It says for the very experience but I was able to do so quite well on it and I am about moderately experienced. I loved it. The prettiest I have seen in a long time

Well marked trails, especially because as you enter the park (and pay $9 if you’re from out-of-state), you get a trail map. You can choose how long/short you want to hike. Nice stretches of shade and sun. A little buggy. Trails were well maintained.

on Trail #3

Trail 3 is absolutely beautiful. The rock formations are huge and keep the air cool even on hot days. We hiked almost the entire trail. The description is hard but our 11, 8 and 4 year olds did fine on it for the most part. I opted to avoid the ladders by connecting with trail 10 for the last part of the trail. My husband and 8 year old did the ladders with no problem.

None gorge section is easy-moderate. Gorge section is not difficult but very rugged. Went with my 11 year old daughter without much trouble. We descended the gorge but plan on ascending the gorge the next time around to make it more challenging. Watch your footing while hiking. Many loose rocks and logs. Only hike with 10+ year old child with them following your lead. Overall would rate moderate trail with rugged sections. Definitely worth it and would recommend if you are even out of shape like myself.

This is one of my favorite trails, thus far. We hit this trail on a Wednesday in June, after a morning of Kayaking. The trail was not overly crowded, but we did pass by a few hikers along the way. This is an adventurous trail. We started by going to the right, causing us to climb down the ladders, but we enjoyed this direction because we got to climb up the cascades. I would highly recommend this trail to anyone looking for an interesting hike. My husband has never pulled out a camera on a hike, but he did on this trail! We will do this again.

Good hike for the Midwest. Some elevation change below sea level made it a lot more interesting than I would have thought. Overall, relatively easy trail and a recommended trail for beginners and up. When sunny, trail 3 can be extremely scenic.

Beautiful views along the way. Waterfall was a lighter flow than what I was expecting. But still very peaceful, not a crowded trail.

I only hiked a small portion of the 10 loop, but did hike all of trail 9. The first half of the 9 loop is pretty easy and mostly flat. The second half turns toward the lakeshore which is where the climb begins. Impeccable views and well worth the trek. Moderate to somewhat challenging depending on fitness/mobility.

Easy, but a very nice hike and trail!

Easy trail, I recommend the years pass for 50..... you can explore the trails often and visit other Indiana parks.

fun, really cool spots

fun, had a lot of cool spots

beautiful place to get away from it all.

Pure awesome is what to expect from this trail. It has a lot to offer. The hills are of adequate size to present some challenge. The trees are beautiful and most of the hike is in the shade. There are several creek crossings but with a little effort you can keep your boots dry. The falls is fun. After ending up there the first day we found it so enjoyable we returned on the second day to cool off in the water. We decided that we would buy water shoes to put in our packs for walking on rocky creek bottoms. Remember to apply bug spray with Deet, pack water, and wear good quality hiking shoes.

Been here several times always enjoy it, lots of wildlife as well as a variety of plants to discover here. Love hiking by the water.

We hiked this trail on a sunny Saturday. Trail #3 is a great trail with lots of fun features like the ladders and the creek beds. Trail #3 was crowded but you have to expect that on a summer Saturday. It does have the advantage for much of the trail of being below ground and more moderate in temperature. It was a bit steamy outside so this was appreciated. Trail #9 is less crowded. It does have many stair you have to descend and then climb back up. Turkey Run is a great place to hike with many fun trails. We love to go here.

Great trail with beautiful views of the lake.

Cool gorge. Waterfall was all but dried up. TON of spider webs

Nice loop.. Pretty rugged at some place. Nice fun

Very good

Been going here for years and it's still one of my favorite places to go in the Southern Indiana Area! Very nice and peaceful place to go and get away from people for a day or two!

Loved it! Very kid friendly!

This whole park is amazing, but this was my favorite of the 4 trails I did today, fun obstacles! Did with my dog.

Went hiking here and was first disappointing because there was hardly any water at the falls. We left to get something to eat and it had rained really hard. Went back later to trail 5 at tunnel falls and was just looking at it with a little bit of water flowing. Then out of nowhere I heard a loud noise and water from the creek started roaring down the falls. It was amazing and breathtaking. The falls became powerful in a matter of seconds. It was one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen! You have to see the falls after a good storm to really appreciate it.

Best hike at Turkey Run. Started this hike when daughters were 5 and 7 - no problems.

My boyfriend and I went the other week and had a blast. Route 3 has the waterfall and has very beautiful scenery! We ended up finding alternative ways to get around obstacles in our way to make it a harder hike. It took us around 2 hours and had a lot of fun.

All of Turkey Run is great, but trail 3 is my family’s favorite. You may get your feet wet, but it’s so worth it. You climb lots of stairs and a couple ladders, and you have to duck-walk through a canyon at one point. It’s challenging and beautiful. Love the waterfalls and canyons.

Love the hiking here!

Beautiful & just the right length to take my mom on her first hike. Most beautiful after a rainfall so one can see the waterfall in action.

The canyons were amazing! We had a lovely hike!
