Great trail to take the pup out on! Keep an eye out for the moose about 1/2 way up. He loves to hang out in the thicket by the pines.

So beautiful and so worth it!

Rocky and not a pretty trail, old atv trail.

Lovely hike. So beautiful the entire way to the Falls, and the Falls themselves are awesome.

Amazing views! This is a very steep trail and although the first 1.1 miles to the “Y” is a little underwhelming, the remaining 2.2 miles to the peak was awesome. Beautiful trails, colorful nature, and leg destroying climbing! I will definitely be running this again. Bombing down from the peak was an absolute blast, just make sure to be loud so people can get out of the way, because there is no way you can stop once you pickup some speed.

Love Sundance and Stewart Falls.

The view was a bit disappointing.

Easy walk to view the falls.

Very pretty during the fall with some great views. The trail gets a little rocky and loose but overall it was fun and short.

Lovely trail to see the fall colors, and the hike is easy/fairly flat with good tree cover and a stream and is dog friendly and wasn’t crowded at all.

This was a fun, short hike. We walked from Nunns Park up to the trailhead and then hiked to the falls. very beautiful waterfall and a close hike to get away from the city life! To get up close to the falls there is a bit of a scramble but the rest of the hike is fine. Steep, but short and doable for all.

Spectacular trail with incredible views of snow covered mountains, trees changing colors for fall. My 7 year old and I hiked to the top of Y mountain and she and I were able to enjoy the wonderful weather and views.

Save yourself from crowds of people and all the things that come with that and do this hike during the week and early in the day to refresh your spirit in the outdoors. This is a fun hike to a great falls.

Not a kid friendly trail! this was tough, took me a second to find it and then it was exactly a nice hiking trail. got to the top and wasnt that impressed. nice to waste time but the trip down was rough. the rocks were loose and even my dog had issues.

One of my new favorites!! Fun fun fun. . With great views and smells from the fresh air infused with the creek and the fall colors! Get your blood pumping .

Took my nieces and nephews (ages 8, 9, 12, &13) on this family-friendly hike. The trail gently rolls up and down until the final descent to the falls. It took us 2 hours roundtrip going at a very leisurely pace and with about 20 minutes down at the falls. This trail is not strenuous at all and is very beautiful, especially in the fall.

I really loved this hike! You have a b
view almost every step of the way. I clocked in at 4.6 miles total though, but worth it. We saw 5 deer and a bull moose right off the trail. My 4 and 6 year olds were able to do this with slight help. The dirt road leading up to this is pretty bumpy though, that was the worst part.

Awesome trail! To go to upper falls, drive on to that parking lot. After crossing the bridge you have a choice. If you go right you will see the building with graffiti. This is the main trail behind the building
. If you go slightly left instead you will see the pink ribbon trail. This is a lot less steep and rocky. Much easier.

Best hike ever!

Late Fall weather has the colors on the mountain popping! The weather and temperature was as perfect as it could be. Cooler in the morning, but warming quickly. Dark clouds loomed over the mountain most of the day, but we received no rain or snow.
From Aspen Grove it took us 4 hours and 15 minutes to summit. Winds on top were calmer than usual, only blowing small rocks.
Our 1 year old mix breed pup loves the hike, and hasn’t had any problems with his feet on the rough terrain.
The trail had lots of good people on it today.

This is a fairly quick hike that is easily enjoyable. Nothing too strenuous, and it provides beautiful views. The falls are a bit low in autumn, but still fun to hike to. It's a bit busier than a lot of other trails in the canyon though.

Gorgeous trail. We were in a race against the fading daylight so I would rate this hard vs moderate merely for the speed we were going. If you have Verizon, you will NOT get service for your map so make sure you download the map before you get to the parking lot. We hiked the last 0.5 mile in the dark. The views were absolutely stunning and as we only had time for a quick (under 2 hours) hike, this one was perfect. Huge scenery payout for the time invested.

Nice hike, a little tricky without good shoes due to loose shale.

This was an amazing hike. My 4 & 6 year old even hiked straight up the waterfall to the pool where the main fall lands. Incredible views, very fun, and did this while holding my 2 year old in an ergo. *I wouldn't recommend everyone attempt that, but I feel pretty confident in my hiking abilities.

My brother-in-law did the same with his and there 3 & 5 year old did great too.

Fun hike - gorgeous fall colors! Took us 2 hours up and 1.25 hours back down. Very cool views of rock canyon at the top - surprisingly, not very cold.

Keep in mind, you have to pay a $6.00 fee to park at the entrance of the trail. Also, the 3-mile dirt road leading up to the trail is a bit bumpy. I wouldn’t recommend driving up in something that doesn’t have AWD. I brought my 5 year old on this hike and he did really well (we took a lot of breaks haha). The scenery is beautiful and I found myself wanting to take pictures at every turn. I’ve never been in the spring/summer, but I can’t imagine a better time to hike here than in the fall when all the leaves are changing color.

Loved this hike today! Refreshing and beautiful!

simply awe inspiring!
