This is good of you want to try out your bike ( your kids) or do. A run in a close but safe area :) and it’s off to other trials but this is a gated trails it’s still a nice hike they have restrooms half way /threw along with water (nice picture backgrounds on the bridge ;) of LA when leaving depends if you got out going upwards you go right under the Hollywood sign / good hiking area too (

No waterfall and currently there is a foul smell where the waterfall is located. I suggest coming back after it rains, usually this is a nice hike.

Water fall is empty at times but a great short trail.

Nice down and up loop trail. Well maintained. I went in August so pretty dry but plenty of shaded trail. Interesting view of a satellite station. Cool Ranger Outpost and seated areas at entrance. Don’t blink or you will miss the parking lot. Surrounded by million dollar properties. If your looking for more of a challenging climb go right at start of loop. If your like me and go the path of least resistance go left.

Very hot! Make sure you bring $5 exactly and a pen! Bring water!! Ok trail for dogs, but remember to bring water for them. Very narrow trail and would not recommended going by your self .

Easy hike and great for kids. Lots of colorful dragonflies this time of year.

I liked nice view and very quiet, easy to find parking

Short and easy trail but the pay off is that you can say you went to the original Adam West Batcave!

Very cool

Also saw a bunch of little animals on the way, which was fun.

When I went on this hike on July 14th, the trails were poorly maintained. So much of the grass and brush was overgrown that for 40% of the hike you’re walking on a path a foot wide, with plants scraping at you up to you waist. The trails are also not clearly marked. The trail has little shade as well. The view of the ocean is nice, but the majority of the hike is in overgrown grass, and this view could similarly been seen by driving to an overlook. I would avoid this hike.

To call this concrete walkway a trail or this walk a hike is a blow off the water lie.

This is NOT a trail, but a concrete walk build around a human made lake.

Often times, depending on time and day, it is over crowded. Not uncommon to run into groups of three or four people walking next to each other taking the whole path and blocking others. you have to ether ask them to move or go around them. Complete disregard for others. Not surprising, people often do that on the bike path around the park, why not here?

The best thing about this walk is to watch the ducks swans. But at the same time it can be upsetting. I have seen plenty of people feeding them even though there are signs that clearly state not to do it. It affects their migration habits and it is illegal. But people do it anyway. I suppose some people think signs and laws do not apply to them.

Perhaps my review is a bit more “negative” than others, but I crew up in the Valley and have frequented this park and many others and I have seen this park go from bad to worst. More and more people and people using it few good parks we have in the Valley in very selfish ways. At the same time I am not one to sugar coat things. Yes, it’s a pretty place with some beautiful animals, but it does have it’s downfalls.

Unless it’s raining, do not expect to spend some nice quite time. If you want some alone time and quite time, just you and nature, this is not the place for you.

this was more of a walk than a hike very flat and pretty much asphalt all the way around and the fence didn't help the view at all but we still had a good time

Easy hike through nice houses... Disappointed waterfall but then again it's so cal so was expected

PARKING: limited parking on a dirt lot. Fees apply. I think it was $3 for an hour and $6 for 2.
THE BEACH: very beautiful rock formations that have been through a lot of erosion over the year that you don't see in many California beaches.

Apparently, because of these picturesque scenery and uncommon rock formations, this place is a hot bed of photo shoots. Its like, okay, i want to enjoy my time here but i also don't want to be in your shoots but if i am, pay me some commission. LOL.

But if you walk/swim north, you'll find areas uninhabited by flash photography and models. there's a cool cave, which you can walk in and just enjoy the smell of seaweed, scent of salty water, and sounds of waves crashing. (Funny coincidence - i was just listening to Stuff You Should Know the episode about Tsunamis)

If you do decide to traverse north to other beaches, take your time cause those steps are slippery and there are plenty of rocks you can slip on and crack your head on. This is a little morbid of me to think but i wonder how many and how often people slip and get knocked out and get pulled into the ocean. Yikes!

Anyway, very beautiful beach even when its overcast. Aside from all the hoomans taking photos on rock and giving their best duck lips, this place was pretty neat. If you're about the photo-bombing life, this is a place for you as well.

Also, is there an option for "Frolicking" as an activity cause that's exactly what i did here.

Easy and short. Caves are semi cool, and you can see the Hollywood sign after you pass the caves. Good place to bring out of towners who can’t handle much incline or long treks

Super easy nice warm up

Great for social walk. Great run for beginners. About 1.3 miles around the lake.

A few nice views of the Coast and Ocean. Not a lot of shade so make sure it is a cool day.

muy bien

If you follow the red trail that is shown, it is a steep and narrow trail. Took our two little kids and it was rough. I don't feel like the hike outlined is the correct one perhaps? We were definitely mislead. Lots of trail options there, but if you follow the red outlined trail, it's not easy and has you take strange paths. Wouldn't recommend for kids.

This place was beautiful, even though when you get there they have a bomb of trials and some don’t even continue it was beautiful. Very simple for beginners the views of the pond are beautiful, fun to be adventurous and seeing what you find. Once you hit the main trail it’s a good work out.

easy.

It was a beautiful hike with lots of trees and nature, but there was not much water. We were able to see a little bit of the falls, but it was obvious that the water was going down. So if you want to see the falls, go sooner than later! Still beautiful, for what it is, even though it smells like sulfur.

Havent done the whole trail, although the part I did, seemed fairly easy.

I love the pond which includes koi, fish and geese!

A nice place to take a lesson experienced friend or family member :)

Super easy! If you’re a beginner on hiking this is a good place to start. Easy mellow very chill, early mornings are best, super empty so you feel like you’re there alone. Good for dogs and kids, awesome pics on a clear sunny day.

Really pretty hike! Dog friendly and the waterfall is a great spot to sit before heading back.

Great, easy hike. Dog-friendly and lots of shaded areas.

Family friendly hike. There was resident's honking at everyone to move, there was plenty of horse poop, and the waterfall was dry like trickles falling, and it smelled horrible. when you get to waterfall becarefull while I was there all the loose rocks had 8 hikers fall.

Loved this hike! My 5 year hiked the whole way. The “weeping wall” or falls is really beautiful. I would definitely do this hike again.

I liked this hike cuz it was easy :)
