Great trails beautiful woods. Highly recommend.

Nice hills, views, wide paths, but could use more trail markers.

This was a fun little hike. The signage was super confusing at times.. and we got a little turned around a couple times trying to avoid the muddy conditions... but all in all not a bad hike. I can see how people would say you need a GPS we did get turned around and have to use our phone to find our way around a couple times, but nothing to worry about.

An absolutely beautiful day hike.

One of my all-time favorite parks for hiking and geocaching.

Solid little day hike. Pretty trails and great place to get a handful of miles in without having to commit the entire day.

We’ve enjoyed this park since it opened to the public. Good trail markers have been added. This is my favorite time of the year to hike because you can see through the acreage before the trees become full. There are a lot of short trail options so your hike can vary each time to come.

Another beautiful West Michigan trail.

I’ve hiked it a couple times, and it was nice. Lots of hills, perfect hike to bring dogs on. Very pretty scenery. I’ve recently started trail running here, and I like the hills, the trails are pretty clear of debris and I don’t have to worry much about tripping over twigs and rocks— it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite trail runs.

We loved this park! All sorts of different trails and awesome for kids and pets. We will be going back often!

Love the trails! Very beautiful/peaceful. Also great trails for a dog

Great trails, very rustic. Great for taking dogs

Definitely my favorite trail on the NE side of town and it is top 5 in west Michigan. 8 Mile Loop that is beautiful no matter what season you go. I love hiking this trail...I always come out taller than when I went in.

I actually really enjoy the trails but I’ve been here twice now and am very annoyed by the poor trail signage.

There’s NO mention of North Country Trail anywhere on the map but there are NCT trail signs at least 15-20 times on the red and blue loops, many times to the exclusion of any other trail signs. It’s very confusing, especially on the blue loop since NCT blaze and signs are also blue.

This visit was the full red and blue loops and I was turned around twice due to lack of signs. Consider the excellent signage at Aman Park, Hoffmaster, North Ottawa Dunes.

I don’t believe a gps should be mandatory for a day hike.

Beautiful paved trail that follows the flat river most of the way. Our favorite starting point, where we park the car is Jackson’s Landing, and you can head either way as the trail is a loop. Baldwin Lake community is a part of the loop and is our favorite section of the trail! Early morning or sunsets!

I’d like to try this trail again when the foliage is out. This is a super entertaining trail, with all kinds of twists and turns that make it challenging for trail riders and fun for hikers. I like narrow trails just like this. A few more hills would be nice but that’s fine! This is also well-marked and while I was the only hiker in five miles, the trail riders were very polite and friendly.

Very nice, short secluded hike in the city.

Gorgeous, tons of birds to see, as well as beavers and muskrats.

Trails are well-marked with lots of little paths down to the water's edge. Short and easy, but there's lots to see.

Very pretty, good elevation changes.

Watch out for poison ivy along the trail. It's not tremendously prolific right now but there are vines and shoots all over the place, it'll only get worse as it gets warmer.

Nice trails with a little of everything, woods, meadows, lake and river. I've hike it several times and other than a little mud and flooding in the spring, no complaints.

Peaceful indeed! Quite decent elevation changes for a moderate.

I saw eastern bluebirds, but there was a lot of noise on the north side from a neighboring excavation of some kind off of Bolt Drive.

We arrived about 11:00 am for a walk around the lake under a clear blue sky. The temp was crisp when we arrived, with the muddy trails mostly frozen. There are about a half dozen stream crossings, most with bridges. We saw only one other person on the trail. The east and south sides of the lake are the best. The rest is mostly meadow trail. Saw geese, woodpeckers and heard other birds, including redwing blackbirds.

Well marked trails. Easy to get to. Mix of paved and non-paved paths. Closer to highway than expected. Mountain bike trails look fun though.

Beautiful. A good variety of different terrain.

Great hike! It took about 3.5 hours (including breaks and photography). We walked the opposite direction (counter clockwise) so we wouldn’t be surprised by bikers (they go clockwise). Generally, this trail is very remote and serene. We’ll be back.
