awesome brings me back to my love days

So much fun and amazing view all the way. Like to go up in hot spring to the peak since the view from trespass is better. It is better when you are going down hill and appreciate the view on the way back when you already done the hard work going up.

This trail should not be listed for mountain biking, or at least rated as a black diamond for biking (definitely not a blue). There is a sign that says no mountain biking along the trail as well, and the entry to the Hogback trail is essentially unmarked and is not maintained. I had to go off trail to avoid the no MTB section and missed the Hogback trail entry twice.

Great views. Too many people and unleashed dogs for my liking though.

I enjoyed the hike, we did the loop counterclockwise taking the trespass trail first and it was steep and strenuous for more than several parts of it. The view was amazing. Coming back down towards the hot springs is a steady downslope which was a bit hard on the knees down. I recommend bringing plenty of water3-5 liters each and some snacks. Sunscreen and a hat were also nice as we ended up above the clouds. Don’t forget your $2 cash!

Nice view...

boy we found a shortcut that has a lot of overgrowth but it's very steep and it cuts off almost a mile of the trip to mount Hollywood Peak

Visiting from Northern CA...went by the mountain biking description above. Trail is not bike friendly.

This is a great park. $12 day parking but the hikes are worth it. Beautiful and the MASH site was awesome! Most of the terrain was pretty flat.

fun adventures hike✌

This is my favorite trail in Griffith Park but I start this down by the pony rides/train ride. It makes the hike longer and more of a workout. Park down by the horses and walk across the street to the start of the hike, you can’t miss it. It will join up with other trails but eventually ends at Mt. Hollywood Summit which has amazing views of downtown LA and the observatory. If you take the hike from this starting point you don’t get the best views of the Hollywood sign.

It’s a great walking trail. If you’re looking for hiking trails, you may be disappointed, but if you’re thinking of a great walking trail for all age, families and dogs, this is the perfect place! We walked our dog along the trail and really enjoyed the scenery. The wildflowers, the ocean, and the birds are the best company alongside the trail. Moreover, the natural center (the Point Vicente Interpretive Center) has the whale watching event right next to the trail. We spotted about three whales when we were here! That’s such a surprise for the day since we didn’t expect to see whales at all! I see this trail doesn’t have lots of reviews on AllTrails, and I’d like to highlight it since we really had a very delightful and pleasant experience there.

Great loop with an easy to follow trail. The incline doesn't vary much and is never that steep. The trail is exposed most of the time with what shade there is coming on the fire trail on the way down. The views are great throughout the hike with stunning views of the water and surrounding mountains. Easy to get to and find as its right off the 101. $2.00 to park so bring cash!

Enjoyed this trial with my dog. Pretty easy but loved the view at the top. Went in early feb so it wasn’t too cold or too hot.

Very interesting and unique

Beautiful views of Santa Barbara

Fun hike with my dog, the view at the top of the summit is beautiful!

Beautiful trail and views!

Went up on Trespass and down on Gaviota Trail (road). It is a strenuous climb at the top.
Views on the Trespass side are great if the weather is clear. Views on the Gaviota Trail side are of the valleys.

Nice hike easy, dog friendly. Lot"s of people at dawn so pretty safe to hike at night. Amazing view of LA.

My girlfriend a I hiked the trail on the Super, Blue, Red moon yesterday! Got to the top half hour before moon rise and a hour before sunset.
Beautiful! But got a $96 parking ticket at 6:30pm!
Bummer since these moons come only every 35 yrs. Park on the road outside the parking area!

Really good hike with beautiful views. Went with my husband and my 13 year old daughter and we all enjoyed the challenge.

Very nice and easy walking alone the costal trail. You can also get to see some nice houses on the side. You can walk the dog with leash on. Watch a beautiful sunset on a lovely Saturday afternoon:) easy parking. Sometimes you get to see rabbits. Fun!

Very convenient place to hike if you’re visiting Santa Barbara and live in the area but don’t want to venture up to San Rafael Wildnerness or Lake Cachuma.

Definitely easy. - not really a “hike.” The view is spectacular. Once you get to lighthouse, unclear how to proceed.

One of my favorite LA Hikes. On a clear day you can see all of Los Angeles. Get there before 8am and you can park at the Observatory for free. Happy Hikings!

Nice hike. We passed through the Mash site. Pretty neat, good photo ops. There is also a camera holder so that you can take pictures. It's where the 2nd truck is at. Just keep going past the first truck you see. However, the end of the trail just ends abruptly with some fences. So that was odd. The Century lake is beatiful!

Nice way to see just how big Griffith Park is.

I forget how beautiful LA is from up here! This is a popular trail and I saw quite a few strollers. I started off from Vermont and hiked to Mt Hollywood. You have to cross the parking lot of the observatory to continue on to the Mt Hollywood trail. Will take my girls on his hike next.
