LA Trails I've Done Map

Disclaimer: If this review makes no sense it's because there's no autosave on this apps. Had to rewrite it a few times.

I accidentally found this trail. I intended on going to the Rustic Canyon Trail but somehow after missing a turn, my GPS took me up a winding hill through a beautiful neighborhood in the Palisades.

Although I'd seen pictures of this particular trail and noticed that it was one of the closest ones to me I always went to others e.g. Escondido, Temescal, Solstice etc. to explore. This is an interesting trail with a history that I'm sure you'll read in other reviews. I don't want to give the wrong story about what it was built for. I heard 2 different stories of the history of this place.

I felt like Chicago Jones instead of Indiana as I walked through the ruins of the trail. There's a lot of graffiti on the path and although some of it is cool, I wasn't a fan of empty spray cans and paint on the natural surfaces e.g. trees, rocks and sides of cliffs. The juxtaposition of nature and man-made structures was cool in that in the future when people look back at a place like this they'll hear its origin story and see the graffiti (hieroglyphics) and be able to interpret the messages that people left.

The trail is cool and the only reason I didn't take the stairs is because I wanted to stay on the path to prevent from getting lost. Since I went solo and had no idea what was in store I figured for my safety and lack of cell phone service it was better to explore but stay on the trail. Next time I go I will try to enter from another entrance so that I can try the stairs and maybe see things that I may have missed.

All in all I would suggest this place as a moderately difficult trail. There's still a lot that I want to see so I'll be returning. There are some cool views of the ocean and with all of the buildings some cool photo opps. If you get a chance check it out.

Your body delivers a protein called Antiaging Serum Plus collagen that is principally made out of amino acids called peptides. As you age, creation levels drop, causing slight, wrinkled skin. At the point when utilized as a part of a serum, peptides animate repair and development. Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3 (trademark name: Matrixyl 3000) invigorates profound layers of skin. Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (trademark name: Argireline) has been appeared to create impacts like Botox without the infusion. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 is utilized as a part of serums to expand collagen creation as well as to help shield your skin from sun harm.Click Here https://healthsupplementzone.com/antiaging-serum-plus/

Too much litter- interesting history but no need to do this hike again.

I imagine it may be nicer during the week, but very crowded on a Sunday morning, even in early February. We picked up lots of trash (wrappers and empty chip bags) near the base of the waterfall :(

Dog friendly hike. Parking is a bit weird. If you’re coming from the Hollywood side and you’re in the residential area just park by a house. If you start going down a narrow street there’s no parking there and turning around is a beetch. Also a ton of construction happening right before you hit the trail the last time I went. A few of the structures are still up it’s nice to look at. Would be creepy af at night I would imagine some meth heads there or something but yea :) do it. Enjoy!

love this trail. extended to 5.8 miles.

Quick hike with my dog. Beautiful waterfall at the end of the trail but there is some scrambling and crossing of streams. Overall, I enjoyed this hike in the middle of the week starting at about 11am and at the end of February! Not too hot!

Great Trail. 100% protected. Felt pretty safe while on the Trail. Beautiful once it gets closer to the ocean.

See and be seen here. Best part about this trail is all the doggies running around free as a bird! Worst parts are that it is hardly challenging and parking is a pain in the booty. The more difficult side is a steep climb up to the top, but the trail down is almost double the distance which is not helpful when you want to burn more calories.

Can get very crowded. Get there early morning or late in the day to avoid the crowd.

Great hike, kid friendly, beautiful waterfall at the end.

I’ve never seen a trail so trashed and crowded in all of my hiking. Literally trash everywhere. Every other group we passed had music blaring from speakers attached to their backpacks. It would probably be a very pretty hike super early on a weekday morning... that’s the only way I’d ever give that trail a second chance.

This an 8.26 mike hike, not a 7 mike hike. It also gets confusing when you get to the zoo area because you have to cross the parking lot and the grassy lawn to get the the crosswalk in order to get to the other part of the hike, which is where most of the horses go. We loved the first part but once you follow the side of the road then behind the Autry, it get boring.

Great Hike!

Great hike - some challenging sections but amazing views of LA.

One time I saw a guy selling balloons along this trail.

Great workout on the difficult trail as well as the paved trail!!! Can’t wait to co back

Great home for beginners

This is honestly an extremely under rated gem at Griffith. You can take the long way or the somewhat intense steep “stair” path up to enter this bio dome-shaped garden teeming with beautiful colors and geometries of all the exotic flora that have made their residence there. On the borders of the meandering trails weaving through the garden, breathtaking views of the lush valleys, open sky, and the city views on the other had us at loss for words as we felt like the curious Alice who had just stepped thorough the looking glass.

Beautiful views, too many people.

easy and beautiful trail to take a beginner friend
