It’s hard but worth it,

Be sure to go down through queens garden then up Wall Street. In the summer queens garden is fully exposed to the sun and no fun to go up while going up wall street is primarily shaded

1st time hiking in Sedona and absolutely loved the hike and views! It was challenging in parts, but very well worth the climb! beautiful view at top and great opportunity for photos.

Amazing hike through the slot canyons and a great view at the top. The canyon can be narrow at times so you have to watch your footing on the way down to avoid possibly twisting an ankle. Was hard not to take a lot of photos!

Fantastic hike!

Absolutely incredible trail. We had to wait a little while at the entrance as they limit the number of people on the trail. During the drive in we saw a tarantula making it's way across the road. The trail starts off easy and gradually becomes more narrow. It was very crowded, even on a Friday morning. You'll have to stop often to let people pass. The formations are amazing, as well as the trees that grow in the canyon. The rocks against the blue sky is breathtaking. Towards the end of the Slot Canyon Trail, the climb becomes tougher, there is some scrambling and actual climbing. The 360° view on top is absolutely incredible and worth the climb. Bring water, there is no shade and since it is so dry, you will need it. I highly recommend this trail!

So scenic!!! I advise sturdy hiking boots though. Saw an injury and too many people hiking in shoes that could easily cause a fall or ankle twist.

Difficult for the first 2 miles but well worth the views the rest of the way down. Eldon Lookout trail is washed out higher up. I lost the trail for a minute. Once at the top I changed into a sweatshirt and beanie as temperatures were very cold. The north side of Mt Eldon were slick with snow/ice from recent snowfall. Once I started to drop in elevation the sweatshirt and beanie went back into the backpack. Excellent views from the whole way down.

How to get your kids into hiking.

Slot Canyon trail was excellent. I went early (arrived around 0845) and was glad I did. 35 degrees when I started and 74 degrees by the time I finished. Some parts of the slot canyon really only allow for one way traffic so I’m glad I really only had to deal with the heavier foot traffic on my way down. A bit steep near the top, but the views are worth it! Bring hand sanitizer in case there isn’t anymore left in the bathroom at the trailhead.

Solid hike that's a great workout. Beautiful scenery that changes as you go up. It was perfect weather and even some ice as we reached the top, but nothing to wear you would need any traction attachments. If you're used to hiking, try this one out. My phone clocked 10 miles total, but it's a little bit of a walk to get to the actual trailhead. Great views of the canyon and of Albuquerque along the way.

4 hours up and 2.25 hours down. Beautiful scenery, nice trail, not for the faint hearted.

The best of Bryce Canyon... We only did half the hike due to limited daylight. This is a nice hike but WHAT an incredible Nat’l Park to begin with- so unique! Went in April, still snow there but the weather was great for a moderate hike. The hoodoos can get repetitive and sometimes you’ve gotta really stretch to find what your looking for (the queen) but it’s fun to do along the way.

Just over an hour up and down. the temperature was cool with a little rain so that probably helped a lot, I can't imagine how hot it must get when the temperature is high!
On the way down, we went left - Templeton to Baldwin Loop and it turned into an 11 km hike and a great day in the beautiful mountains of Sedona! highly recommend this hike!

Did this hike to the end of the trail - we are 50+ and probably only in average physical shape!
What a view, totally worth the huffing and puffing!
This is one of the most spectacular views and a great reward for your labor.
Just do it!

Great, easy trail, steep at the end but not for long. Took two hours total to go up to the peak, relax for a bit, then make our way down and around the cave loop. Only issue is the narrow trail through the slot canyon slows you down when you meet traffic.

amazing natural formations. easy hike with amazing views at the end.

Great hike but not dog friendly unless you have a hardness. Our lab is a great hiker but steep slick rocks are impassable for dogs

It’s amazing to see the rock natural formations shaped like tents. Make sure to stop by the visitor center. We did not get to complete the whole hike as it was raining and the water was gushing through the canyon. Will surely be back to complete the hike.

This is a short hike but it is a good workout hike because it has lots of elevation gain. I recommend starting this hike before 6 AM in the summer because it heats up quickly at this elevation.

Great hike with great views. Get there early or go on a less busy week. Long lines to get into the park. We waited about an hour to get in. Once you are in the foot traffic wasn’t too bad as the rangers limit the amount of people allowed in the park at one time. Took us about 3 hours to hike both trails, stopping for photos and to take in the views. Defiantly planning on returning during a less busy week.

Outstanding hike & epic views. Be sure to set your intentions before your hike . Apparently the vortex energy balances oneself . We started at Crescent moon park . Approximately 8.1 miles . Not too difficult but be sure to wear a trail runner or a shoe with good tread to prevent slippage when climbing near the peak ! Sooooo fun !!!!!

This hike is definitely in my top 5 hikes in the US. Like others have posted, there are parts that reminded me of Zion. The hike is relatively short (3 miles). It took us an hour in and an hour out. The short detour to the Cave is nice, and a lot less crowded. It won't take you much longer to do both, as the Cave trail circles back around and ends up right at the parking lot. Go early!!! We we arrived right at 9:00 am. and were able to get right in. By the time we left, shortly after 11, cars were backed way up at the gate--probably a 2 hour wait in your car, as they limit traffic on the trails. The slot canyons were filling up with people, making it difficult to navigate our way down. I cannot imagine what they would have been like hours later. Also, if you have never experienced a slot canyon, don't forget to look up! Everyone always seems to forget that. Take the time to look up and back going through the slots. You will be glad you did!

Best hike I've ever been on

Beautiful views amazing formations. A definite must.

Amazing hike but difficult. We started on Baldwin Trailhead for about 30 minutes then about 45 minutes to the top of Cathedral. Amazing and worth the hike.

this is a hard trail and can be slippery if not wearing appropriate footwear. the hike is worth the effort as the views at the top are amazing!

I was really surprised on the canyon portion of the trail. It is so deep and narrow it reminds you of Zion. Also the hike is easy enough and short enough to do in just a couple hours, but provides so many beautiful scenes along the way, including magnificent panoramas of New Mexico and the American west from the top
