Fun trail! It has some really cool features: small caves, an arch and a waterfall. I’m going back in a couple of weeks to explore some of the off-shoot trails and see the fall colors.

Great to be so close to Lexington yet so removed. Almost every one says Hi on the trail. We have dogs I understand both the danger of the cliffs and protection of the woodland creatures.

A must do for any Kentuckian! Historically important locale to America! Stunning scenic views and just a must!

Great hike, but I wouldn’t bring younger children.

Consistently one of my favorites. Variety in terrain and several nice viewpoints. Not overly difficult with plenty of spots to stop for a rest.

Great for the whole family. We took the River Road Trail, not labeled, down to the palisades.

Loved this place, just went today definitely a good hike and picture taking place. Seen one snake other then that no problems other then saying wow a hundred times lol....

Pretty short hike. Some boulders to climb at the end when approaching the falls. Looked beautiful today, after all the rain we had.

Great hike . Well maintained trails . The people at the Berea outreach center were very friendly and helpful

The trail did not run beside the creak, about 10” from the trail there was a rusty old barb wired fence, and the waterfall at best was 2’! We would not do this trail again!

near Berea Ky. Out of the way place but worth going to. The hike starts easy but gets progressively challenging especially the last little push to the waterfall. huge ice in winter, beautiful flowers in spring, safe trail, in dry weather no waterfall.

We had a good time with our 8, 5 and 3 year old. Probably will do it again soon.

Yahoo is definitely one of my favorite places. The trail is definitely a hike, but its perfect for Fall!

Enjoyed the trail and views but it was disappointing there are no dogs allowed.

Gorgeous views and a moderate hike. Great place to trail run or day hike.

We enjoyed the West Pinnacle today with friends. The trail is wide and gravel most of the way with more rocky terrain as you gain altitude. There are so steep portions but otherwise a moderate hike. Saw some wild flowers along the way. There’s an impressive rock formation at the top and a modest view. There’s not a ton of space to enjoy the view. We’ve heard the East Pinnacle has a better view. That’s where we’ll go next time!

Best hike in central Kentucky for exploring the geology of the palisades rock formations. Unique trail puts you up against the palisade walls as you follow their contour alongside the river.

I think its great especially if there is a water fall not always the case. Also, if you go far deep into the hike it gets even better but harder. Ive gone twice and enjoyed both times! And my dog loved it as well!

Been coming here for years. love it

Slippery When Wet! Nice trail, attractive views but was very slippery in areas. We had appropriate hiking boots and it was still a little too ‘exciting’ in places!

Nice trail, the fall was really cool.. you don’t have to take the staircase down, if you keep walking the trail loops around and you can get down on the other side... good information, if you have a dog.

beautiful trail. not a loop.

Wish I had my water shoes only complaint, water was high crossing streams. Fun trail perfect tranquil time in woods!!!

This is my favorite place to be! It's so peaceful at the top.

Great trail with interesting historical attributes. Branch right where the river turns and you get a beautiful set of waterfalls.

This trail was awesome! We took the white trails that branched off the red which i highly recommend and added over a mile to our total. The white trails have the really great parts! The creek was great! There were butterflies everywhere that landed on us! We saw several deer that had no fear of us at all! This is a beautiful, peaceful place.

This was a beautiful hike but it is NOT a loop. The map doesn't show it as a loop either. There was a fork in the trail towards the beginning, we followed the trail marked John Holder. The creek was wonderful! There were lots of places to wade and swim. We followed the creek for a while then backtracked a bit to get back on the trail.

Went with family and dog. Loved it just make sure to have good shoes with traction.

hiked this trail from the campground. It was pretty strenuous on the way up but so beautiful with so much history!
