Very clear and well kept trail. Incredible views from the top!

Watch out for the stinging nettles in summer. They got very dense under two miles when hiking west to east.

Wolf rocks is a great place for a 2-3 hour loop trail hike and looking for a great view at the end of it! It’s perfect for a mild to moderate hike. Just be prepared to climb around on the large rocks at the end. Wear good footwear and be sure to have good footing! Nothing to catch you if you fall!

what a great ride up to ebensburg. make sure that you take a photo at the end of the trail.... it's a really good ride

This is a great trail. It is maintained extremely well. Vintondale to Nanty Glo is a challenge, but all tje other sections are great. I would recommend anyone on this trail.

10/10 trail run. 100% runnable. Rooty and craggy, be careful. Fell 1x and tripped 6x. Beautiful fern forest, diverse and well marked / cleared trail. Top views and rocks at the end. Be careful timber rattlers here at the rocks overlook please check your surroundings before taking in the views. If you choose to scramble on the rocks check hand and foot placements carefully. 4.4 miles minimal elevation change. Perfect perfect perfect.

We make this hike yearly to picnic on the rocks. Gorgeous hike.

Great hike. Took about two hours at moderate pace. Make sure you have some water and hiking shoes preferable but sneakers are ok. Take a left at the loop to do more difficult section first. View worth the trip!

Beautiful day. Towards the end lots of clear cutting which made the trail rough. No real views but a great workout.

Out of all the trails in Garrett County, this is my favorite. The numerous creek crossings, although a surprise, added to the adventure.

Nice trail, well marked. Unexpected many creek crossings.

Nice easy hike after the initial rocky start. Better view and spirit than Beam Rocks.

Nice, mostly flat hike to a fantastic overlook. Roads to the trailhead parking lot are rough. I entered the GPS coordinates for the trailhead into my car's GPS, and it ended up taking me down a series of gravel roads until the road became someone's private driveway. I had to turn around and try a different direction until I was rerouted onto Laurel Summit Rd.

Fantastic in and out hike. This is my go to option when I have a few hours on a weekend or something. The view from the rocks is beautiful year round and the actual hike is very doable. Long stretches of laurel and rhododendron tunnels. Long stretches of ferns which look beautiful in the fall when they change to yellow. Grab a book and head out for a few hours on the rocks, but be careful for rattler snakes in the colder months, they sun themselves on the rocks!

Awsome view

Great trail! The loop is pretty rocky however, so be prepared to watch where your feet are falling, but the trail portion is well groomed and significantly less full of rocks, and the view at the overlook portion is absolutely fantastic, maybe one of the best overlooks in West PA and it blows away Beams Rocks for sure!

Great hike - went with kids (6 and 8 yr old) and they did great. If you are going with kids, recommend you go counter clock-wise (keep on wolf rocks trails and on the way back come thru wolf rocks loop). If you start out on wolf rocks loop, its a climb and would be difficult with younger kids.
Also while at Wolf Rocks keep an eye out for rattle snakes! You are in the wild and be alert!

I did this trail over the weekend it was very well marked, and easy to follow the loop. The trail itself is rocky in parts, but its nothing to rough at all mostly its a nice wide trail easy for anyone to hike. When you get to Wolf Rocks the view is nice and there are rocks you can climb on if you want to get a better vantage point. I would hike this again it was easy, fun, and worth the view.

Trail needs some TLC. It was very overgrown. If it weren't for that, I would have loved it. I'll probably try it again, but maybe in the fall.

This trail is a great and easy walking path, a nice way to get out and get some fresh air and easily enjoyable for the whole family....Do get directions for parking off the ghost town trail website instead of using the directions button on this page it does not take you to it but other than that a really nice trail.

Only did the Wolf Rocks Trail (not the connectors to Beam Rocks).
It's a great loop just over 4 miles and the overlook at the end is rewarding (and great spot to stop for lunch!). Took a little under 2 hours for the entire trail at a moderate pace. Very flat, and especially on the loop side there's quite a bit of rocks, but they make for an interesting terrain. I'd like to see it in the summer when everything is growing - looks like it would be beautiful! Hiked both on a frigid below zero day, and an unseasonably warm January day - both enjoyable.
If you're parked at the trailhead, be sure to take a quick walk to the bog as well while you're there (past the picnic area).
