pretty enjoyable trail. Couple mostly easy beside the downhill at the back of that trail. I had a wheel up a time or two. You'll want a spotter and or armor underneath

+great view at the top
+pleasant trail
+saw a huge moose

-only one challenging spot at the beginning

-app is not accurate for trailhead, I had to ask locals. you'll come to a 3 way stop in an opening near the end of where the app wants you to go. the app wants you to go left, but go right. roughly a quarter mile down the road you'll see a house on the left side of the road with a red(if I recall correctly) door and a hard left turn by the house, take the left. I wrote these directions from memory from 2 months ago, but I'm pretty confident that's right.

Nice hike with a ton of side trails to explore if wanted.

The trailhead is on private property and completely blocked off. The road up is an easy off-road trail. That’s what we recorded. Super bummed.

The trail road to Camp Dick was a little hard to find coming from Lyons. Saw a large sign that said Camp Dick and thought to turn there, but there was a closed gate. The road is just a little further South on Hwy 72. The road is a one vehicle paved road, so be prepared to move over onto the side to allow other vehicles to pass. There were a lot of 4 WHL vehicles going up the trail and the hiking trail was hard to find. No maps or markers. Found a trail to the right of 4x4 road and followed it to the bridge, then a clear trail way to follow, but no markers. Overall a very easy trail to hike and going in has a light incline with lots of rocks and muddy areas, but shaded and pretty quiet. The waterfall isn't much to see since your up high on mountainside, but cool too listen too. Finished the trail and came back, easy hike down. My only complaint is there were several dog poop bags left on the side of trail! Come on Boulder, what's up with this? Also, dogs are supposed to be on leash and 95% weren't and spooked us and our puppy! They were good dogs though and not aggressive, so I guess that's ok. Overall, an easy hike and saw some young children, enjoyed the shade and secluded lunch by the river with my boyfriend and dog.

it was fun until the road got to steep. I tried to do this in a can am 850 outlander but didn't make it to the end. ended up rolling the atv. it was still fun.

Really enjoyed this bypass during a busy day in RMNP. Views were great and the SUV cross-over rental car did great! Stopped a lot to view the area; the waterfall was a great stop for pictures. Many places to pull over to help traffic flow.

Great road to drive. If you are nervous just take it easy and pull out if you have a huge line behind you. Good for beginners. The steep parts are a bit tricky, but just trust you will get up. Dont gun it. Slow and steady. Only a few spots where I was thankful for a bit more clearances than a sedan. Have fun!

Pretty fun trail! Decided to take the truck up for her maiden off road trip, and she did great. The trail itself is more advanced than I had anticipated. I've been up the Mount Antero trail many times in other trucks, rated as "Moderate" like this one. This trail is far more advanced than the Antero trail. Scraped the skid plates and running boards a couple of times on this one. Awesome trail with amazing views though! Going again tomorrow with the family!

Great hike overall! But do not go on the part of the trail marked 247D. This part of the trail is completely overgrown and very hard to find a path past all the fallen trees and tall grass. Everything else was a great challenge with a few beautiful vantage points (although not at the highest point in elevation, as you’d expect).

It is my favorite of the few trails I've gone through. The area is beautiful and the trail is the perfect difficulty.

I did find the steep hill at the southwest edge and nearly tipped over. I don't suggest trying that hill unless you have a buggy or just bat crap crazy.

I didn't find 247D, which I think may be blocked for motorized vehicles. Also the road is gated at the entrance of Panoramic Peak.

Beautiful and easy. Lots of options and although there are lots of people easy to move around each other.

beautiful!

It was a bit more rugged than I had anticipated, but my bone stock JK made it through with flying carpets. Choosing the right line is integral, would definitely run this one again!

A must do, but patience is needed. We did a lot of stopping along the way to explore and enjoy the incredible views. Rained a bit while we were on this trail, but it just made things more beautiful. We saw a herd of elk about a mile before the rangers station. Incredible day!

WOW. This is definitely one of my favorite hikes and I will hope to be doing this one again before the snow flies. Loads of wildflowers and several water crossings. The trail follows the river, so there you get to enjoy the sound of rushing water the entire way. My 7 and 10 year old hiked 6 miles no problem. Lovely family friendly hike. Lots of dogs. Please keep them on a leash as we had a few encounters with some overly friendly dogs.

Pay the $7.00 to use the toilets at the campground. It is worth it and clean! Best kept vault bathrooms I've seen!

I posted pics with turn directions, to find this Trail is a bit confusing. If they don’t post under this Trail, look at my profile and click “photos”

Beautiful hike to the water falls. Walked through fields of cows, wildflowers and butterflies.

We loved this drive, even with light rain and clouds today. It had totally different views then Trailridge Rd. as you are on the other side of the range and not nearly as crowded. Water falls right off the road, beautiful flowers, and the views everywhere you looked were breathtaking. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to get to the visitor center because we stopped at so many of the turn offs to take pictures. It is narrow and so happy it was a one way only road.

Great drive with some awesome views. Would consider this an easy road for off-road driving. You do drive through private property to get to the trail so mind your speed, so not stop and be courteous if you encounter any land owners. All gates were open when I drove the entire length of the trail 08/04/18.

Fun trail. Was a little tuff at the beginning but also challenging and not to hard. Had 33’s with a 4” lift in my 2001 Jeep wrangle. Took that trail like a champ.

Fun trail. Very green this time of year.
The ascent right at the beginning is fun but the crystal mountain trail was gated off.
The closure signs looked fairly new.

Beautiful easy trail! Got there about 11:30 on a Sunday and the trail wasn't too crowded. Very shady and cool for a summer day!

Just pay attention to the trails!! We ended up doing just over 9 miles. Beautiful hike!

Great trail. Nothing serious for a side by side but a great, relaxing day.

This was our first moderate trail on our vacation, and it was beautiful! Many elevation changes, and lots of great views. We didn't make it to the Falls, due to the lightning of the fast moving thunderstorm that we got caught up in. No worries though! We were dry by the time we got back to the parking lot, lol. It was nice talking with the volunteer rangers on the way out as well. All hikers and dogs were very friendly. Not much traffic on a Saturday. Can't wait to come back and attempt the whole thing! Loved it.
