Amazing run. Really enjoyed the woods area

Highway noise is audible the whole time and the trail crossed several road with decent vehicle traffic. At one point it ran up against housing. Decent trail if you take the proximity of the city into account. The dog had a lot of fun though.

Beautiful fall day. Amazing golds and flame reds from the trees. Cool breeze in the sun making it perfect for hiking. A little road noise near the 55 but otherwise you could never guess where you you are. Easy walking. Great for our dog. Not too many times you can look down in Illinois unless your in a building but the glen gives you that privilege. Thankful for such a beautiful day.

I didn’t make it to the waterfall before nightfall, but a bit disappointed. Wasn’t as exclusive as I enjoy my trail hikes to be. Head the highway the whole time and there were telephone wires through the forest area and lots of roads to cross. Not bad for the length and the proximity to the city, and the areas are nice.

Really calm hike through the forest. There is a nice small waterfal mid trail. Lot's of runners.

Awesome trail!! This trail has a little something for every hiker. This trail can be easy to moderate depending on what path you take. We did the loop around the lake and thought it was perfect! Great views!

Beautiful and peaceful trail with lots of prairie plants and flowers. Wide trails make it enjoyable for bicyclists as well. Would have liked more views of the lake itself, but it is probably good that the shore is kept natural. There are a few viewpoints. Will definitely be going back.

Went on a Sunday morning with my dog and it was beautiful. Great views from the top of Mount Hoy plus a good workout to get there! Definitely want to go back to explore more of the trails. The lake seemed to be getting busier by mid-morning but the trails still were lightly trafficked.

Definitely nice scenery and plenty of options in terms of trails to switch around on. I wouldn't consider the trails to be hard though, maybe intermediate. overall it's a nice place.

This Park is awesome. There is more Hiking than is displayed in the description. We hiked 5 miles comprised of Hiking and biking paths. The scenery is beautiful with, what appears to be, invasive plant management. Some trails are flat, some rolling and some more steep.

The Park offers a ton of amenities - hiking, biking, volleyball, fishing and even a place to get beer and brats.

They’re restoring the creek, which was nice to see.

Not for biking too slippery!

Good gravel trail for hiking/biking.

also great for horse riding.

Beautiful early morning walks in this 9 mile trail.

Great scenery. Well kept. Wonderful waterfall.

Amazing views once you get to the top! There were wild flowers along the trail while we were there!

Expansive and there are lots of activites available if that's what you seek. If you prefer peace and quiet, that's easy to find once you get a few minutes away from the parking lot. Boat rentals, hike/bike paths, sledding hill (with tube rental available), camping, etc.

Hiked this loop in July on a sunny, 78-degree day. Trails very well maintained by forest preserve. You’re on the Illinois prairie and it is serene and quiet. A good hike or trail run any time of day.

Nice quick trail in the woods with a river over look..... very small forest preserve but nice place to get out for a little while. Canoe access on the I&M canal and shore access for fishing on the river. Some parts with steeper elevation but overall very easy hike.

Great place to train for long distance hikes, but not technical. Bug spray/lotion is a must between miles 4 - 7 from the parking lot off Bluff rd. to the Des Plaines River outlook because the mosquitoes will cover you if you haven’t applied anything. I think miles 7 - 2 (going counterclockwise/NE from the Bluff rd lot) has the best scenery.

My parents have taken me here since I was an infant, best place to get close to nature.

Good trail to test out pack load/equipment. Bring a hat or sunblock for there isn’t much shading. It’s a pretty busy loop, but everyone is polite and there’s room for everyone.

Good hike. Lots of trails branching off the main ones. Worn paths with quite a few overgrown areas. As long as you stay on the path that looks the most worn and widest, you'll be able to complete it accurately. Took us just over an hour to do. We tracked this as just under 4 miles.

Nice trail well maintained

Very beautiful trail. Beware, if you ask the staff where the trail begins you will have to pay $10 and sign a waiver.

"Main Trail" is 9.5 mile long with beautiful long trees and some water bodies along the route. scenic views mentioned on trail map arent really scenic. water is all dried out. trail roads clearly marked. no water fountain in middle of trail. restrooms every 3 miles almost. horse back riding possible.

This trail has been expanded to more then double the length in 2017. Should noted that horses are allowed too. It can entered off Jericho Rd or Granart Rd

Nice steep hills. Outer loop of the trail is not maintained. I’m 5’8 and the weeds were taller than me. Easy trail for a warm up
