Enjoy this hike every time! Kids love it and so does the dog. Nice to have a trail both can go on.

Kelly were you there just 3 days ago?. I'm taking some scouts there and would like to know if I need to provide them with snow shoes. What is the status of the trail?

Hiked this trail with my two kids last week, my five year old did great. this Trailhead is a little bit steeper than the Granite trail head that also leads to Bell Canyon reservoir but it was still a nice Trail. The reservoir water line is still low as of last Sunday; leaving the lower Creek bed dry, but this means you can easily hike around the reservoir without getting your feet wet. It is also not stocked for fishing yet from what I heard from other hikers.

This trail was really easy with gorgeous scenery. It started to get steep going down toward the falls. We ended up taking the trail to Sundance so we didn't have to go back up the steep rocky hill. I had my mother with me and she was done at the waterfall so it was a blessing we met a couple who had came up the Sundance trail and they offered to take us to our car. The trail from Sundance is only about a mile and a half one way but I felt it was more difficult going towards the falls than the Stewart Falls trail. The falls was gorgeous with ice and water. Dogs are allowed off leash and my dog had a wonderful time as well.

Steep first .4 miles. Fairly nice walk around the lake. Some snow on north facing trials. Overall a very pleasant hike.

Very steep. Went a few days ago and is currently covered in snow and some ice. This hike is basically you climbing the entire time until you reach the lake and then climbing back down. Would not recommend toddlers due to steep stairs and ice. The lake was semi frozen but still beautiful. Gave my thighs a workout for sure.

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that this was done mid-December. Seriously such a cool hike. We were the first ones to go up after a small snow fall, so fresh tracks all the way up, although it was a little slippery at parts. Falls were half frozen, which was also neat. Not sure about the traffic or conditions during summer, but this was a great early winter trek.

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that I did this hike in early September. Went with some friends to hike this on Labor day. Quite possibly the worst day to do so. The parking lot closest to the lake was filled, so we had to park at the ski lodge. We could have taken a shuttle from there to the real trailhead, but the wait was 45min+, so we started our hike from there. Very sunny, hot, and exposed for most of it, so be prepared. Also, there were so many people! This would have been much nicer if the trail wasn't so backed up. Didn't stay long at the lake because of how many others were already there. Other than the heavy traffic, this would have been a nice, short, enjoyable hike.

This is the steeper but shorter trailhead. It’s less popular so I have found it easier to get parking.

The trail was really pretty and easy, however when we went down, there were approximately 700 Boy Scouts coming up on a Friday night, as well as some other groups, and there aren’t really a ton of camp spots. So I recommend it for a day hike, but if you camp there, you may be sharing it with a lot of the Boy Scouts in Utah county. When I have more time I want to head up to silver glance lake above.

Did this as a giant loop of the ridge line around Brighton. The views from the top can hardly be beat. It’s hard to climb a peak in the northern Wasatch and not just see SLC or Heber/Midway from the top, so it was nice to climb a mountain and just see more mountains and lakes. Did this the first week of July and there was some snow but nothing unmanageable

Gorgeous area ! Spectacular waterfall. It’s a must !!! I’ve hiked it a few times.

Gorgeous hike. Worth it to hike to waterfall. This was my little border collie puppy, Koa first hike...so much fun. I recommend bringing water and a snack for yourself and dog. If you have micro spikes for your hiking boots bring them. There was on spot going back with ice where we had to slide down and I had to have my boyfriend catch me because I went down super fast.

The roads closed during the winter /:

Easily one of my favorite hikes. It doesn’t take a long time to get there, it’s not too hard, there are lots of places to hammock when you get there, and the lake is so beautiful and clear! I love going up there to relax and enjoy the pretty view :)

Amazing views! This was a bit more difficult in the snow and the trails were icy in spots. Need to wear good shoes/boots to accommodate the snow/ice

This was a wonderful hike, beautful scenery and waterfall. The snow covers 90% of the trail, but the footing is safe and trails are clear.

beautiful! its a little tedious but definitely worth the visit

Nice views. Can also be hiked from Brighton

Nice easy hike with some scenic views.

Nice easy hike with some scenic views.

Nice easy hike with some scenic views.

Paved parking lots and restrooms at trailhead. Easy-moderate. The falls are beautiful and the spray is refreshing in the Summer. Not too much sun protection/ exposed. Make time for lunch or an iced tea at the iconic Sundance Resort!

Awesome little hike.

we might have gone the wrong way but it was tough getting to the waterfall at the end but it was an easy hike, very shaded, the waterfall is worth it

Went there today with a friend to get above the inversion pollution. Clear skies and cleaner air. Yay! :) Only a little bit of snow in places on the trail though. December with almost no snow? How weird is that? It was beautiful, the falls were mostly ice at this point. Love this hike. Easy hike, fun, family friendly.

visited Sundance resort and drove to Stewart falls trailhead. Hiked 2 miles from trailhead to falls. Top tier is ice now, and has a beautiful chandelier look to it. Lower tier still flowing. Beautiful hike. snow on half of trail. few slick spots. No wild life seen today. Just a deer leg on trail....
