Absolutely love this trail. We were lucky and hit it the day after a rain and the waterfalls were spectacular, even caught a double rainbow at the first one (see pictures). Both waterfalls you can go behind. Down at the bottom of the first make sure to venture of the trail (follow the creek bed and climb up the rocks a bit) there is a gorgeous hidden small waterfall. If you climb up onto the rocks there is a small cave. The trails were nice and well marked. We drove from Louisville, KY and it was well worth it. Will def do it again. We went on a 58 degree day in Jan and was at the trail by 1030 am and took the last parking spot. There’s plenty of parking, but that’s how popular it was and even when leaving, people were still pouring in. This isn’t a long or hard trail, but take your time and explore off trail a bit when you see the opportunity. There’s some steps and rock
Climbing. It’s an amazing trail!

Very clean well mark trail. Very maneuverable with the dog. Kids have not stopped talking about how much fun it was. Looking forward to a winter hike to check out the frozen falls.

Indiana continues to surprise me! Great easy hike with lots of little ups and downs and arounds and windy-ness. Felt quick and very pleasant. Definitely 5.1 not 5.8 miles. “Rugged” is a good word to describe, and my boyfriend kept gushing about how great of a mountain biking trail it would have been, & well up-kept.

Excellent trail

My wife and I decided to take advantage of nice weather in December and hike the 4.5 mile loop. We did not get out until late afternoon and was worried about light doing any more. It was actually only 4 miles. The trail was well marked and not too wet, even with all the rain we had gotten. Ditches and creeks were easy to get past.

We are preparing to section hike the AT in the fall, so I loaded my pack with about 30lbs and used this as a test. We will be back to hike the full in the future.

this is a must-visit

This is an awesome trail overall. Hardly hiked, so in the summer there will be spider webs. There's a lot of wildlife on this trail, so if you're quiet, you will see a fair amount of deer, does, etc. I spotted a beaver, fox, and two doe on this trail. The trail changes quiet a bit.

This is the coolest little loop trail in Indiana. It's literally a playground. There's cool stuff tucked away off trail everywhere. I'd come back to this trail just to get off trail. So fun.

Perfect for a short, quick hike. Well maintained, well marked trails. Awesome geology.

Great scenic hike with a ton of views to see and explore. The trail is easy and please take the second loop on the trail. You don’t want to miss the second waterfall along with a large shallow cave! You can walk inside the cave while being right behind the waterfall.

My wife and I completed this trail on a 35 degree (at most) day and for the first time on this trail, plenty of water was flowing over the falls. And, due to the cold temps, plenty of ice at the bottoms of the falls. This is one of my favorite hikes in terms of scenery, bluffs, cliffs, rock faces, and similar. Absolutely beautiful area. Overall, this is a easy to moderate trail with only a handful of sketchy areas for the really young or old. Exploring around and off the trail is what makes this trail so fascinating! See our photos here.

Nice fall hike. New signage throughout trail and logged areas have thickened up nicely since last year.

This trail is actually 16 miles. It says so on the park map and after the hike my phone said that i hiked 16 miles also. I highly recommend hiking this counter clockwise do to the hills. Great workout. I finished in about 5 hours.

thoroughly enjoyed this hike and want to try it on a wintery day.
I chose to go clockwise on the loop with the goal of visiting the Terrill cemetery...it is Halloween season so had to investigate.
Very creepy place and didn't stick around long. I doubled back and hiked the rest of the loop. The sections of the trail that are covered in pine needles were a treat to walk on!
I hadn't hiked since late winter so the length was perfect and I wasn't too tired after 9 miles.

Visited on a Monday morning and only saw two others on the trail. We basically had the whole canyon to ourselves! Very beautiful!

Scenic, pretty easy, good distance. Saw a snake by the lake, but that's to be expected near the water in the woods. Started to rain and we got real muddy real quick, but again, I'd expect no less. Overall was nice.

I think that I am really liking this trail. We have already had a water crossing.

Nice trail, beautiful scenery. Unfortunately, the waterfall was dried up on our visit. There is a single disperse campsite located to the right of the entrance.

Good hike. Great little place and well marked. Just make sure you take at the loop!

Good workout. Narrow trail as grasses and weeds very prevalent.

Great hike, even without the waterfall running and the creek beds being pretty dry. Definitely take the optional loop when you get too it. The shallow cave at the top is awesome.

Trail is the best marked trail I’ve been on. Easy grade changes, rocky trail.

Fun backpacking trip with my dad and little sister. The two lakes are gorgeous in early springtime, particularly around evening. The sun sets to the right corner and fog dances across the water. The trail took us over hills, through forests, a river crossing or two, some marshy areas, and a few areas that had been deforested, but overall, solid Indiana countryside. The wildflowers were beautiful, especially the Fire Pinks.

This is a wonderful 2.5 mile trail to hike. It had good elevation and turns with very good trail markers. The dense trees provided a perfect canopy on a hot, humid morning. We wished we had time to hike the entire trail. To get to the trail entrance, follow the golf course signs to the practice area and first tee.

Great trail, easy to navigate. Lots of spider webs, but hey, we are in the woods.
