Ireland Map

Beautiful views of waterfall and wildlife.

Great walk. Worth it for the view. Amazing vista of Killarney and the lakes from the top. Very doable. Take your time. it will pay off at the top.

Absolutely breathtaking, not too difficult! Should be at the top of everyone's bucket list, so much to do and see around Killarney aswell

Be aware that during rainy times some trails can be blocked to protect the public from falling stone due to erosion... how ever the walk on the cliff should be fine and always safe .
Amazing spectacular point of views.
Even if its very touristic as soon as you start to hike around it gets better as people usually just checks out the main rocks at the entrance.

Beautiful walk

One of the best hikes I’ve ever done!

This hike was incredible.

The trails are confusing, so hopefully I can help a bit. The trail shown on the above map is if you walk from the town if Killarney. If you drive to the upper lot of the falls, you have a few options.
Torc Mountain Waterfall has 3 main routes.
Yellow (easy/shortest)
Blue (moderate)
Red (longest and most difficult)
I did the red, which also includes part of the yellow and blue.
Red is a 3 mile loop that took me about and hour and 20 minutes (with photo stops). It is a big downhill potion towards the lake, then you follow the lake for a bit, then you hit the locally named “Cardiac Steps”. It is about 1 mile of straight up, switchback, rock staircase. I am from Colorado, USA and these are steep. Many steps were at knee height.
After that you follow the ridge back to the car lot. Incredible views (I could not have asked for a clearer day) shady most of the way, and absolutely breathtaking.
One of the most beautiful hikes I’ve ever done. Unfortunately you cannot summit from here, you have to do the Torc Mountain trail for that, but you get plenty high!

Sadly too crowded, but well worth the view. Bring warm clothes because the whether change rapidly, high winds coming from North sea. Really nice spot.

Fabulous site and view, easy walk, eye candy.

Very easy but absolutely stunning! We go down via the sand dunes now and a handy walk back.

Beautiful forest and trails past the Torc Waterfall.

Loved this walk. Wasn't much of a hike except once into the island past the rope bridge there were some rocks to climb. But nonetheless an amazing place to wonder and explore. Some amazing panoramic views! So much to take in!

This trail is absolutely beautiful, especially for someone like me who's not used to seeing so much greenery. Once you get to the Torc Waterfall, which is about 5 minutes from the car park, you can choose 1 of 3 paths: blue, yellow, or red. I did most of the blue path, which is considered the "moderate" one, and takes about an hour. The red is hard and takes you all the way up Torc Mountain. For the blue trail, it's only a little steep from the waterfall until the paths split, then it's easy and gorgeous. It crosses over the road, so you can continue along Muckross Lake. Unfortunately, the weather was slightly rainy when I went, so I didn't get to see the amazing views that these trails are known for. But it's still gorgeous scenery and so peaceful.

This path along the water was breathtaking. It's a fairly easy hike, very doable. It is mostly riddled with tourists but we'll worth the views overlooking the water and rope bridge.

Beautiful hike, and worth it to get away from the crowds. Be careful in the rain- steps can be slippery!

little walk with huge views.

Beautiful views from the top of the cliff. The lower trail is littered with tourists but if you take the higher trail further you can get away from all that.

Amazing geological formations!

The Giant's Causeway is well-worth seeing (and you don't have to pay the admission fee if you just walk straight past the visitors' centre). Walk on the rocks and really appreciate how incredibly weird they are. I highly recommend continuing on the trail. The 162 steps may seem like a lot, but you get a great view of the coast and you'll get to see the Causeway from directly above.

A beautiful scenic walk along the Antrim Coast and an exciting crossing of the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. Highly recommend if you're in the area--one of my favorite parts of my trip to Northern Ireland.
