Beautiful hike, crowded at 7am. Walked it with our cat, don’t forget your discovery pass! There is also a pull off on the road immediately before the trail parking lot (if coming west from Seattle) that saves you about a mile of hiking.

Perfect hike with family to get feel for great NW.

Easy with kids! Wish we had packed a picnic!

Hike is okay. The view is nothing spectacular up top. When I got back at 10am Sunday, the parking lot was full, so get there early.

Great trail to the waterfall. Show up early and it's not bad.

Much more enjoyable than the zoo at Snoqualmie Falls.

First hike in the PNW and although it was great to get out... this hikes “work to reward” (views) ratio was lackluster.

Took this hike with my very athletic son. He never broke a sweat, however I certainly did! Gorgeous views and quite a workout for me.

I went at 10 am on a Friday morning and it was uncomfortably packed. There were at least two scout groups of about ten to fifteen kids, and two adult groups of about ten each later up the trail. Not to mention the numerous single and double hikers. Because of the crowds the hike became unbearably slow and wasn’t tranquil. I guess I am a bit of a curmudgeonly hiker.

Having said the above, Pros: pretty views, lovely foliage, usually nice weather during the summer. Cons: going very slowly due to getting stuck behind so many crowds, listening to lots of other people’s conversations, stopping often to let others pass the opposite direction, difficulty finding parking.

I will say that this is a great hike for children because it has a fun payout for not too much effort. Just be sure to use the bathroom before you get to the trailhead because the bathrooms there are so gross.

I hope you all have a better experience than I did. :-) Happy hiking!

Awesome hike. Waterfalls are a must see.

Easy hike, tons of places to take the kids to play in the water. Awesome waterfall. Definitely a must see!

I did this trail on the way to Tuck and Robin Lakes. Very easy access to the trail which means tons of hikers. Everybody is nice that I met but the bathrooms are closed here at the trailhead so plan for that.

The trail has many small stream crossings so waterproof boots would help a lot. I counted three large camp sites at this area (trailside) and I'm sure they're more if you managed to make it to the other side of Hyas Lake.

Beautiful place and if you are looking to get out with minimal effort, this is the place to go.
Just take your time and look at the wild paintbrush in bloom through the meadows

Happy Hiking y'all.

Best trail I’ve been on in the PNW.
Not heavily trafficked
Easy to make a day hike (right amount of challenge)but worth spending a night to really enjoy the incredible views.
This hike offered breathtaking and changing views the entire time.
It is very exposed so bring sunscreen/ protection.
We ran into mountain goats!

Totally too easy of a “hike” but very beautiful with the river and falls!

So stunning and so beautiful :) I have been hiking the entire summer and yet this one absolutely took my breath away. This hike is perfect in every way - you have a beautiful views and mountains and green valleys all the way through, you run into mountain goats along the way and then you have an incredible pay off at the end with a stunning lake tucked in between a gorgeous basin. And no bugs to bother you. What else could you want?

one of the nicest hikes I've discovered in the whole area. height 2 days ago very little bugs left campsites were full. Would love to have climbed over the Ridge from the lake and do a loop hike back to parking area. Should have actually done that after I seen on Google how easy it looked. we hiked with our dog up to the ridge 1 km before the lake and found a sign that said dogs were not allowed any further from that point. So be sure to research that

The beginning of the hike is easier and runs along side a river. You’ll start to hear the waterfall as you hike deeper and start to gain a little elevation. There is a fabulous lookout point with benches to enjoy the view of the waterfall from afar. The hike becomes a slightly harder with lots of change in elevation towards the waterfall. There are no signs on the trail. We ended up at the upper falls spot first and then went back down towards the lower falls lookout afterwards. Gorgeous hike!!

Overall good family friendly hike, it is busy though.

Fun way to spend a hot day! Views from upper and lower falls are gorgeous!

Since today was a hot and hazy August day I thought the shade on the trail would be a nice way to stay cool.
Overall, the shady center of the trail was the best part in my opinion. The first part and final parts of the trail are a little steep. I feel like Little Si is more challenging than the views are worth. However it's very well maintained and traveled.

My friend, who has just recently gotten into getting back into shape and I hiked this trail today. She is almost 60, and I am in my mid-sixties. We enjoyed many streams, tall trees, views of the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, and just hanging out together. It is rated easy, and at our age and ability found it very doable but it’s still a workout. We went down to the lookout for the highest waterfall (lots of stairs and not all of them very even heights) and we are glad we did. Enjoyable day, even though it was in the 90’s by the time we were done, since there are virtually no places where the sun is beating down on you.

Incredible views! We went on a Sunday morning and only saw two other people hiking the trail. It’s a short trail but straight uphill. The lookout was open and staffed with volunteers. The road up was well maintained. Definitely worthwhile!

Beautiful! We went on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was incredibly busy due to the swimming hole at the beginning of this hike. But we didn’t run into many people on the hike. Stopped to swim along the way and at the lake. Loved it!

Climbed on a hot day and the shade in the fern forests was great. One of my favorite hikes in Washington.

pretty good hike, fun one with my son

2 stars because of the hype, the parking situation and the crowds. I thought this would be much more beautiful than advertised. It's basically an urban flat trail through the woods with a smallish waterfall at the end. Parking is insane! So many people. We kept going to Denny Creek for a longer hike. It's probably a nice small hike for families with little kids, but watch out for them going off trail (this is easy to do) and getting into the poison ivy or the devil's club.

Pretty trail along that river that is very crowded with new hikers.
