What a fantastic walk! Great views on a brilliant sunny day. Not one for icy weather.
Amazing, it’s hard tho not for the faint hearted one of my favourite climbs yet
First one back from Covid - 19. Just got out to get some air back in the lungs and see how I got on. Pleased to where I got and was good for the lungs.
Unreal! Heavy snow further we got up but made the walk even more better than what it is!! Weather at the top -12 , back down no tracks due to snow came down routed on here 10/10 day
Very rocky limited features on the hike except the streams, light hiking footwear with shank and ankle support needed. Steep ascending beautiful views on the top very precarious coming down in winter as of the smooth rocks suggested getting down way before sun sets.... Think I will stick to rambling for comfort and views
Good hard climb with plenty of state bitsThe weather today was quite good
Perfect conditions all the way up. Until the last push. The. Was in a cloud. But very enjoyable
Nice easy track the whole way up. We had truly abysmal weather and almost no visibility at points but the route is well maintained and passable even with water streaming down the path. Descent is markedly quicker than ascent. Hiking poles or a good stick are advantageous in crossing the river about half an hour in, which was high with rainwater and a bit tricky. Thoroughly worthwhile trek.
Storm Barbara didn’t help conditions and made it slippy coming down the path but still great to out on Scarfell Pike
Hard! But really enjoyed the challenge. Up on the summit for sun up at 7am which was thoroughly worth it.
The sun blasted us for the whole 4 hours. If it’s sunny, take a hat, sunglasses and plenty of water. This walk is difficult and technical in parts.
