good trail for a late afternoon hike. will be really pretty when all of the rhododendron are blooming.
It was 54 degrees and overcast which made the elevation gain enjoyable on such a cool day. Overall not too difficult but definitely more climb than I was expecting. Trails are well groomed.
Really gorgeous short trail. Not much to it as it’s very short and a little muddy, but a beautiful view
Super easy trail, in my opinion. We took the short way up (0.8 miles up) and the long way back (1.1 miles back). We got there early and were the only ones there! Amazing views at the top.
Nice short walk with Mary, Caitlin & Harley with falls at the end.
Quick hike to a beautiful waterfall! Little muddy and the end can get a little crowded
Nice walk in the woods with awesome views. Easy hike with good mix of open view, woods, some running water, old buildings, etc. The overlooks on the parkway leading up to trail also offer very nice views. Went on a Sunday, late morning, and it was very peaceful.
Awesome
Very nice up and back loop with great views at the top. I would say it’s a moderate trail, which took 1:15 to complete
Easy hike to nice set of falls but couple of stair sections need maintenance, careful with young children.
Headed up the shorter but steeper blue trail to catch the sunrise, then on down the orange for my return. Easy to follow in the dark. Be sure to follow alltrails description to the parking area, not where GPS tells you to turn on Wild Mountain Rd. Great place!
Great family fun!
Pretty easy going down but coming up was a bit hard. But fun and short hike!
Nice ramble over a babbling brook and alongside a rushing waterfall.
What can you possibly not like?...beautiful surroundings and nice rewards. The roundabout Hawks trail (or whatever it’s called) was moderate I’d say and just wonderful.
Great easy family trail
Fun! Great way to introduce the spring.
Nice trail to hike with the dog, barely saw anybody on a sunny Saturday, many creek crossings but nothing that felt dangerous, no view payoff but the cabin at the turnaround point was cool, unfortunately didn't see much in the way of blooms like I was expecting.
Outstanding. Has everything, cliffs, woods and a great waterfall
Beautiful trail, woods and pastures
Nice hike with some really nice views of the gorge in the second half. Nothing too strenuous. Really neat old rock chimney in the early part of the trail. Fallen limbs and trees forcing hikers to make some new paths in the trail to get around them. A good portion of the first half of this trail is along old roads and also a portion follows the NPS boundary with a wooden pasture fence on the other side of the path. Not unpleasant, but definitely not getting deep into the woods if that’s what you’re looking for. You will also hike through some pasture that has had cows in it recently but none on this March day. You will cross the BRP twice in this hike and be able to see it quite a bit while hiking through the pasture.
Couldn't complete the trail. There were at least 3 large (multiple trees) blockages right after Site D. Seemed like they had been placed on purpose.
Gorgeous views
Always one of my favorites! Some trees and limbs down, but there are easy ways sound blockages.
