Went hiking here on a Thursday morning so parking was Not a issue. after the short walk to the trailhead we walk on a dusty path until we got deeper into the forest then you see how green and pretty it is. the water flow is a trickle, but I've been here before after the rain and it was flowing and beautiful. Right now it is like "hard mud" the insects are buzzing around the mud and water, you might want to bring bug repellant. I think I swallowed a bug ha ha. it's a easy hike to the falls, please be careful the rocks are huge and smooth. I have very good hiking boots and theres no grip, so slipping is possible and the water is low. I know this is a "cliff jumping" spot but looking at the low water and seeing the rocks I can't believe people jump off this. i think if they saw what's down there when the water is low they would think twice. So easy, good hike. Wish there wasn't so much trash and graffiti but you can still see the beauty in nature. #mountaingirl

Amazing views

Beautiful waterfall but rather find a way to get to the top

Busy but fun
Tough in some parts but doable

Get there early if you want to find parking!

Completed this trail twice in the last month or so, once in each direction and each time took around 4 hours. Really is a beautiful trail with plenty of wildlife. Saw multiple deer on both hikes. No water sources on the trail, so bring everything you need. Visiting the fire watchtower is worth the extra 10 minutes for the views.

Nice mellow hike. second half is shaded. Obviously, not too much water but it's worth seeing the end.

As previously stated parking is a challenge if you don’t arrive early. Over all it was a nice leisurely hike many squirrels, dragon flies and butterflies.. Colors are beginning to change. Was able to take a nice peaceful nap at Hodgees campsite before heading back down the trail.

Great hike with family. Good incline, total hike felt more than 3.2 miles. Shade on lower part of trail. Beautiful views of the ocean!

This is my first hike in a national forest and I really enjoyed it! This route in particular wasn’t too steep and has plenty of shade, my 10 year-old brother who didn’t really have any hiking experience said it was an easy hike. Just make sure you arrive early because the parking lot fills up quickly; we arrived at 6:50 am (Sunday) and we had to park a long way down the road!

No water at the falls but still a great hike, definitely a work out though once you get to the rocks. I've been here before when there is water and it is amazing, will be coming back but probably after some rain.

It was amazing view! We loved this trail and will come back for the ocean view for sure! We hiked 6.2 miles for 2 hours!! Early morning is recommended as there is not much shade or canopy.

I remember this hike from earlier this year. I'd say it's more of a hike than a running trail..

beautiful as is!

There are so many different ways to go. I definitely need to come back and explore further. :) Cool trail, though I would have rated it as hard instead of moderate. There is a steep uphill and flight of stairs if you find rattlesnake trail, totally off of the main trail. :) Coming back soon with more water. :)

One of my favorites!

Currently my favorite trail, however it becomes very busy during the week ends. I would suggest to arrive super early or car pool.

spectacular views, honestly one of the best moderate trails I've visited.

Well marked trail with beautiful vistas

Def. One of the hardest hikes of the trip! It’s not moderate! It’s hard. Once you’re on the top it requires lots of climbing to get to the top views. Is it worth it? 100%!!! The views are amazing !

Take water and snacks because you’ll def need it !

very nice trail. lots of shade, water was very dirty bcus of no water flow. other than that very peaceful trail

Really good hike, but I would say it is more strenuous than moderate only because it is steep and requires a lot of rock scrambling. When you get to the top, go to the left and climb further up for a second cool view!

Great moderate hike/climb. Start as early as possible to avoid heat and potential crowds. If you start the climb later in the morning and the heat kicks in, push through it will be worth it and along with the spectacular views up top. You’ll be gifted with shade and a cool breeze up top which makes the whole climb worth it! Pro tip sit and have lunch and a nap before you come back down Enjoy!

Nice easy hike. Way too many people on the weekends. Unfortunately the last time I went there was some kind of company family event. There seemed to be a hundred ppl crowding the waterfall. Kids running and yelling everywhere. Not the peaceful experience i was looking for.

Awesome hike. Make sure and explore a bit at the end to find those special views.

Great afternoon ,great view.

We visited today at around 7:30 am and finding parking was a hassle! Overall getting to the waterfall wasn’t overly difficult however save the energy for the way back, its much more difficult. Overall this is a beautiful trail and is very tranquil. Definitely would recommend it.

Hot today!! A bit crowded and parking was difficult.
Great hike though.

Gorgeous views at top, we even heard a panflute wafting in from the distance. On the strenuous side of moderate but not very long. Exposed most of the time so bring sunscreen!

Too short of a hike, but not short of graffiti
Our kids loved all the colors
