I took the hiker’s non-stop shuttle from Apgar Village which arrived at Logan’s Pass around 8:00 am. I hit the trail at 8:20 and made it to the Loop around 4:00 and grabbed a shuttle back down to Apgar Village. The views were spectacular. The wild flowers were absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful views. Had to re route our campsites due to grizzly activity, which made for a long second day. But the grizzly’s were amazing when we did see see them. Make sure to bring a lot of water, especially if the lake is closed as there as no other place to get water. The rain left us a little soggy. Would love to try again with better conditions.

Beautiful hike in August

One of the first hikes we did in the NW and we were hooked after that. Hiking through old cedar, often next to a raging river, only to be rewarded with a beautiful crystal clear lake surrounded by mountains.

One of my favorite in glacier national park! I would recommend doing it from Logan’s Pass & working down. The views are amazing, being able to see the whole valley & the vast scenery of the whole park is worth the distance! Nightly recommend!

Beautiful hike through the old growth cedars along the creek, ending at a glacial lake with great waterfalls and thick plant life everywhere!

a long yet if your up for the 14 mile hike and XC skiing well worth it hike! amazing views from the start to finish! We thought we would be the only people up there, but there was about 6 other people behind us. make sure to start early, it took us about 12 hours, because of the road being closed 5 miles before the trail!!!

Hiked this back in July. Amazing hike with great views as a good length of the trail is along the side of the mountain with the valley and Going to the Sun Rd below. Shuttled up to Logan Pass and then hiked back to the car that way.

There’s a short path a little over half way through that goes up to the Grinnell Glacier overlook. Would definitely recommend this but while the hike is short, the elevation gain is pretty tough at this point. If starting from Logan Pass, there’s a nice little stream/watering hole near the end of the trail that was wonderful to sit in after doing the hike.

One of the coolest hikes I've ever completed. I did a short out and back day hike with my parents while visiting Glacier. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the park to at least spend a couple hours hiking the highline...Cannot wait to get back to Glacier!

Amazing hike!

First hike I completed in the park and the view you are rewarded with at the end is well worth it. Be sure to carry bear spray, even though it is a very popular hike and almost always crowded during tourist season you still have a chance at seeing a bear.

A short and easy hike through the woods with a spectacular lake framed with mountains at the end and a nice stream with small waterfalls at the beginning. The chipmunks and golden-mantled ground squirrels by the lake are so used to human presence, you can observe them from closer up than anywhere else I've ever been.
If you have a half-afternoon free and happen to be in the area, this hike is an absolute must! Just expect parking to be somewhat difficult at peak season, as the hike is very popular.

We hiked this trail in back in August and it was beautiful! Very hot that time of year so definitely make sure to bring enough water. Lots of colorful flowers! Relatively easy and flat until the last downhill portion. That was pretty relentless. Parking was a pain, so if you want a good spot make sure to get there plenty early! Was an awesome trail overall!

Beautiful hike.

Nice shady moderate hike for our last day in Glacier after being beat up from all the other hikes of our trip. The lake is so pretty and the falls into it are breathtaking.

One if the pretties hikes I've ever been on. The views in the morning light were amazing along with the blue flowers growing out of the rocks that the mountain goats were climbing. I feels so lucky to of been able to see the Sperry Chalet before it was burned down. It was so cool inside. I recommend not starting at Logan pass but at the loop a going though the burn area last was awful in the hot sun my cousin almost had a heatstroke and the beautiful waterfall with crystal clear water was a life saver. Soaked in lake McDonald to finish up the perfect day.

make sure you go on a clear day or you will be disappointed. the view at the end is fantastic

Only downside was the smoke closing the view from the wild fires in Sept.

one of the best hikes in my life!!

Busy trail, but the lake at the end is worth it!

Absolutely breathtaking! Parked at the loop parking lot and rode the shuttle to Logan’s pass. Hiked to Granite Chalet then took the loop trail to the parking lot. 12.5miles of pure heaven

Nice and somewhat easy hike! It was extremely busy but that did not stop us from enjoying it. Once we hit Avalanche Lake we took a little break, dipped our toes in the water and enjoyed the beautiful scenery!

Easy hike with great views on the beginning and end of the trail! Avalanche Lake is well worth it!

Great hike, fast and easy. Lake was gorgeous. Fishing was slow but successful.

So many trails, mind blowing sights, definitely try to spend a weekend or long weekend camping to make the most of it.

Picked Glacier as my senior trip destination. This has held up over the years as the very best trail I have ever hiked.

One of the best hikes I've ever done! There is always something beautiful to see every climb and the views are nothing but spectacular! Bring lots of water because it's a long and fun hike!

We just spent 6 days in Glacier and logged over 100 miles. This was the best hike we went on. Spurs to lookout points are well worth the additional miles. Enjoy!

Nice, easy trail to some really cool views. If you can go in the fall, it's quieter with less people.
