Lovely snowshoe when the powder was fresh. Easy prairie terrain. Very quiet trail.

Pretty sunset hike, lots of bison on Moss Lake. Saw many deer prints but we were loud talkers and we didn't see any deer. Snow was well packed down, did the loop with just hiking boots.

Fun winter hike. The trail is very well marked. Took about 3 hours to complete, no snowshoes, no micro spikes, just hiking boots. Saw bisons on the road. Lots of howling.

Beautiful trail. We hiked this short loop in January and came across 6 other people. I would rate this trail as easy, with some moderate inclines. Definitely recommend some spikes if you’re going in the winter.

Had a great time on the trail can say it was nice and quiet in the snow, if you do plan on going in our lovely winter months bring some shoe grips.

Not much to see but great way to get the day started before doing a big hike.

I saw a lot of bisons! Some even a little bit too close for my liking

Snowshoed this last winter with the hoarfrost. Not exactly the most scenic trail, but the snow and frost made it pretty.

Short, easy trail, great for an on-leash dog walk. Still pleasant in a few inches of snow.

Did this trail early morning mid October, great trail definitely one of the better trails in the park, good variety of scenery and small lakes Saw one buffalo on the trail. Some hills nothing drastic, definitely going back before the snow comes.

Hiked this trail in mid October early in the morning. Had 3 elk walk up to me to about 15 feet before they got spooked, I could hear the male elks calling was an excellent hike saw Bison on the way in and lots of partridge. Stopped for a snack in a nice open field there are signs warning of quicksand. Didn't know this was a thing in Alberta. Last time I hiked this trail was in June lots of mosquitoes.

good hike, but once you pass the pond there is nothing else to see really! it’s a circle in the forest, and unfortunately we didn’t see any wildlife whatsoever! it was a beautiful pond though so definitely go the ~1km up the trail for that, just turn around at the circle to save yourself some time and energy :-)

Nice quick morning walk. Lots of different views for scenery. Bison along the way and lots of birds and waterfowl, not to forget about squirrels and chipmunks. The path leading to the trailhead is paved but after that it’s stumpy and bumpy, wouldn’t recommend a stroller as I passed a group who ended up having to carry theirs.

Although the description said that it takes 1-2 hours, my husband and I did a brisk walk and it took us only around 30 minutes. That was mostly in part because we were woefully unprepared for the mosquito situation and just wanted to quickly finish the loop.
This is a easy trail with some very small hills (check the elevation gain info). Great starter hike for beginners. Not very scenic but there is a small pond at the beginning of the loop. We spotted some birds on pond and a few squirrels along the trail.

Some small hills but a nice trail to introduce kids to trail riding.

Very accessible to all levels.

Very pleasant, easy stroll. Enjoyed watching the very busy beavers in the pond near the beginning of the trail. There were also beautiful wetland flowers. I didn’t see any other animals (which is to be expected, as it was afternoon), but there were tracks/scat/fur from bison, elk, deer, and coyote, so if you went in the morning or evening you’d likely have a good chance.

A nice trail. Largely deciduous forest. There are a couple of short boardwalks- one with a meadow view, one by a beautiful wetland- where it was nice to take a water break and watch for creatures.

A lovely, short trail. I went two days in a row at sunset and was able to enjoy numerous beaver, muskrat, and waterfowl. This would be a great trail to bring the kids along.

Great easy trail. We went the last weekend in April so it was a little bit wet but still amazing! We will absolutely be back.

Bring insect repellent, water, snacks/lunch. take out your ear buds. turn off your phone and put it in your pocket. pay attention to your surroundings (dont state at your feet). Very enjoyable hiking, lots of great views and wildlife.

It was alright. A lot of wood parts and mossy trail. Biked the trail and didn’t see any bisons :(

nice views and a little bit of incline at some spots. some benches to sit on and a picnic table halfway. not too many muddy spots. overall good day!

I’ve only done this trail on snow shoes. It’s a fun quick trail that has enough small ups and downs to not be too much of a stroll. Did it with the dog on a 15 foot lead. Has some nice viewing spots.

I love this trail four seasons ... it’s challenging enough to give one a sense of accomplishment. Many nice spots for contemplation.
