I would not rate this as “hard”, more like “moderate” to me. I went in the Fall. Very few people and gorgeous views.

Very nice and easy trail. Hiked it in the rain and had no issues although the paths that are not covered were very muddy. Not really scenic but the trail itself is great to hike on.

Great hike!

Nice hike. Quietly tucked away. Can be busy on early fall days. View from tower is a great place to catch sunset.

aka Polk Kames trail. Nice views, some of which are only seen off-trail. "Lake" is more of a series stagnant marshes, which certainly contributes to the bugs. (Much worse at dusk/dark.) Terrain is easier than Pike Lake and benches are well-placed. Old fence lines abound.

Great trail. Classic Wisconsin. Bluffs, meadows, rolling trails

Nice trail for a short hike. Relatively flat, alternating between open farmland and shady forest. Easy to find the trailhead. Also, several benches at intervals along the trail which made for great spots to take a quick break!

Great hike. Hiked in 3 miles and turned back to car. Trail is marked well and easy to navigate. Definitely signs of bear in the area, but did not have an encounter. I will most certainly visit this again when i have the time to do the whole route.

Good Sunday stroll. Entered from Highway H heading north where there is a pump for water and ate lunch at one of the shelters.

Easy trail. Nothing to it. A few places of elevation but after awhile you don’t even notice. I hiked the entire loop trail in about an hour and a half or less. Appropriate for jogging.

Beautiful wooded trail, I enjoyed every minute of it.

A little icy and dreary on a chilly December day, but still pretty views and well-maintained trail. Nice to see they are doing a good job to prevent erosion too!

love this trail

The trail cuts through fields of tall grass, marsh and forests. Prepare yourself for stunning views! What a beautiful trail! Info: the loop doesn't take place until the trail crosses a road. At the end of the loop there is a small walk down the road to find the place where you would have originally crossed. This trail is so worth it! 8.1 miles. I was exhausted!

Hiked in fall & was way less buggy! Only made it 20 minutes this time without being attacked by every bug imaginable ): Saw baby frogs so that was the highlight.

Beautiful wooded trail that's accessible for all skill levels. Took my very pregnant sister with me, and she was fine with everything except large staircases.

Nice hike with lots of wildlife. The deer let me walk within 10 feet of them. There is a good mix of open grassed areas and wooded hills. The view from the Observation Deck and really nice. Not a hard hike but worthwhile.

I don't know if I would necessarily categorize this as difficult. It seemed more like a moderate hike to me. Other than that, it was a beautiful hike!

Nice view of the Marsh.

Great green up. Wildflowers along trail. Recent prescribed burn. A group of turkey vultures circling overhead.

We a great time hiking between the kames with our dogs. The song birds and frogs singing made it very peaceful.

Great place near Milwaukee. However, be sure to do a tick check on you & especially your dog - every time we go to Lapham Peak our dog gets several ticks on him. This is true of any woodsy hiking area, but more so for Lapham Pk it seems.

Very nice half day hike trail

Not really an easy hike due to the elevation change. It was enjoyable.

Nice trail, well marked and maintained. Pretty easy going with some nice inclines to give you a little workout. The observation deck was great, you gst there about half way through the loop.

Exceptionally maintained trail. Just follow the yellow markers. Sections of the trail can be dewy, wear waterproof boots. No fallen trees or obstacles. Relaxing stroll in alternating woods and prairie. Beautiful rolling hills with Sandhill cranes. Look for Indian pipe and puffball fungus. Somewhat lacking a commanding view, and occasionally hear what sounded liking hunting rifles. Mosquitos were significant.

Roughly 8 miles through the lower part of the "North" Kettle Moraine forrest. A good hike with plenty of up and downs, fortunately, the last .5 mile is downhill to the parking area and trail head.
