Loved this hike! We cobbled together the Sunset Point, River Styx Spring, and Green River Bluff trails to create a good loop. This trail has some good inclines and great overlooks of Sunset Point, the River Styx Spring, and the Green River. Also took a short detour to Dixon Cave. Saw a few deer as well.

nice trail with beautiful views. Close to the visitor center

Fun trail. Offers different options of you want to take shortcuts. Very wooded hike (wear your bug spray). Fun addition to a Mammoth Cave tour.

We enjoyed this hike with our 10 and 8 year old plus pup. Had some pretty views in the .5 loop and we walked down the the sink hole ground at one point. We wore bug spray and were fine. Took about 1 hour to hike but nice family morning hike!!

Hiked this trail for an overnight camping trip with co-workers from work. Trail is well maintained, with road and gravel sections. Camp ground was very nice and the hike was ok. Once we got set up in camp we spent the afternoon exploring the area and nearby creek. Lots of horse traffic on the trail - causing a few muddy patches but most of the horse riders were considerate to us as we always stepped off the trail for the approaching horses. The campground has horse tie outs, one tent pad and an installed fire ring. There was plenty of nearby downed wood for the night's fire and the nearby creek had good filtered water. All in all it was an enjoyable weekend but there are better trails with better scenery nearby.

great views and so quite please, I love it, I will come back again for sure...!

This is a very short and easy trail. The map above shows a loop but this trail is an out and back. It follows the river and is somewhat scenic but not much.

We accessed this one from the Echo River Trail. It's easy and well maintained.

I really don't know how to rate the hike. I wasn't impressed with the view. It's basically downhill going and uphill coming back. However, it's not too difficult. My son and I went counter clockwise at the loop and we had to climb the metal steps so if you don't like climbing a few steps at one time, do the loop clockwise and you should do better.

There were lots of muddy spots to traverse. We were hoping for a trail that looped. Sadly, this was not one of them.

Very scenic, well marked and maintained. Not too strenuous. Challenging, but not intimidating. Did the Violet City Cave tour in the afternoon!!! Great Day!

I decided to go for a hike at the hottest part of the day (noon and 92 F). The trees provided great coverage and the temperatures was actually pretty moderate. I also only encountered maybe a handful of fellow hikers, despite how crowded the parking lot was. I can probably assume that people were doing the cave tours and did not want to be outdoors like me. The trails are well maintained and it would make a great running trail!

Very pretty! Easy hike, very peaceful. Only encountered a couple other people the day I went.

pretty trail, very maintained, very easy.

Trail was in good condition. Several benches along the way if you need to rest, as well as overlooks with nicely constructed decks and walkways.

Trail in very good condition, trees provide ample shad and some nice views of the green river. Elevation changes pretty easy to manage.

Very unique trail!

Very pretty hike. There are other trails at end of this one if you wish to continue on. I recommend you do!

My husband and I took our pit bull and Bassett with us on this trip. It was a good hike, especially for dogs!

A fun must-see feature if you're visiting Mammoth Cave! Trail has enough grade to provide a bit of a workout without being obnoxious, and has some excellent scenery in the bottom of the sink. We took the right side of the loop and went counterclockwise. This delayed the appearance of some of the better views, and is probably the best way to do it. Grade in is downhill, with the steepest part being exiting the sink. Several sets of steel stairs there, so footing/safety isn't a problem. Would do it again!

easy trail for adults may be challenging for young children under 8 because of the stairs. not much to see at the beginning however it's relaxing and as you go further it surprises you. loved this trail was a fun walk.

Really unique hike to see a sinkhole where a subterranean river makes a brief appearance before going back underground. Lots of stairs, and may not be suitable for those afraid of heights.
