Fun trail! It has some really cool features: small caves, an arch and a waterfall. I’m going back in a couple of weeks to explore some of the off-shoot trails and see the fall colors.

Beautiful trail. The trailhead is not marked very well and is across the road from the parking lot next to a residence. Very boring for the first mile or so. Lots of spider webs so use a stick to knock them down. Abt a mile in it gets much prettier and lush. Gorgeous rock formations. Slick in spots. Good for kids just keep an eye on them. The falls were beautiful with a lil sandy beachy area. Talk falls that land in a rock pile so you can’t get under them really. Not really enough water underneath to wade in but I guess sometimes it would be a good I swimming hole to splash in with a sandy bottom. Headed out is mostly uphill. We did not see a single person on our hike on a beautiful Sunday in October so I’d say this trail is not frequented much.

Loved this place, just went today definitely a good hike and picture taking place. Seen one snake other then that no problems other then saying wow a hundred times lol....

Hiked this trail on 9/13/18, it was a good trail, not difficult, well marked and had some cool rock formations. We had the place to ourselves, we didn't see a single other person the whole day.

Yahoo is definitely one of my favorite places. The trail is definitely a hike, but its perfect for Fall!

Awesome trail. Very beautiful scenery. Lots of wildlife. An outstanding 1 hour hike

Nice trail, the fall was really cool.. you don’t have to take the staircase down, if you keep walking the trail loops around and you can get down on the other side... good information, if you have a dog.

Absolutely beautiful trail. Incredible rock formations, beautiful wild flowers, gorgeous falls. It's well marked and maintained. It took us just under four hours, and that's including an hour and a half at the falls. The shade is great too! Take a stick because we went through at least 30 spider webs!

Beautiful trail!

Loved this hike! We cobbled together the Sunset Point, River Styx Spring, and Green River Bluff trails to create a good loop. This trail has some good inclines and great overlooks of Sunset Point, the River Styx Spring, and the Green River. Also took a short detour to Dixon Cave. Saw a few deer as well.

nice trail with beautiful views. Close to the visitor center

Fun trail. Offers different options of you want to take shortcuts. Very wooded hike (wear your bug spray). Fun addition to a Mammoth Cave tour.

We did this today and the views and hike were great. Only downfall was the ticks!! We sprayed boots, pants and socks and just pulled 20 baby size ticks off of the wife.

It is a beautiful place. You can see the falls with a much shorter hike though. (I have done both hikes.) If you go to the main entrance for Yahoo Falls there is a small parking lot and bathrooms. From this point it is only about 1/2 mile to the falls. You can cross over at the top of the falls (just don't take the path that says it goes to the arch) and take a trail down to the bottom of the falls. Very pretty area. There are steps going up if you cross over at the base of the falls...they are real "thigh-burners"...or go back up the path you came down. Makes for a nice, cooler, shorter, kid friendly, hike.

Hiked this trail back in June for my birthday. I took the metal steps down to where you can pick up the trail to hike along the creek or go on out to the Falls. I took the creek, it seemed less traveled and it gets tight and wet in spots. I actually got off the trail once for a bit but got back on with no problem(yes, a bit of an adrenaline rush). Went up to the Falls and cooled off, went on out to Yahoo Arch and out some of the old road Negro Creek Loop and then back but stayed on the trail that takes you across the top of the Falls. (This is part of a back country trail that hooks into the Sheltowee Trace Trail. You can also stay at Alum Ford Campground as well as the backcountry)

The overlook is very beautiful. Only downfall is where the little cave the trail is COVERED in poison ivy, not a lot of people while hiking either.

We hiked this trail over the weekend. It was very beautiful, quiet and peaceful. A very beautiful place and we will be going back again

great views and so quite please, I love it, I will come back again for sure...!

We hiked the upper rim trail to the falls (not much flow) and returned to the junction for the lower trail down many metal steps into the gorge. The lower trail was much more impressive. Trail signage was minimal and trails were often overgrown. We hiked about two miles.

This is a very short and easy trail. The map above shows a loop but this trail is an out and back. It follows the river and is somewhat scenic but not much.

Very scenic, well marked and maintained. Not too strenuous. Challenging, but not intimidating. Did the Violet City Cave tour in the afternoon!!! Great Day!

Fantastic hike! I think the mileage may be off by a mile. The rock formations are amazing and the falls are pretty with a nice sandy beach to sit and admire them. My dogs had a great time playing in the water. We didn't see anyone there - except for a bear! The trailhead was slightly confusing because it forked at the beginning with no signage. It looks like there may have been a sign there once. Anyway, go right.

June 2018: saw a rattlesnake, bear... and LOTS of TICKS!!

Parked on the side of the road indicated by the trail head, easy to find the trail. The first bit of this trail was overgrown with a lot of brush coming into the path. Almost stepped on a rattlesnake unknowingly, which turned aggressive as we noticed it. A bit startling. The middle of the trail is EPIC, as it consists of cave-like structures and trails that weave through them. The actual waterfall isn’t at the end of this trail, it is about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through. It seems the end of this trail is the parking lot for the scenic overlook trail. On the way back we spotted a large (150+lb) black bear on the trail. Also a bit startling. Lived to tell this tale. Only harm done was two tick bites, sore legs, and some general anxiety as a moderately inexperienced hiker.

I hiked to Makers Arch first. Trail was adequate but a bit overgrown. (1 mile). Then continued to Yahoo Falls. Beautiful rock formations abound once you get into the ridges. The falls is amazing and is worth the hike. However, don't take this hike lightly. I did the 5 plus miles in just a bit over 2 hours. Take water with you and apply bug spray before going into the woods. Although All Trails rates the trail as moderate because of the distance and elevation change it is on the Hard end of Moderate. Great Hike!

I decided to go for a hike at the hottest part of the day (noon and 92 F). The trees provided great coverage and the temperatures was actually pretty moderate. I also only encountered maybe a handful of fellow hikers, despite how crowded the parking lot was. I can probably assume that people were doing the cave tours and did not want to be outdoors like me. The trails are well maintained and it would make a great running trail!

This place has it all :) Absolutely beautiful and well taking care of♡

Very pretty! Easy hike, very peaceful. Only encountered a couple other people the day I went.

Was a great hike, lots of orange salamanders so watch your step as they hang out on the path. We did the hike to the falls and on to the end about 5.73 miles total. Seen a turtle in the path and a lot of birds in the surrounding woods.
