The waterfall was stunning. We parked on the Mass side but also chose to go along the NY side and back. It was a lovely hike!!

We did this hike on 4/14/18. It was a cool, crisp day.

The mile-ish hike up was strenuous and the rock scramble was challenging, which was a great workout. The waterfall was picturesque.

Unfortunately, although the weather was nice, it was hazy and the views were less than amazing. Perhaps with the fall foliage, there would have more of an impact.

Wow, what amazing day. It’s a short hike down on the MA side. We even did it in about a half of inch of snow. Be sure to wear warm socks or bring extras, very wet. But stunning falls. I will be back!

NY parking provides an easy family friendly hike to the falls. MA parking gives a short stint of challenging terrain down to the falls, a fun little burst of the hikers high!!

really enjoyed the trail, was well maintained. the falls and the river were beautiful and made the trail enjoyable for the entire hike.

Great moderate hike..started from small parking lot off of route 341. Went up and over both St John's ledges and Calebs peak. Took about 4 hours with a stop for lunch on Calebs Peak...plenty of rocks to sit on and enjoy the view south of the Housatonic Valley

Must see for Massachusetts

This is the most difficult part of Devils Path. I did it from Mink Hollow and climbed Plateau and Sugarloaf. On 1/21 crampons (not just microspikes) we’re very useful

If your in western Massachusetts or eastern N.Y. traveling on 87, this is worth a stop. Short hike down to some dramatic falls . Don’t forget your camera!

Twin mountain has such an excellent summit view.. and the sugarloaf view is also one of my favorites in the Catskills. you can see the Shawangunks in the distance!

dope as sh^t

Great hike. Very challenging. Left flashlight at home so started descending from the top during sunset so had to use iPhone as flash light. Be aware of animals at sunset. There are two spots with a great view. However I went all the way to the top as well thinking that’s where the best view would be but there was no view from there. Good luck to anyone it’s definitely a great experience :)

This trail is poorly marked , and not maintained. The way up is about a 1 mile vertical climb. very loose rock , and tons of leaves it also runs side by side with the waterfall that spills over on to the trail . with that being said the view at the top was amazing ...the way down was super dangerous and almost impossible at the yellow blazes. when we got down it was dark and other people were still stranded trying to get down. I've done at least 67 hikes in 8 different states. this was not fun .

Nice hike up along a stream, crisscrossing it along the way. Then a straight shot to the rock. Only 5.5 hours to sunset! Nice view.

Short hike with awesome views of a moderate waterfall. All along the trail, the air is filled with the sounds of running water, as the path parallels the stream.

Pretty view at the top. One section had a steep climb, but not super long. Nice walk along creek side.

Short, rugged trail, boulders and tree roots, natural stone stairs and long wooden steps. Stones down around the falls are smooth and slick from years of traffic, you just have to be careful. Not many visitors this time of year and cooler temperatures made this a very pleasant and quick hike. Very pretty hike through mature forest with lots of moss covered boulders.

Perfect quick hike.

Moderate/easy hike on the AT! Most sections of the hike are flat. I really loved the spot at Rand’s View- definitely has to be one of the best viewpoints on the CT AT (it’s featured at the REI in Milford likely for that reason). Would definitely recommend!

Did Twin Mtn trail from Pediger Rd. Decent hike. Lots of rock scrambles. Nice pano view near summit. 4-4.5 hrs.

Probably one of my favorite waterfall spots! Very easy hike to and from the falls. Hike the stream to or from the falls if you what to be more adventurous BUT be very careful of how slippery the rocks can be! We got there around 9 on a Sunday and we’re the third car in the lot, left at 11:30 and the lot was packed. Get there early if you want to peace to enjoy the beauty of this place.

It all up hill

It was a pretty technical trail. It is a well marked trail. We were a little disappointed that the water wasn't flowing because it has been too dry. The views from Brace Mountain are fantastic! A great place for a picnic lunch and to relax with friends! We had a great time and burned a lot of calories. I would recommend doing this hike!

A tough uphill. Real huff and puff. No view on top of Sugarloaf ( just a tiny 3 rock cairn to mark summit). Still worth it. Rocks are slippery so use caution.

Lots of trails near by, we came this morning to look at the falls. breath taking, no one was there this morning. We had lunch by the water and jus listen to the falls. We decided to park on the Massachusetts side instead of N.Y.. If you have a hard time hiking go on the N.Y. side you can just park at the bottom of the falls. Two outdoor potties in the parking lot. super clean. No swimming allowed. Beautiful spot to just relax.

This is the tallest waterfall in Mass, and it is impressive. Check out my full write up which includes directions and things to look out for.

Closer to easy than moderate, and a beautiful waterfall and pool combination!

Beautiful Section of Trail.
