Very easy “walk in the park” type of trail that was absolutely breath taking! A must see while in Joshua Tree!

Loved this trail as there were a lot of beautiful rock formations and places to explore with my 5 year old.

Once you find the trailhead the trail is well marked. The canyon is lush and beautiful. The last climb to the peak is strenuous but brief so the hike is not too challenging. The views from the peak are beautiful.

You hike to a campground - better trails in the park for sure

A nice out-and-back hike with a little bit of climb. We do this hike once or twice a month. It's right off highway 62, so it's easy to get to the trailhead compared to the trails in JTNP proper. Seeing the tops of the oasis palms in the distance is always a treat after you round the bend. We were once greeted by a view of a family of bighorns feasting on California Barrel Cactus.

Easy hike to get started.

Beautiful and well marked hike! Just pay attention to the stone curbs that guide the way. We did the clockwise loop and enjoyed some fun up and downs on the North View trail with a short side walk up to the expansive Copper Mountain Viewpoint. The variety of plants and rock formations throughout was awesome.

Once back to the Maze Loop, the trail becomes very easy. The east side of the Maze Loop was short but enjoyable, and Window Rock was very obvious from the side trail. The south side of Maze Loop is very wide and sandy, but otherwise the trail was mostly rocky and on solid ground. The last 1.5 miles runs parallel to the road, but the noise isn't too bad. Would totally do again.

Nice hike- not strenuous incline but good distance.

Mellow hike through diverse vegetation and terrain (rocky, sandy, solid). We saw few people and several birds throughout. Cool to see the variety of rock formations and plants in the less windy parts of the trail versus the windward areas. The actual sign says 2.0 miles.

Rewarding and easy one mile hike with lots of different plants. Good signage, though the busy nature of it means that people are all over the place.

Nice and easy trail, and you can connect it with Discovery trail and the Skull Rock trail. Many rocks to climb on along the way!

Many rocks to climb on and beautiful views from the top of them!

Love this trail! Short but a tough hike and run.

Keep going in one direction although there are no markers on your way. Easy hike with no elevation gain but nice rock formations and trees on your way. History of Wall Street Mill makes it an interesting place

An easy going trail in the rocks

Great views, awesome rock formations.

We hiked to the mine and returned. It’s a rocky not well marked trail but a fun hike.

Amazing expansive valley hidden behind the rocks. Knowing that it was created by destroying the rocks and making the passage makes it accessible for trail hikers and also explains how it was hidden for so long. Again. Good opportunity for rock climbers on the way

Very easy hike and nice rock formation. Tip: take picture from left bottom side of rock for best perspective

Good long hike. One challenging part with some switchbacks about 4.5 miles in but otherwise easy/moderate. Definitely a good way to see the many terrains of the Park

Great. Combined with window loop and north canyon loop. Didn’t see another hiker in 4hours! Plan appropriately.

best one mile hike in the world

Great to do something in Yucca Valley. Nice change from our usual lower desert hikes. Nice loop along a ridge line. Joshua trees everywhere! Trail mellow and easy to follow. But, fairly sandy.

Excellent way to start the day! Love the terrain.

Beautiful hike with varied terrain, great views, and almost no one around. Highly recommend!

Fantastic ✨

Well kept trail. Good views of rugged desert terrain. Oasis is cool break. Palms are great.

Wasn’t feelin the vibe; something eerie about this trail.

We went clockwise on the trail because we could. Yes, it’s a little hard on the switch backs but it’s builds endurance. Great view on top
You start around 4000ft . 1150ft elevation gain to of approximately 5150 ft .
