I really enjoy visiting here

This trail is cool.

fun place! wish the trails we're marked better, but otherwise they are very well maintained.

For being in Indianapolis, the trails are decent, but not nearly as good as Eagle Creek or Fort Harrison. Mosquitoes are a very real problem here. In the winter months it is kind of nice, but in the summer it is virtually impossible because of the mosquitos. So in the winter, if it is close to home, I recommend it. I definitely would not travel over 20 minutes to get here. There are much better alternatives.

Rode the Front Loop this morning. Great beginner trail for mountain biking. Packed dirt, sand and boardwalk with some roots for interest. Good place to learn with some options to make it more difficult as desired. Take a picture of the map or use the AllTrails recording to keep yourself on the right trail.

Really nice hike for central Indiana. Would certainly do again.

They are currently expanding the trails here to make the course longer. When I wanted to get in some Vertical this is where I would go! The description says 2.1 miles but you can run the MTB part which connects the two trails to make it a lot longer and more difficult.

Did an overnighter on this trail for a bachelor party. Good trail to hike. Saw a few mountain bikers on our hike out. The leaves were still thick on the trees so we couldn’t enjoy some of the views others posted about. Overall a good trip. The map shows streams close by: don’t rely on that for water. Pack it in.

We did a hike here. Trails are confusin to follow. This was fine though because they all seem to loop back. I think this would be more fun on a bike. I am from Seattle and normally hike in the mountians, so may have had too high expectations. there just wasn't much to see and mosquitoes were really bad by the water.

I really enjoyed my walk through this park. It was well worth the $5 entry fee. It sports a beautiful reservoir for fishing and has a nice campground for those that choose to stay a day or two.

I came on a late September afternoon. Low 70’s, sunny, and a gentle breeze-perfect for a quick hike. Wish I could have gone all the way around but only had the time and inclination to walk 4 miles or so.

My only complaints are that the trail was a bit tight in a few places and the road noise from county roads was a bit distracting. I was surprised to find no other hikers or bikers. I only met a whitetail deer, squirrels, Canada geese, and of course, crows.

Muddy in some spots, not too many people, lots of nature

I live in Michigan City and there's no good mountain biking trails there, but this is well worth the 25 minute drive. The Outback trail is pretty cool, with lots of forks in the road with one being the easier path and one being the harder path.

Slightly overgrown. Lots of spider webs and chiggers.

Not a bad hike, just uneventful. Upkeep not great.

A pretty decent trail system given the area. The Dark side loop can be difficult to navigate because it's not always clear which way to go, but if you don't mind exploring a little it pays off. It offers a nice challenge and will push the limits for newer riders. If you ride all the loops it's just under 7 miles. The newly redesigned roller coaster hill is a blast! Ride safe, guys!

Great trail for running. Very challenging. Yes...I can understand how it may be hard to figure out and somewhat confusing but just stay on the trail and it will take you from beginning to end.
MOST forks are labeled “More Difficult” or “Most Difficult”. The latter is an off-trail “loop” that will eventually drop you back off on the main trail.
If you run/hike/ride all the trail and loops you’re looking at a solid 7+ Miles. And that’s just on the Dark Side...more presently known as the Outback Loop now.
Again. Very challenging for any activity.

Great for a run! Brush can get a little grown-in.

Luv it here. My bike luvs it here. Good equipment is needed. Real singletrack. I recommend GU :)

Would be so much better if trails were color coded.

Lots of trails to choose from.

First, this place is huge, I’ve went twice already and still have been everywhere. The trails are not marked very well at all but I enjoy just walking wherever my curiosity leads me and I have a good enough sense of direction that it’s not a problem for me to find my way back. You also get cell signal so you can just mark your car on maps and follow that back if you need the extra help.
I went on a Thursday morning and only saw two other people walking and one biker. I then went on a Saturday morning and holy hell it was busy and there were so many bikers. The trail gets narrow in parts so this makes navigating bikers tricky at times. I wouldn’t go back on a weekend.

I'm not sure if these directions are correct. The trail they take you to is so overgrown. I thought people pay to get into Indiana state parks/forests? What does Indiana use that money for?

This was a great trail despite some areas in need of maintenance. We completed the full 10 miles in approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes. Like many others have said, the trail is well marked, provides great views, and is in the shade the majority of the time. Exposed roots and fallen branches are concerning if trail running. The point of the trail for us was to get some mileage and climbs in before a trip to Arizona, and this trail provided that for us. Will definitely come back.

Very nice back country trail. Can be overgrown in the summer. Bring your own water or filter.

Amazing trails to run, hike, and take dogs on! Gorgeous views, right near the White River and an amazing playground. 5/5 stars.

It was nice only concern was alot of the trails just came to an end with no signs telling you which way to go for those of us from out of state it was a pain, otherwise is was nice.
