Excellent hike back in time!

It was absolutely beautiful! There’s quite a drop off at the beginning but super worth it to see the stream. My pups loved every bit of it!

Really glad I made the extra effort and went to the end. Snow was pretty deep and would fall through about every 5th step. Last 1/2 mile is steep also. Views on return actually rival the top in my opinion.

I took this trail for a quick midday hike on my lunch break. Was not disappointed. The frozen waterfall was beautiful and melting a bit. I got to see some nice sized chucks of ice break off during my stop. It was still pretty snow/slush packed so I’m glad I brought my boot chains and poles.

So pretty. The frozen waterfall was gorgeous! Wear spikes for sure.

Short but sweet hike, moderate uphill the majority of the way but worth it for the waterfall.

Great hike!
There is still water towards the bottom of Dang Canyon.

Hiked this on 23 Feb after 6" fresh snow. Crampons were a must. Frozen waterfall even prettier than expected.

The track was pretty well cut all the way to the waterfall this morning despite the recent storms. The snowshoes were definitely helpful but you could pull it off with spikes if you're just going to the falls. The waterfall was completely covered in snow and not the giant icicle I thought it would be. Still amazingly beautiful. Soaked it all in with a little breakfast at the top of the falls.

So beautiful in the snow!

This is a hidden gem! There’s a lot swing about a mile up the trail, and a couple decent waterfalls as well. The trail is definitely moderate, you get your blood pumping but nothing too hard.

Did this with my three year old. She loved the frozen waterfall. She thought it was Elsa's castle.

Great hike up the mountain. Gets a little icy and rocky toward the top, but the frozen waterfall was amazing!!

Spectacular views ever improving as you're always gaining altitude. I couldn't get to the Upper Falls because of heavy ice and snow, but the trek up to the Lower Falls was rewarding enough: beautiful scenery all the way through. Best thing about hiking up there in the winter: no crowds. Truly worth it!

The weather was perfect today, we hung around the reservoir for a while before heading up to the falls. It is so beautiful up there. The ice made for a difficult climb to the falls. We were forced to turn back about a half mile before the falls because the ice was too slick for my 5 year old to safely climb. we slipped and fell several times coming down, but overall it was awesome. We did this last year when my son was 4, and he made it to the top without any problems, so I wouldn't consider this as rated hard. It is a steady incline all the way up, but it's not bad.

Very little snow on the trail right now. Muddy in some spots. Fun little hike!

Great hike. the frozen waterfall was awesome.

great trail, but icy towards the end so need shoe spikes. when you are about 0.5 miles in the trail seems to disappear, you just need to continue over the jagged rocks and the trail picks back up. dog loved the trail.

I did this hike the first week in February. I was expecting it to be hiking on a snow packed trail. It was instead a lot of melted snow, so lots of puddles and slush. I had my hiking sticks and spikes or Crampons on my shoes. I was so extremely grateful that I had those. People who did not were sliding all all over a slippery steep trail. The trail starts at the base of little cottonwood canyon. It walks up switchbacks until it gets to the reservoir. After about a mile up past that is when I started to think the trail got very pretty. The cliffs on the left were very impressive. Then it got steep climbing up a steep trail with lots of boulders and lots of pines on both sides. I thought it was beautiful, but those who were not wearing spikes were dealing with a really scary section. After that section the falls are only a little further. Of course they were beautiful and the snow all around them made it super scenic. Would happily do it again. If I do it again I might bring waterproof boots and slide my spikes over top of them. I had super waterproof Salmon shoes and my feet still got wet because there was just so much water.

Snowshoed with the full moon. Wonderful night. So beautiful seeing the moon in the meadow before the lake.

So that hike is only good for if you want to go up a steep steep mile! The falls aren’t even falls! We were freakin lied too. I was deceived by the pictures that are featured. Those aren’t the falls. The falls featured are called Bridal Veil Falls. The water is barely trickling down the rocks.

My siblings and I did this not to long ago, loved it! It was amazing and the frozen waterfall was one of the coolest things I've seen. Make sure to wear good shoes with lots of grip still plenty of snow.

Fun little short hike. Hardly any ice. The trail was pretty well snow packed. You will want Yak Tracks. The frozen waterfall is gorgeous!

I did this hike on Jan 13. It was clear trail up to the first bridge then the trail was covered in ice from there on up.
I did the whole hike up to the top of the waterfall with out spikes on my shoes, definitely would of been helpful, and if you have them they are recommended. But like I said I didn't and I did just fine. Slipped a couple time coming down but luckily nothing bad.

Always a perfect and fairly easy hike, all seasons of the year!

This was our family's first time in this canyon, although my son had been the year before with his scout group. We went up Ding and down Dang, which I would probably recommend for the easier route.

Ding was perfect for our group of 6, age range 9-60. Great bouldering, and just a fun adventure hike. Dang was definitely more difficult, and my son said it was harder that he remembered from last year. There were quite a few boulders wedged in the narrow slot canyon with vertical drops between 10-15 feet on the other side. Luckily my husband was able to come this time and he helped us navigate over them, with only a few tears of panic from the younger ones.  I definitely wouldn't have wanted to try that on my own, but it was awesome.

Everyone had a great time after we got through the hairy spots, and I think we would absolutely do it again. If you aren't an experienced rock climber, or at least fairly brave, I would recommend going with someone who is, just in case you have to climb over they way we did.

Amazing view of Ogden and the waterfall is beautiful!! Steeper than I thought it would be especially close to the top, spikes highly recommended!

Super steep but great views. Rock Sofa at the top is a must! Fun short hike. Watch out for rattle snakes
