Beautiful hike. Accessible for our 6 and 4 y.o. boys. Our only regret was that the pond is not accessible from the trail.

Car got broken into at the trailhead camping for one night. Good one night backpacking trip but not worth it if your car is gonna get broken into.

Great walk/run/jog/bike ride...a few spots with elevation but doable for all people. out of shape or not

absolutely gorgeous! very peaceful. heads up that people break into cars here... we saw evidence of that today. :(

We went in the fall. It was a very pretty trail, and we didn’t really see any other people

my favorite

Great hike through the trees! Perfect family hike.

Just went on this hike today and it was easy and beautiful. We had a big surprise at the end when we saw 3 big turtles resting on a log in the lake. They then dove into the water. It was such a blessing to see.

Nice fairly easy hike with few people.

Quick and easy hike. I think it took me about half an hour to do the loop and that was with stopping to take pictures. Most of the elevation is at the very beginning of the hike. Nice and quiet during the morning.

pretty good incline for first 1.5 miles. beautiful overlook and pretty lakes to walk around.

This is an incredibly pleasant evening walk through a great example of the Pacific Northwest Rain Forest. Well shaded with enough easy terrain and ponds to keep it interesting.

Always a great hike because it’s easily accessible and scenic. On a hot day the forest canopy offers abundant shade, making for cool hiking.

Good hike, but concerned for the safety of my car. Saw remnants of broken windshield glass in the parking lot.. too bad we have to worry about creeps

Enjoyable walk around Lake Padden, 2.7 miles around..More of a woodland trail then a city trail. The Lake and surrounding views are nice.

Enjoyed hiking through this preserve today. Well maintained, open parking area with bathroom facilities. Great for all skill levels. Some signage, around the loop, follow arrows painted to stay on the right trail.

Cars are being broken into every day now at this trail head. Hiked it yesterday came down to find a brick was thrown thru my window. I hike/run this trail 3 days a week and now question its parking lot safety.
So if you plan to hike this trail you should plan on spending $500 for your insurance deductable.
Not sure why this parking lot is not being monitored by the authorities as it is truly a place for the thieves. Thinking it is time to Take Back our Whatcom County Trailheads from criminals...any ideas?

Pretty little Lake loop

I love this trail and have hiked it in all seasons! It can showcase any weather! In the rain the moss hangs heavy and intensely green! In snow, it’s a wonderland, and in spring it’s perfect to begin your hiking season with its gentle ups and downs! In summer, it will keep you cool even in intense heat!

Good easy walk. Has a nice off leash trail at the south end of the main trail and do park.

During the hike it was a bit snowy and slippery but beautiful. Would do it again.

Took the mtn bikes up here to raptor ridge on a beautiful Feb Saturday. A fair amount of hike a bike the first 1.7 miles as pretty steep and another patch towards the viewpoint up a rock staircase. Otherwise very ridable and a great thigh and lung burner. Probably better as hike or trail run.

Nice hike in gorgeous January warm weather....lakes were awesome in the morning dew with sun shining through.

Great hike and camping

This is a great little trail if you're looking for something closer to Bellingham. The first mile and a half is pretty steep but don't give up! Once you make it up the incline it's a pretty straight shot to the lakes. The camping is nice but no fires are allowed.

Beautiful sites and fairly hard to get lost. Great for everyone!

Super easy, good for a quick run! Took my 12 week old puppy up with no problem!
