Beautiful hike! Could be a bit challenging for those not wanting to walk on a log to cross a small stream but aside from that the hike was flawless. A must when visiting Mt. Hood.

Watch out for dog poop on the trail! It was kind of a bummer to have to be more aware of piles of poo than actually enjoying the scenery around. Overall, it's a beautiful tiny hike!

Pretty steep most of the way up. Beautiful views of mount Jefferson at the top. Be aware there is a lot of damaged area from wildfires.

This is a beautiful hike and can be family/dog friendly. The water is SO blue and both waterfalls are absolutely stunning. Sahalie falls is very easy to access and it’s a short walk from the parking lot. The fall colors were in full effect when I did this hike & it’s beautiful. The hike itself is mostly flat.

Highly trafficked place, many varieties of people... I went twice at night and once in the day. Seeing it in the light was so disgusting that I will never go back (and I am not a germaphobe). It is a beautiful place but it is ruined by the amount of people that flock to it. Road to hot springs is very pot holy, high clearance vehicle recommended but not needed.

the trail was really nice and our dogs loved it ! wide path !

My brother & I hiked this trail and it was yet another GREAT and WORTHY hike for sure.
There are some pretty AWESOME views on the way to the ASTOUNDING looking waterfall and is also a very good hike because the journey back has different views and is a different cool trail because it's a loop hike.

P.S. There are some GNARLY potholes on the way to the parking spot but as long as your aware of how and where your driving even a compact car like mine is able to make it without damaging your vehicle.

Nice walk along mostly gravel path.

Beautiful hike and fairly easy. Ramona falls is gorgeous and a lot bigger that expected. Highly recommended.

Went in middle October. The leaves were changing and just gorgeous.

First of all, what the sh*t Nancy. Dropping a trail's rating just because you don't know how to Google or call a ranger station is BS. (Referencing the below review).

This is an awesome trail with excellent payoff for moderate work. There is a primitive campsite up there too, but no campfires especially right next to the burned area! Next time Im tempted to hike in my gear and stay the night! World class views of Hood, Three Fingered Jack and South Sister, and obviously Mt Jefferson taking point and center. The cave was an awesome added bonus, you must follow literally foot prints and somewhat of a trail downhill through the burned area after passing through the campsite. Be careful as its slippery. The trail all around was enough to feel accomplished but also easy enough to not feel ragged. I started around 430pm and was back to the car at 730pm after watching the sunset from the summit. Total distance on my pedo said just under 6 miles.

Pretty hike. Several beautiful waterfalls. Shaded so good for a hot Summer day. We had a group ranging in age from 13 to 55. Hike was enjoyed by all.

Very picturesque and mild hike. The elevation climb was gradual that it felt very easy. It was an overcast day so we kept a good pace. The river crossing was easy since the water was low. The falls were smaller than I imagined but still quite beautiful.

Awesome trail along the river with fantastic views of rapids and waterfalls. One side of the loop is developed, most likely from CCC crews, with log fences and a couple of observation points. The less developed side of the loop is more picturesque. Fall colors were out in full force. A beautiful hike. It took us two hours because we took so many pictures.

I’ve done this twice now. It’s a pretty trail no matter what time of year. WALK ON THE GRAVEL ROAD UNTIL YOU SEE A BRIDGE TO THE RIGHT. I see many people getting lost on the off spurt trails. Dog friendly, not a hard trail either. The gravel road is more tiring than the actual trail. Lots of cool history as well.

Had the place to myself today! Got there early and it was raining but I loved it. Got slightly confused with parts of the trail but figured it out. One of my new favorite hikes! Good for all skill levels. There's two ways to go in. I went on the trail on the right. The foliage was beautiful.

Awesome for family spent a long time here, great meander through the woods. Snuck down to the river- lots of surface action. Grabbing rod.

so worth it

Fun hike this summer. The fall's were worth it. Just remember to get your trail use permit. I didn't know the US Forest Service was requiring them and got a $5 warning ticket!

beautiful! I was lucky enough to go at an unbusy time.

Awesome hike, forest is green and luscious. Hike was good, and weather was perfect. no rain, mud or snow.(even had first time hikers with us and everyone made it up and down) fall was an incredible sight. 100% must see. Falls flowing. We saw folks with dogs, children and bikes.

Beautiful hike!!

A day hike that is not to be missed! The loop is more likely a 3-mile trek, but every step is worth it. The loop takes you around 3 very accessible and spectacular falls. You’ll get to see each from multiple angles and you can get surprisingly close to the edges, so caution is needed. For groups with little ones, less mobility or less time, stay on the near side and go south (go left downhill from the parking lot) and you will see all 3 falls in a half mile stretch. Well worth the short detour off of highway 20.

I would like to go but I do not see any roads to get there. How is this accessed?

A long but very easy doable hike. I definitely suggest completing the loop, because the way back is a lot prettier and more exciting IMO. Use caution when crossing the river, there was a decent log for crossing, but water was flowing too hard to walk through. Use discretion about bringing your dog(s)! With no bridge they either have to walk through the river or cross a log, which the water was too fierce for the poor Shepherd I saw be forced across by his owner, and was very scared. The stream is lower and less fierce when it hasn’t been raining as well as earlier in the AM. A beautiful waterfall and peaceful place to sit and enjoy. Definitely a great hike for a cloudy day when Mt Hood isn’t visible or anyway!

The falls were beautiful and enormous! Short, easy hike and I would 100% recommend the hike to anyone.

Beautiful short easy hike - the lower falls are gorgeous and since it’s end of September- can only imagine how full they are in the spring . The fall colors of the vine maple against the black lava/obsidian is breathtaking...Definitely coming back!
