Did this hike in Sept 2018 during a snow storm. It was challenging hike with lots of ice covering the entire trail. Hiking poles would have been a great help. Views from the top are absolutely amazing and worth every bit of it.

Best views in Jasper. 360 of all the mountains ranges around Jasper, all the way to Robson.

Snow adds tine and difficulty. The scramble is large boulders all the way to the summit. With fresh snow not packed between you can easily slip between. Go slow it's worth

Great trail with very rewarding views! Took us 3.5 hours with lots of stops for pictures and a short break at the top.

This is the most difficult hike I have done to date. Would I do it again? Heck yes! Slow and steady will reward you with stunning views. It took me (I would consider myself in good shape but not a hiking pro) two hours to reach the top, where I sat and ate my lunch that I had brought up with me. In totally I spent about 4 hours conquering the sulphur skyline and rewarded myself with a soak in the hot springs afterwards.

Got there 2p.m. in the afternoon. 10KM out and back. Only 2 other people on the top. Super gorgeous. Be sure to check out the hot springs source after your hike.

It get crowded fast, get boots on the ground by 7am to summit by 9am and have the views to yourself. We got there was still a light dusting of snow that had us laying down first tracks... but hordes of people soon followed. Amazing 360 views.
*get up fast and take pics on the way down, same view point

Great hike...uphill all the way...good cardio workout. View from the summit is awesome...360 panoramic view of distant mountains. Trail on the way up has several spots for scenic photos. My wife and I made it to the summit in 2 hrs and back down in about 1 hr with a steady pace each way. It was windy (about 40Km/hr) at the top.

Amazing view at the top!!

Une de mes préférés la vue est incroyable. Se fait très bien.

Great half day hike

this was a short but grueling climb to the top. once you get out of the trees you think theres only a couple hundred meters to go. think again... it was a neverending summit. once at the top, it's a beautiful 360 view.

One of my favorite hikes we did in Banff. The continuous changes in terrain make it constantly exciting. Nice break from all the touristy hikes nearby.

absolutely stunning waterfall on the far side of first lake. this was a very enjoyable hike despite clouds and smoke. will be returning soon. hubby and I were astounded to find hardly any mosquitoes.

Way up was slightly challenging with the view at the top making it 100% worth it!! Would go again, for sure!

Great hike but better with bikes than walking. the last 10 km back walking get too much.

Great 360 view of Jasper and surrounding areas!! It's an amazing hike!

Starts off easy, paved road. then changes to mixture of dirt and rocks. steady uphill, steep in a lot of places. took many many breaks. trail is well outlined. the summit was relief and sense of accomplishment!! very windy at the summit! lots of berries and chipmunks! coming down from the summit was a bit challenging. go EARLY morning when it's cool out. it took us 3 hours to get to the top, I don't have greatest fitness level and my blood sugar gave me numerous issues but chugged along. coming down took 1 hour and 15 mins.
only downside was the smoke from the fires made it hard to see far away but was a very good climb!
go to the hotsprings after!

It took us about 1 hour and 30 min to get to the top in a nice steady pace. View from the top was spectacular.

I recommend to start early it gets pretty crowded as the day goes by and it gets pretty hot too.

Windy at the top so bring a wind stopper.
Hiking poles and hiking boots are recommended.

Excellent views from the top, but most of the hike is unremarkable.

An underrated hike in my opinion. Beautiful falls and you can walk right up to the water in several sections. Highly recommended.

Such a wonderful trail with a wonderful view once you reach the top. A couple nice spots along the way with views and spots to sit and relax for a bit. Recommend hiking poles, especially for the way down. Will absolutely do again when I come back to visit.

Great trail !

Went on my birthday - solo - because I'm the coolest person on Earth. Good thing this is one of the best hikes on Earth. So we have that in common...

Great Hike! The boyfriend and I started at 9 in the morning and we were back down by 12 after having lunch at the summit and taking in the views!

We did this hike without a bike, its doable but takes longer, next time I will bring my bike. Amazing view if you ever make to the top!

I really enjoyed this trail. The views are incredible. There aren't many flat parts but there are plenty of benches and rest areas along the way. Definitely make sure you go all the way to the top once you get above the tree line. The Miette Hot Springs after were a perfect way to unwind

Amazing views, great mix of rock hopping, wooded trails, and scramble! We took our dog and he absolutely loved it. Rock formations are great trail markers and it wasn’t hard to stay on track. Road in is a little sketchy and mosquitos/horseflies were plentiful

Packed in our 11month old. Was absolutely beautiful way to start the day!

Even in the thunderstorm, tons of mosquitoes and packing in a 21lb baby this trail is a beauty. Very few people. Well worth it! We only went to the first falls at the head of the first lake because of time of day but would go back for sure!

Good hike, beautiful views on the mountains :) try bald hills as well if you can
