If you like waterfalls - this isn’t to be missed.

It is hard to tell where to go once the path narrows about 1/3 of the way in. We walked around the houses on the road(following hand written signs) up to the falls but then walked along the river all the way back to the car. It is worth the hike . Plan on walking through quite a lot of mud.

Beautiful waterfall. Slippery walking. Three women slipped just walking to get to the waterfall. Wear decent shoes.

Tourist overlook of a big waterfall and gorgeous canyon. Short walk, lots of crowds, long drive, but free.

Easy hike. Follow the river along past the private sign. There is one fall you will get to, keep going to the larger falls. Absolutely stunning and BRIGHT BLUE. There are two trails in parallel along the river one closest to river is wetter. The are both close together! Pick the more bushy one or the more wet one. Amazing scenery of the mountains! Do this walk!

Beautiful falls and easy walk

This is a must-see waterfall, especially while traveling in Iceland's famous Golden Circle. This is an easy short walk with spectacular rewards!

One of my favorite waterfalls in Iceland! Powerful and tons of rainbows

Þórsmörk is a amazing hiking area

Very nice waterfall but it became quite touristic the last years

Impressive waterfall, easy walk. And you can get right up to it. I imagine it would be beautiful in winter with all the ice.

Nice hike to a beautiful waterfall. And not very busy. The trail is wrong, since you actually have to make a detour via the small town, since the trail shown would lead over private property. So it is roughly 500 m longer each way.

this has been my favorite hike so far. no one was on the trail, excluding the horses, and the view was amazing. trail gets very muddy.

Not so much a trail, per se, as an overlook. Path is heavily maintained and many tourists are around. Short and easy. The views are great, of course.

Very crowded but so many beautiful views.

The trail is nice and short, and the waterfall at the end is so great!

Hard to find waterfalls, I saw people taking multiple trails to it. Very secluded, cool little trail to the waterfall. The waterfall itself isn’t huge but quite interesting. Worth a quick stop if you can find the trail. I ended up having to under a wire fence so probably wasn’t the best route. Hard to tell what’s private land and what’s public access.

Beautiful and extreme wind conditions!

Amazing waterfall. Pictures can’t do it justice.

The rating is for the waterfall...it is simply amazing.

The waterfall(s) are beautiful and awe inspiring. That being said, the Thingvallar / Geysir / Gulfoss triumvirate was underwhelming. Probably not worth a full day in the car. If we were to do the ring road again (and we were looking for natural beauty and hiking throughout the trip), we'd skip this day and spend more time along the south coast / glaciers.

Easy, beautiful hike, well with the views. Gets pretty busy with tourists as it is a very popular site, would recommend going during off-peak hours.

Amazing! A must see, very very windy when I was there. The lower trail to get close to the falls was closed when I was there but it did not in any way ruin the experience. I am a slender 230 pounds of solid love and jelly donuts but the wind was even making me hold onto the rails! Secure your head and eye wear at this place or you may lose it.
