of the best! Start getting into the snow near the top of comet falls, before Van Trump trail.

It’s very beautiful trail!

Absolutely gorgeous. Take the side trail to Myrtle Falls, and be sure to download directions for offline use ahead of time. No service, and the park is huge and easy to get turned around in.

Beautiful, well-maintained park. Make sure to take a map, there are lots of trails to follow.

Huge place, tons of trails perfect for biking & hiking. Do yourself a favor and study map or you will get lost!
