Bugs, bugs, and more bugs. Explains all the spider webs. Won't be returning.

it was very nice

Trail is easy to follow, but long pants and sleeves are necessary due to overgrown trail conditions. Not a good walk for dogs due to risk of tick bites.

Always lookimg for giys to gike sround new castld with

Another beautiful trail in the park. Easier hike than the alpha pass trail. Waterfall is a nice payoff at the end.

Very nice and well maintained trail! This is more of a nature walk than a hike. Go for parts of the gorge trail if you want more of a hike. It’s a nice calm walk through the woods with a few crossings of the creek that are manageable at low water. At the end of Hells Hollow there are some gorgeous falls which, once again, at low water are very easily accessible. We plan to head back after some rain to see the how quick the water moves and how full some of the narrows get!

Beautiful trail! Well marked trail, beautiful wild flowers, streams, springs, and waterfalls!

Modified the loop here a little on our way down when we saw some switch backs and thought "eh why not." Kind of treacherous with little ones. The footing is all shale and can be quite slippy but if you take your time, you'll be fine. Went when the leaves were bare and aside from the lower part of the trail it wasn't the most exciting hike, but nice for being right in the middle of the city.

I didn’t see a place to ask questions so I suppose I’ll use this... I’ve been on this trail a few times and all but once, the creek was mild and it was easy access to the waterfall. We’ve always stopped at the waterfall and turned around. I’ve seen people come from the other direction while at the falls. One time we went, the water was to high at the waterfall to cross at the bottom of the steps. Can anyone provide directions to come from the other side. I would love to see the waterfall when the water is high!

Beautiful trail. Not very long. Open and scenic ending with a picturesque waterfall. Great for children, dogs. Great for seniors except for the stairs down to the foot of the falls.

Easy trail for those with young kids. My 3 year old did the entire trail without stopping. My 2 year old could have walked it if she wanted but chose the easy ride in and out in the backpack. Trail is well marked and taken care of. There are wooden bridges over the stream crossings and a nice set of stairs that leads down to the waterfall base. Be prepared to get your feet a little wet if you hike in sneakers and want to go to the base. The stairs let you out in the stream so if it is at all high you’ll have wet feet. Looks like the area would be prone to flash flooding so be mindful of the weather and conditions before going to the base.

This trail was a nice ending to a beautiful hike on a more difficult trail. Easy on the feet and great views of the calm waters was a welcomed treat. I particularly enjoyed the dedication bench along the way, and took a moment to reflect. ❤

Pretty easy trail, did the whole thing with wife and baby in stroller. There were a couple of parts where we had to lift the stroller a little. Got a few real scenic views. The waterfall at the end is small but still kind of cool. Nice, relaxing walk.

Water in the falls was low. Would love to see it with a nice flow.

This trail is not At all well marked and I couldn't even find the trail despite my best effort. At the start of the trail head there is an old Trail head marker knocked over that says Bridle trails but that one is so grown over it's not really accessible. Frustrating!

This is a really nice trail. There's lots of places to sit and rest should you get tired. There's also a clean restroom to relieve yourself as well as water fountains for both you and your pets.

It was a very easy path. Their were steps going down to the waterfall. My daughter had knee surgery 2 months ago and she was able to do the trail with minimum pain.

Unless Google took me to the wrong place, the actual trail only lasted maybe 1/2 mile. And that 1/2 mile was very hilly, gravely, and full of holes. After that that, the trail split. I chose the wrong split twice before turning around, 2 dead ends.... the other split was a road. If I wanted to ride on a road I'd walk out my front door.... I wanted a trail... that was not a trail worth going back to at all....

As of 6/24/17 there was a downed tree on the trail that has been routed around.

You can still reach the falls which are really nice to see with higher water levels.

Very easy hike. When the water is high bring water shoes to get the best view of the falls.

Easy hike, mostly flat. Great for dogs and kiddos. Stairs to the falls can be a little slippery and getting across the water to the front of the falls can be tricky but a few brave rock hops and you'll be set.
