Hiked on Sunday Jan 13. Arrived late around 10:30am and parked at high school. Not much to see on the way up - it’s a well-maintained trail with some traffic but not too crowded. Great workout, definitely on the moderate side as it gets steep 1/3 of the way in. The reward at the top is worth it - beautiful views surround you and everyone is basking in the sun and enjoying the scenery. Wonderful place to relax and eat lunch. Also saw a paraglider take off! Some parts of the trail were slightly muddy or had downed trees to climb over/under, but nothing strenuous aside from the climb up.

Difficult hike in my opinion. Crazy good workout, was drenched in sweat by the time I reached the point. There are two ways to reach Poo point, Chirico trail is one of them. There’s a high steep level for the most part. You would get to hear traffic for the first 1/2 mile, then it’s peaceful till the Poo Poo point. Amazing views of Mt Rainer! No para gliding in winter, was so looking forward to the views I read about in reviews.

Great view. You might even catch someone jumping off!

Hiked it this morning and the only issue was about 7-8 fallen trees from the wind storm on 1/6/19. Some of them are big enough that you can't crawl under them but you can barely go over!

The snow started about 2/3 of the way up and gets thicker and thicker, but the trail is fairly clear with just some muddy spots. Probably around 3-4 inches total once you're at the top. If you start at Issaquah High School you can see the school from the summit which is pretty great.

Only a handful of other people on the trail today!

We lucked out and didnt have any rain while we hiked, but if it did I can see a lot of spots were one might slip easily. The view from the top is totally worth it! We parked by the high school, but there is a max of 7 cars that can park there.

Nice trail, easily found route, fun rocks, waterfall and amazing moss on the trees. Great way to start the New Year! Good for kids too...

Great way to end 2018. Not crowded and weather great. Not sure what the correct distance is BUT MapmyRun said 3.07 miles OW (which made the most sense). Definitely NOT 3.8 miles or more one way. Like this longer distance alternative to the shorter steeper Chirico Trail.

Nice hike. The Talus Rocks section is pretty wild so it's sometimes hard to tell if you're on a trail. The reward was a beautiful waterfall. Try it in the wet season.

Good hike but view a little disappointing

After a moderate uphill climb that got the whole family huffing, the trail flattens out and leads to a really neat and fun collection of huge boulders that the kids really enjoyed climbing around and exploring for a bit while us parents rested. Gorgeous views especially as you get higher up the hillside.

Way too crowded, especially just trying to park. Views at the top are spectacular and lucky you if there are paragliders at the top. Maybe try to go on an off day to avoid lots of people.

We decided to explore out here today, starting from the Nook Trail. We made it to the rocks which looked amazing but then for some reason we felt like we veered off of the loop so we decided to return the same way instead of completing the full loop. I’ll try this one again for sure on a warmer day - we would have been more willing to explore further if it had been springtime or if we had seen more people out and about.

Butt kicker! Thighs & glutes callin! Awesome!
The view at the top is speechless on a good clear day! One of my fav local hikes

nice hike with beautiful views..

This hike starts out really steep and you wonder if you'll ever make it, but it's fairly short so by the time you get done, you're like oh, that's it? The app said there was a view, and there wasn't, but it's really pretty scenery all the way up and down. (trickling streams, bridges, mossy boulders, ferns galore)

amazing view in the top.

nothing spectacular about this hike, parking area is packed crowds galore, summit is not much view either there is restrooms at the top, prolly wont hike this again

Beautiful view at top. Moderate difficulty, short and sweet, shaded hike, not too much variety in scenery along hike.

Absolutely beautiful trail.

When i came back to my car they had broken the window. I had nothing of value in the car. Maybe leave your doors unlocked? I will not be back.

Great sunrise hike yesterday. Started at 6 am no one else on the hike up & at the top.

Lots of dogs and kids on the trail. Can watch the paragliders as they go down. The first half is lots of rocks and stones so watch your step if it’s been raining. Nice views at the top. Took us 1hr to get up and 45 to get down, under 4 miles total. Good afternoon hike.

Beautiful trail, awesome view!

took the dog on this route today, go early on the weekends the parking area was filled by 8am when we arrived and there was groups of 3-5 on way back down after 10am the crowds get insane took twice as long to get down then go up, but good hike for a early morning hike and back around 1pm

we did the route today with the dog, was muddy being shoes with good tread as not to slip, long waits for lines of hikers literally lines of 5-10 people at about 9am, if you hike before 8am you should be ok. trail was nice being trekking poles

Started from the high school, went to Poo Poo Point and back. The trail was well maintained and had a couple really good climbs.

Got to the trailhead a little after noon and the lot was full but there really weren’t many people on the trail. If the weather is nice you’ll likely see some paragliders landing at the trailhead. Beautiful view of the surrounding area and Mt Rainer at the first clearing and I’d recommend going up to the second clearing (Poo Poo Point) to get a view of Cougar Mtn and Lake Sammamish. Super short trail - only took us a little over an hour going up with a few breaks and probably 45 min going down at the most.

Really good hike. Kid friendly and good balance is sun and shade.

Went on a Saturday and expected to see a lot of people, but it really wasn’t too bad, though the lot was full. The trail is nice and clear. It is incline the whole way, but it is short, and there are places to pull over and rest. The view from the top is wonderful. What a great way to spend and afternoon!
