The trail was beautiful at every turn, and the destination was even better. We backpacked to the beach and did the hike to Point of the Arches. It was unlike anything we’d ever seen before. At low tide we saw starfish and anemones in tidal pools and on the rocks that were exposed. Sea stacks are all around, of course.

Be prepared to maneuver a muddy trail; hiking poles helped us immensely. Finding the old rope leading to the beach has now been replaced by stairs was a pleasant surprise.

we went on this hike in early summer paid 5 bucks to park 5 bucks to

The cemetery was cool. The ruins were interesting. The falls are gorgeous. Fun fall hike overall. I will be back to explore more!

Very beautiful with fall colors. Falls were alittle weak compared to other times visited, yet just as beautiful and worth the drive!!

Today I was going to do Cape Horn, but when I drove up the colors had not changed enough to be worth it. Instead I came to this old favorite. A beautiful day for a hike up and trail run back! It was worth it the colors had just changed enough. You can tell it’s been a dry year two on the main side creeks were completely dry, but the main Falls is as beautiful as ever. Not as crowded as normal. The road is much better than it has been in the past, but there are some pot holes. I have an all-wheel drive RAV4 and only had to slow down in one spot to put in perspective.

We were enjoying the fall foliage colors on the drive up so much that we missed the “Falls Creek Falls” trailhead sign and accidentally drove up another 10 miles. We turned around and found a nice local who told us where the trailhead sign was - I really think there’s only 1 sign marking this turnoff, which is on a blind corner. So watch for mile marker #15 and the access road is just around the corner on the right {if you are coming from Carson}. If you cross a short bride named Moore Bridge, you just missed the access road. Access road to trailhead had just a couple small potholes, which are totally avoidable.. it was a pretty smooth dirt road, though I’m sure it gets rutted up once the rain starts. Hike to the falls are 1.7 in with a slight incline as you get closer to the falls. We were short on time, so we came back down the same trail instead of doing the longer loop. Beautiful rich fall foliage colors are happening right now {Oct 13th}

lots of ups and downs. lots of fungi..... fun hike with kids and critters. my only complaint..... need more signs.

This was by far my favorite hike of 2018. Challenging, beautiful, fun and plenty to see. Went of trail to get behind and underneath some waterfalls, but nothing too crazy!

This hike was pretty crowded on an October day. It starts out as paved, but turns into a rocky and dirt trail shortly into the start. It can be pretty slippery at times. It’s very beautiful and you get to go behind waterfalls.

I was expecting a lot more. It's not well marked at all, so I'm not sure I've seen all of it. cemetery was very overgrown.

Beautiful walking trails. We went on a crisp sunny autumn day and it really was idyllic! The entrance is steep and parking can be tricky but totally worth it! We brought our dogs and three young children. The pathway is muddy so wear appropriate shoes.

We were able to see a few remains of the town!

lovely trail with gorgeous trees, creek and waterfalls. loved it!

Quite easy. lovely scenery. very busy on a Sunday around noon.

Nice trail... very quiet - probably because of the time of year.. well kept, falls didn’t have much water but a nice place to hang out - esp. for the kids.. it’s an easy trail - saw some families with 4-6yr olds.. lot of people walking their dogs too..

Went during the week and there were still a fair amount of people on the trail in the morning, but didn’t feel overcrowded. Winter Falls is currently dry and Double Falls is barely a trickle. Overall beautiful fall colors and scenery.

Fairly easy trail. The path thins out after the sealed mine shaft and is a little over grown but not too bad. The cemetery was pretty neat. Lots of very old head stones. The gorge trail is fairly steep but someone has made some steps so it's not too terribly bad. Worth the walk to the Green River. The parking area has a lock box with no lock and no envelopes to pay the $5 fee. There is also a box going down the gorge. There was no attendant either. There is a chain linked gate that was open at least by 7am. Overall it's a decent little hike.

Nice walk in the woods on easy trail. The falls would be more impressive earlier in the season I’m sure.

This is a really beautiful and easy hike up to the falls. They're spectacular when you reach them. Saw lots of other people and dogs. The road to the trailhead was okay for my sedan. I was a little worried about the potholes but there were only one or two small ones and nothing too serious.

Such a beautiful hike. I live close by, so I did it in a few sections first. Took my sisters with me once. Then took my husband and we did the full loop last Sunday. He had not been there before. He loved it too! Lots of people later in the day, but most are very friendly.

Love it.

Fantastic hike with one amazing waterfall after another!

Exquisite and idyllic!

Awesome hike!!! Beautiful scenic hike through the forest until you arrive at the gorgeous secluded beach. So glad we made the drive out to it. Really fabulous!

This was an easy hike with gorgeous waterfalls. It can get crowded, especially at the falls that are less than a mile from the trailhead, but the farther away from the trailhead I got the less people I saw.

Not much of a ghost town, but the hike was pretty easy. Option to go short or long distance.

Hiked this trail on Sunday 9/9/18. Started about 2:00 pm and went counter clockwise. Clocked over 9 miles and 1400 feet of elevation gain. The falls are amazing, though a few were dry. Not as many people in the afternoon and going that direction. Make sure you have your Trail app on because some of the trail has no signage. Very well maintained hike with a push toward the end up switchback stairs. Will be back in spring when the water is higher!

Great hike nice and easy!

great hike for the family and dogs

This was a beautiful run to do, definitely stopped a few times to take in the sites, going counterclockwise around the loop, you get the gradual climb done first and then you have a gradual downhill and steep uphill to finish on.

beautiful hike, we ended up doing 10 miles by the time we got back to the car to make sure we saw everything we came to see.
