Beautiful leisurely trail with lots of variety including forest, exposed meadow, and lookout points over the valley and the Athabasca River. Perfect for a quick hike before the drive home

Easy trail with great views. Saw tons of wildlife including goats, chipmunks and even a wolf!

Beautiful lake, friendly people, and most of the time I see wildlife, a nice walking trail.

Really great views!!! Short, and a bit of a steep incline, but worth it! Nice after dinner hike

Great trail. We went at sunset and the views were amazing (plus hardly anyone was around). Whilst up there we saw loads of wildlife (including big horn sheep). Thoroughly recommend.

Love walking the dogs there. I feel safe and easy access. Great views from every angle.

Easy flat walk around a very scenic lake. Great for any skill level, including seniors and kids. Absolutely stunning area!

Great trail with a nice mix of open and scenic areas, and more forested areas too. Open areas tended to have more people around, but didn’t feel crowded. Forested areas were a lot quieter.

Excellent short hike with excellent views of the river.

A great hike when you don't have much time. if you are especially short on time, just go up the stairs and turn around when you reach the summit. There is a second peak just farther on. It has a set of red chairs overlooking the Wildlife Only face of Signal Mountain. well worth sitting in. As most people turn back at the main summit, this a a nice quiet place. Instead of the loop or retracing your steps, head back along the ridge to find a steep and narrow trail taking you back close to the summit. Make noise! It's just the kind of place to find a bear munching away!
Bring your kids. Fort Point is rugged and the summit is rocky. Feels like you are above the tree line.

Nice easy hike. Walked past some big horn sheep near the summit too. Great views looking out over Jasper.

nice easy walk lovely views

Absolutely do this hike if you're in the Jasper area! When you arrive at the parking lot, I would recommend going up the left trail, up a set of stairs. That way it's a very gentle slope up, with gorgeous views all around. 10/10 hike!

We did the loop this morning and it was a wonderful way to start the day. The water was very calm and made for beautiful photos. The trail is paved the entire way so it's very accessible. Keep an eye out for elk, we saw one on our drive in!

Took the steep way first. Signage in the area says that leg of the trail is black diamond rated. Not easy at all, steep, rocky, narrow ridge. Would not recommend taking kids. Worth it though once you get to the top and see the view. Rest of the hike was fairly easy with a beautiful treed trail.

First time was on May 1 2018 and it was a great time. Started the day with overcast but by noon it was 20c and sunny.
Will definitely be back soon.

Short but steep, this hike offers amazing views of the entire valley and Jasper townsite and is a must-see for newcomers and Jasper veterans alike.

Great view of Jasper and Athabaskan River

This was a quick after dinner hike for me one night. I went the 'long' way and wound up taking the steep way back instead of up. Worth it for the amazing views.

Its not an easy trail. The view is very good, but be careful as there are long steep ways up and walking by the side of a cliff. Don't go with kids or unprepared!!

Good steep climb and amazing 360 views from the top!

This hike is great for a quick and dirty trip. Go up the steep incline first and the rest is all downhill from there. So much wildlife laying around. Great views from the top of the whole valley. The diversity of the trail from the top to the bottom is a nice change of pace!

Did this in late April, so there was a lot of ice and snow (wear cleats if during the winter), but it was a great short hike with very pretty views of the park surrounding Jasper. There were even some cute red lounge chairs at the top for you to bask in it's glory (but you have to walk off trail to find them). We even saw some wildlife. Great hike!
