Excellent trails for hiking along the creek. It's really well maintained by officials and citizens alike and very clean. I didn't see a single bit of trash the entire time. The bridges are amazing and very nice. Pocatello is a gem for things like this and it's nice to explore a trail so nicely put together.

We got 5.4 miles away from the trail head in our little Toyota Camry and there is a large hill that is basically a mud hill. I went half way up but started to slide. Maybe I’ll bring a 4x4 next time

All winter activities do cost $5 per person but is 100% worth it! All of the trails are clearly marked and have check points along the way, if tracing in the winter months there is a small historical town you can walk through and see the inside of the building. Have a plan before you go and check in at the visitors center they are very knowledgeable and can help make the trip even easier!

We figured (3 of is) that it is closer to a 7 me round trip, but absolutely beautiful and worth the hike!

I did an abbreviation of this hike - totaled about 5 miles. We went out to the jumping-rock, which was great.

Did this in mid-July and the lake was freezing (not surprising since it’s fed by glacial runoff).

Easy hike with kids and great scenery everywhere. Loved this spot.

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that this hike was done mid-October. Nice, quite trail with a fair amount of snow. We were warned about bear sightings in the area earlier that morning, but we didn't see any. However, after returning to our car and driving down the road a bit, we did come across a momma bear and two cubs!

Catching up on some reviews, so recognize that I was here in mid-October. Visited for a weekend to escape busy college life, and this was our first hike in the park. Very few people, which was a big plus. Falls were beautiful and already party freezing. On our way back, we went the rest of the way around the lake, not realizing how much longer it would take. Still enjoyable and recommend the hike to any visitor.

Beautiful peaceful trail located within the Rockefeller Preserve. I’ve done this trail 3-4x. One note able time was when we turned a corner and a rather large black bear was sitting on the trail eating berries. Definitely recommend...

I did this hike in June of 2016 with my wife and son. Like that of previous reviews, this is a 10 mile out and back hike. This hike is also more on the difficult side as well. We ran into a number of people that were struggling on this trail that felt it was far harder than the moderate app rating. Personally, my family and I thought it was a beautiful hike with a lot of beautiful scenery. We will definitely hike this trail again if I’m ever in the neighborhood again.

I love this hike a lot.

Perfect introduction hike to this beautiful National park. Not super hard gets really hot in the summer but worth every step.

Beautiful.

One of our absolute favorites. We have gone in the summer, spring, and fall. It's gorgeous in the spring/summer with all the flowers

This is a fun little trail and it's a pretty good workout. There are a few things you should look out for though. It gets MUDDY, so don't go for a few days after it rains, and the trail is pretty hard to distinguish in places because of washout and fallen trees so make sure you really know where you are.

Great trail. We made a late season run to the 6.5 mile mark in preparation for next year's Palisades Ultra Trail Series. Creeks were cold and snow was 1-4 inches with lots of animal signs, no actual sightings though. Can't wait until next year!

This was a nice trail! We hiked it at dusk so we made a fair amount of noise to warn off any bears. The trail runs parallel to a road but with a lot of pine trees on either side. Didn't see anyone else on the trail.

Great trail, super pretty, just very muddy.

Easy trail. We went on a cloudy day so we didn't really have a great view. I assume if it's not cloudy you'd have pretty good views of the Tetons however they will be behind you while hiking on the way in. We didn't do the entire route as we didn't feel the view would have been any different at the 'summit'.

Did with my two daughters (6, 3) and my wife, we really enjoyed this trail. Great views pretty much most of the way. Some places along the way to stop and eat/ enjoy the views. Falls were beautiful and we continued up to lower inspiration point (the higher one was closed). On the way back we sat by moose ponds for a bit and enjoyed the stillness. Great time!

Phenomenal just barely moderate hike. We started at the LSR preserve, not the Death Canyon trailhead, and did the whole loop. We began around 8:45am and there was only one other car in the lot. When we finished around 1:00pm it was nearly full, though. It was a quiet, secluded hike up until the last few miles when we were on our way back down. Definitely recommend following the loop counter-clockwise for optimal views.

The hike there is beautiful, it's a little difficult to get down to the lake but worth it. There was quite a bit of people there already when I went (during summer of 2016)

Beautiful views through the whole hike. We hiked all the way to the top and my polar says it was a total of 6.5 miles from parking lot and back. Took my mom who doesn't hike much and she made it the entire way. Lots of places to stop and take breaks. Definitely a must do!

Loved this hike! Thought it was really easy for a high peak...like everyone else has said, the first 3 miles are flat with a tiny gradual descent with no rocks. There are a couple of look out spots along the way. The last mile is killer and seems never ending, but it's worth it!
