Beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful! The walk was wonderful and doing it counterclockwise meant we saved the best canyons views for last.

Perfect hike for finding swimming holes!

Closed because of a forest fire

Did this with my 8-year old granddaughter and son and we all had lots of fun!!

Did this one by myself on a sunny Sunday afternoon. It was a great haunt to end my Sunday!

Easy trail for kids. Neat little covered bridge along the way!

Loved this hike. Our gps said 6.9 miles. Pretty easy but enough to keep it interesting and keep you puffing a little if you move at a good pace. Loved the shaded forest, pretty bridges and views. Then the top is gorgeous! We swam in the lake after lunch and had a blast. Loved it! Highly recommend for beginners.

It’s a nice lake to end up at, but compared to Mt Ellinor and Staircase, it’s not quite as scenic. the actual hiking seemed like a B-level of mt ellinor which has much better views.

Nice hike with a good view at the end. Good view of Seattle on a clear day.

nice hike, go early in the morning, parking is limited on the weekend's.

This was closer to 8 miles by the time we got back to our car. Moderate (& maybe easy) for experienced hikers or fit folks. but for this chubby hiker, it was hard. It took 3 hours up, and 1 hr 45 mins down. Lots of small breaks. i would do it again after more experience. Some confusion toward the end of the trail, and we ended up off trail (i think its the old trail) down to the lake. Lots of horse flies down by the water. Very trafficked trail, & lots of dogs. Most were leashed, but not all. Narrow trail, up hill (switch backs) almost completely to the lake. Don't forget to purchase a parking pass (at trail head.) The Washington state parks pass doesnt work.

Nice trail around the lake with just a couple short, challenging inclines. Lake itself is warm and clear. Steep grade down to the water. Saw some other people who had brought floaties and coolers to make a day of it. Great idea.

Did this hike today with my 4 yr old and 6 month old. My 4yr old walked almost the whole thing. Fun to swim at the end. Millions of tiny crabs. There where a few people on the trail down. We hike the trail down and took the road back to make it a loop.

Nice hike. Make sure if you are going clockwise that you take the time to walk out to view the river when there are lookouts. If you wait to get to the bridge you'll miss the rapids!

nice little walk...totally great way to start the day.

It was easy hike. Love the river. Will definitely go back.

July 12, 2018. Beautiful morning. Cool on hike up all in lovely forest but very warm hiking down from Lower Lena Lake. No bugs!! Moderate difficulty for senior hikers 75+

Excellent trail for the whole family. The river is the star of this show.

Beautiful huge trees and turquoise water...

Such a beautiful trail!!! Would love to go back someday.

I will definitely do this hike again! Wooded the whole way without views until you get to the lake. The view there is amazing! Great hike.

This is a really nice trail. Some elevation climb at the beginning. I needed to take a couple short breaks to catch my breath, but there are benches along the path to sit on. Trail is well kept. You do need a state park pass for entry, and parking can be a bit busy during camping season. There is a campsite nearby. Took my dog and she liked it too!

Nice trail. Saw one post that it was not well marked, but only found that to be true near the top where trail changed names. Rated a 4 b/c we ran into dirt bikers on trial, not real the reason I hike.

Very easy trail and good start into the hiking season. Bring good bug spray because horseflies, bees and nats are present plenty. Lots of shade with spots to veer off and get close to the river. Pretty views and beautiful waterfalls.

Easy hike along a turquoise blue river through a quiet forest.
